In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
(1) Alif, Lam, Mim, Saad.
(2) This Book was sent to you, so don't let it make you doubt yourself. Use it to warn those who don't believe and to remind the believers.
(3) Follow what your Lord has revealed to you. Don't rely on anyone else for protection or guidance. Sadly, it is too little that you think!
(4) Think about how many towns We've destroyed when they least expected it, in the middle of the night or during the day when they were fast asleep.
(5) And when punishment came, all they could say was, "Indeed, we messed up, we were wrong."
(6) We'll ask those who got the message, and We'll also ask the messengers who delivered it.
(7) We'll tell them everything with full knowledge, and We won't ignore anything.
(8) The scales On that Day will be just; Whoever his scale was heavy with good deeds will succeed.
(9) But those whose scale is light have lost themselves by not believing in the signs We sent.
(10) Indeed, We've given you a place to live and provided for you, but you hardly appreciate it.
(11) We created you, shaped you into humans, and told the angels, "Bow down to Adam." They all did, except for Iblis, who refused to bow down like the others.
(12) God asked, "Why didn't you bow when I told you to?" Satan replied, "I'm better than him. You made me from fire and him from clay."
(13) God said, "Come down from Paradise! Don't act all proud here. So, leave. You're no longer one of the honored ones."
(14) Satan said, "Give me some time until the Day of Resurrection."
(15) God said, "You're indeed given more time."
(16) Satan said, "Because you led me astray, I'll try to lead people away from doing what's right.
(17) I'll come at them from all directions, and most of them won't appreciate You."
(18) God said, "Leave Paradise! You're disgraced and rejected! I'll fill up Hell with you and your followers together."
(19) And, "O Adam, you and your wife can live in the Garden and eat whatever you want; just don't mess with that one tree, or you'll be doing something wrong."
(20) But then Satan tried to trick them into revealing what they were hiding under their clothes. He said, "God's only keeping you away from this tree to stop you from becoming angels or living forever."
(21) He promised, "Trust me, I'm giving you good advice."
(22) Then he fooled them, and they realized they were naked when they ate from the tree. They covered themselves with leaves from the Garden. Their Lord said, "Didn't I tell you to stay away from that tree? Satan's your obvious enemy."
(23) They said, "Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If you don't forgive us, we will be big losers."
(24) God said, "Go down as enemies to each other. You'll live on Earth for a while and enjoy it."
(25) He added, "That's where you'll live, that's where you'll pass away, and from there you'll be brought back to life."
(26) O Children of Adam! We've given you clothes to wear to cover up and look good. But the best kind of clothing is being good and kind. It's one of God's signs; maybe you'll take it to heart.
(27) O Children of Adam! Don't let the sneaky Satan trick you like he did with your ancestors, getting them kicked out of paradise and making them realize they were naked. He's always watching you and his crew, but you cannot see them. We've made devils friends with those who don't believe.
(28) When they do something wrong, they blame it on their parents and say, "We saw them do it, and God told us to do it too!" Tell them, "God doesn't command bad stuff. Are you making things up about God?"
(29) Say, "My Lord tells us to be fair and to be devoted to Him at every place of worship. So, pray to Him with a sincere heart. Just like He made you the first time, you'll return to Him."
(30) Some people follow God's guidance, while others choose to be led astray. They make the devils their masters instead of God and think they're on the Right Path.
(31) O Children of Adam! Dress appropriately when you go to worship places, eat, and drink, but don't be wasteful. God doesn't like it when you're wasteful.
(32) Say, “Who has said that the nice things and good stuff God has given His followers are not allowed?” Say, “These are meant for the believers' enjoyment in this life, but they'll be exclusively theirs on Judgment Day. This is how We make Our messages clear for those who understand.”
(33) Say, "My Lord has only told us not to do bad things openly or in secret, to avoid being sinful, to be fair and not harm others, and never to worship anyone else alongside God. God has never allowed that, and don't say things about God without knowing for sure."
(34) Every nation has its time. Once it's their turn, they can't postpone it for one hour or make it come sooner.
