In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful. 

(1) By the sun and its brightness. 

(2) And the moon as it follows the sun. 

(3) And the day as it shows the light. 

(4) And the night as it hides the light. 

(5) And by the sky and the One Who built it. 

(6) And the earth and the One Who spread it. 

(7) And the soul and the One Who perfected it. 

(8) Then gave it the ability to know right from wrong. 

(9) Indeed, those who keep their souls pure succeed. 

(10) Those who corrupt their souls fail. 

(11) Thamud rejected the truth because of their pride. 

(12) When the evilest person among them became agitated to kill the she-camel. 

(13) But God's messenger warned them, "This is God's special camel. Let her drink her water." 

(14) They called him a liar and killed the camel. In response, God brought destruction upon them, wiping out everything in sight and leveling them to the ground. 

(15) And He does not fear the consequences of His actions.
