In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

(1) O you, who's all wrapped up!

(2) Stay up all night for prayer, except for a little.

(3) Half the night or a little less.

(4) Or a bit more, and recite the Quran correctly.

(5) We're about to give you a heavy responsibility.

(6) Indeed, nighttime prayer is powerful and best for recitation.

(7) You've got a lot to do during the day.

(8) Always remember your Lord's Name and devote yourself to Him wholeheartedly.

(9) Lord of the East and West, trust in Him; there's no one else.

(10) Be patient with what they say and depart them respectfully.

(11) Leave those who don't believe, who live in luxury, and give them time.

(12) We've got chains and a fiery punishment.

(13) Food that chokes and a painful punishment.

(14) On the Day the earth and mountains shake, mountains turn to sand.

(15) Indeed. We sent you a Messenger to guide you, just like We sent someone to Pharaoh.

(16) Pharaoh didn't listen to the Messenger, so We punished him severely.

(17) So, what will you do if you don't believe on a Day that makes even children’s hair turn grey because of fear?

(18) The sky will break apart, and what God promised will happen.

(19) This is a Reminder. If you want, you can find a way to turn to God.

(20) Certainly, God knows that you, O Prophet, pray for almost two-thirds of the night, or sometimes half of it, or a third, just like some of your companions. God carefully measures the day and night. He knows it's hard, so He forgives you. Read the Quran as much as you can. God knows some of you might be sick, others traveling, and some fighting for God's cause. So, read what you can, pray, give to those in need, and support God's work. The good you do benefits you, and the rewards are even better with God. Ask God for forgiveness; He is All-Forgiving and Most Merciful.