(35) O Children of Adam! When messengers from your community share God's messages with you, you won't have to worry or feel sad if you avoid doing bad things and try to improve.
(36) But those who reject Our revelations and act all proud about it will have a tough time ahead in the fire, and it won't end.
(37) So, who's worse than someone who makes up stories about God or rejects His revelations? They will get what's meant for them until Our messenger angels come to take their souls, asking, "Where are those other gods you used to pray to instead of God?" They'll admit, "They let us down," and confess they were not believers.
(38) God will say, "Enter the Fire with the people from before you, both jinn and humans." Whenever a group goes in, they start cursing the other group until they are all inside. The last group will say to the first group, "Our Lord, those guys misled us, so make their punishment twice as bad!" God will reply, "Everyone gets what they deserve, but you don't know."
(39) The first group will then say to the last group, "You didn't do us any favors, so now you'll feel the punishment for what you did."
(40) Those who reject God's revelations and act all high and mighty, the gates of Heaven won't open for them, and they won't enter Paradise, no matter how hard they try. It's as tough as trying to make a camel squeeze through the eye of a needle. That's how We deal with the bad guys.
(41) They'll have a fire bed in Hell, with burning flames above them. That's what they get for being wrongdoers.
(42) But for those who believe and do good things, God won't give them more than they can handle. They're the ones who'll live in Paradise forever.
(43) We will remove any bitterness in their hearts. Rivers will flow underneath them. They'll say, "Thank God for showing us the way. Without You, we'd be lost. Your messengers brought us the truth." And they'll be told, "This is Paradise, your reward for what you used to do."
(44) People in Paradise will talk to those in the Fire, saying, "We got what our Lord promised us. Did you get what your Lord promised you?" They replied, "Yes." Then, someone from among them declared, "God's curse is on the wrongdoers.
(45) Those who lead others away from the Right Path of God and try to twist it are disbelievers in the Hereafter."
(46) There's a barrier between them, and there are people who can tell who's who on the hills. They'll greet the folks from Paradise with "Peace be upon you," even though they haven't entered it yet, but they're hoping to.
(47) When they look towards the people in the Fire, they'll say, "Our Lord, please don't put us with the wrongdoers."
(48) The people on the hills will call out to others they recognize and say, "Your get-togethers and your pride didn't help you at all.
(49) Are these the ones you thought God would never show mercy to?" They will be told, "Enter Paradise; you have nothing to worry about, and you won't be sad."
(50) The people in the Fire will ask those in Paradise, "Give us some water or something God gave you." They'll say, "God has made those things forbidden for disbelievers.
(51) Those who made a joke out of their religion and let the worldly life fool them." Allah will say, "Today they will be forgotten, just as they forgot about this Day and rejected God's revelations."
(52) And We gave them this special Book that We explained clearly, filled with wisdom, to guide and show mercy to those who believe.
(53) Are they waiting for its promises to come true? When that Day arrives, the ones who forgot it will say, "The messengers of our Lord told the truth. Can they help us now? Can we get another chance to do things differently?" They'll realize they've messed up, and their lies won't save them.
(54) Indeed, your Lord is Allah, the One Who made the heavens and the earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne. The night overlaps the day quickly, one after the other. He controls the sun, the moon, and the stars obey His commands. God is the Creator and Ruler of all. Blessed is He, the Lord of all there is.
(55) Pray to your Lord with humility and in private. He doesn't like it when people break the rules.
(56) After everything has been set right, don't cause trouble on Earth. Pray to Him with both fear and hope because God's Mercy is always near for those who do good.
(57) He sends the winds as a sign of His mercy, showing good things to come, and when they bring heavy rain clouds, We lead them to dry lands and make it rain. Then We bring out all sorts of fruits. That's how We bring the dead back to life. You can learn something from this.
(58) The good land will produce healthy plants with the permission of its Lord. But the bad land does not give much. This is how We explain things differently for those who are grateful.
(59) We sent Noah to his people, and he told them, "O my people! Worship God; You have no other god except Him. I'm seriously worried about a terrible punishment coming your way."
(60) Some important folks in his community said, "You're misguided; we can see it."
(61) Noah replied, "O my people. I'm not misguided. I'm a messenger from the Lord of everything.
(62) I'm just passing on messages from my Lord, giving you advice, and I know things from God that you don't.
(63) Are you surprised that a reminder from your Lord is coming through a regular guy like you to warn you and help you stay away from bad stuff so you can get some mercy?"
(64) But they didn't listen to him, so We saved Noah and those with him in the Ark, and We drowned the people who didn't believe in Our signs. They were truly pretty blind!
(65) Then, Hud was sent to the people of A'ad. He told them, "O my people. Worship God; You have no other god except Him. Aren't you scared?"
(66) The leaders among his people who didn't believe said, "You're acting crazy, and we think you're just making stuff up."
(67) He said, "O my people. I'm not being crazy. I'm just a messenger from the Lord of everything.
(68) I'm here to share the important messages from my Lord, and I'm here to give you trustworthy advice.
(69) Are you surprised that a reminder from your Lord has come through a guy just like you, warning you? And don't forget how God made you the inheritors after the people of Noah and made you grow in numbers. So, remember God's blessings to find success."
(70) They replied, "Did you come just to tell us to worship only God and stop following what our ancestors believed? Then show us what you're warning us about if you're telling the truth."
(71) He responded, "Impurity and anger from your Lord have already come upon you. Are you arguing with me about names that you and your ancestors made up without any proof from God? Well, go ahead, and I'll wait with you too."
(72) So, We saved him and his followers by showing them mercy and wiped out those who rejected Our messages and didn't believe.
(73) Then there was Thamud and their brethren Salih. He said, "O my people! Worship God. You have no other god except Him. You've got a clear sign from your Lord - a special she-camel from God. Let her graze on God's land, and don't harm her, or you'll face a painful punishment."
(74) Remember how after the people of A'ad, God blessed you by letting you settle in this land. You built homes on the plains and carved houses into the mountains. Remember God's blessings, and don't ruin the earth with your actions.
(75) The leaders of his community asked the people who believed in him, "Do you think God has sent Salih?" They answered, "Absolutely! We believe in what he's been sent with."
(76) The proud leaders then declared, "We don't believe in what you believe."
(77) Then, they killed the she-camel, disobeying God's command, and challenged Salih to show them the punishment he warned about.
(78) As a result, an earthquake struck, and they were found lifeless in their homes while bowing down.
(79) Salih turned away from them, saying, "I delivered God's message and gave you advice, but you don't like being advised."
(80) And Lot once asked his people, "Are you engaging in homosexuality when no one before you, in all the world, has done this?"
(81) You are pursuing men with desire instead of women, and it is going way too far."
(82) But his people's only response was to say, "Kick them out of your place! They want to stay pure and modest!"
(83) Then We saved him and his family, except for his wife, who chose to stay behind in the trouble.
(84) So, We sent a heavy rain of stones upon them. Look at how it ended for the wrongdoers.
(85) And to the people of Midian, their brother Shua'ib came. He told them, "O my people! Worship God. You have no other god except Him. You've received clear proof from your Lord. Be fair when measuring and weighing things; don't cheat people or mess up the land after it's been fixed. This is better for you if you believe.
(86) Don't block the roads, threaten, or mislead the believers away from God's Way. Remember when you were few and then you grew? See what happens to troublemakers.
(87) And if some of you believe in what I've brought and some don't, be patient until God decides between us. He's the Best Judge."
(88) The proud leaders of his people said, "Shua'ib, we'll kick you and your followers out of our town unless you come back to our beliefs." Shua'ib replied, "Even if we don't like it?
(89) We would be lying about God if we returned to your beliefs after He saved us from them. We can only return if God, our Lord, allows it. Our trust is in God. Our Lord, make a fair judgment between us and our people because You're the best at making decisions."
(90) Some of the leaders among Shua'ib's people, who didn't believe in him, said, "If you follow Shua'ib, you'll end up losing everything."
(91) Then a powerful earthquake struck, and they were found dead, lying down in their houses.
(92) Those who didn't believe in Shua'ib as if they never lived there. They were the real losers.
(93) Shua'ib turned away and said, "O my people. Indeed, I've shared my Lord's messages with you and given you advice. So, I won't be sad about people who choose not to believe."
(94) And whenever We sent a prophet to a city, the people faced tough times and hardships so that they would turn to God in humility.
(95) Then God turned their tough times into good times until they did well and falsely claimed, "Our ancestors also faced tough and good times." So, suddenly, God caught them off guard when they least expected it.
(96) If the people in those cities had believed in God and been good, We would've showered them with blessings from the sky and the earth. But they chose not to believe, so they got what they deserved.
(97) Did the people in those cities think they were safe from Our punishment while they slept at night?
(98) Did the people in those cities ever think they could escape Our punishment while fooling around during the day?
(99) Did they believe they could outsmart God's plan? Only those who reject faith think they can do that.
(100) Haven't those who took over the land from its previous inhabitants ever realized that if God wanted, He could punish them for their wrongdoing? He can even make their hearts stubborn so they can't see the truth.
(101) We tell you about those cities. Their messengers came to them with clear signs, but the people still wouldn't believe what they had already denied. God sealed the hearts of those who refused to believe.
(102) Most of them didn't keep their promises, and they were disobedient.
(103) Then God sent Moses to Pharaoh and his leaders with incredible miracles, but they rejected them unfairly. See what happened to those who went against God.
(104) Moses told Pharaoh, "I'm a messenger from the Lord of the Universe.
(105) I can't say anything but the truth about God. Indeed, I've brought you clear proof. Let the Children of Israel go with me."
(106) Pharaoh challenged him, saying, "If you have a miracle, show it to prove your truth."
(107) So, Moses threw down his staff, and it turned into a huge, obvious snake.
(108) And he extended his hand, then it shone brightly for everyone to see.
(109) The leaders of Pharaoh's people remarked, "Indeed, this guy is a real magician!
(110) He wants to kick you out of your land. What should we do?"
(111) They decided, "Let's give him more time and his brother and send messengers to the cities.
(112) Get all the best magicians to come to us."
(113) The magicians went to Pharaoh and said, "We want a prize if we win."
(114) Pharaoh agreed, saying, "Sure, you'll be among my favorites."
(115) The magicians challenged Moses, "O Moses, either you throw your staff first, or we'll do it first."
(116) Moses replied, "You go ahead!" When they threw their staffs, it looked like they were creating a magical illusion, which scared the people, and they thought it was impressive.
(117) Then, God told Moses, "Now, throw your staff." As soon as he did, it devoured their fake magic.
(118) The truth was revealed, exposing their tricks as worthless.
(119) They were defeated and humiliated.
(120) And the magicians fell prostrate in worship.
(121) They declared, "We believe in the Lord of all creation.
(122) The Lord of Moses and Aaron."
(123) Pharaoh said, "You believed in him before I gave you permission? It seems like you hatched a plan in the city to kick its people out. You're in for a surprise.
(124) I'll severely punish you for this. Your hands and feet will be cut off in opposite directions, and then I'll make an example out of you."
(125) They responded, "We'll turn to our Lord.
(126) You're upset because we believed in the miracles of our Lord when they were shown to us. Our Lord! Grant us patience and let us die submissive to You."
(127) The leaders of Pharaoh's people questioned, "Are you going to let Moses and his people cause chaos and abandon you and your gods?" Pharaoh replied, "We'll kill their sons and keep their women to serve us. We have the upper hand."
(128) Moses advised his people, "Turn to God for help and be patient. Indeed, the earth belongs to God, who chooses who inherits it among His faithful servants. The best outcome is for the righteous."
(129) They said, "We suffered before and after you came to us." Moses said, "Perhaps your Lord will deal with your enemies and make you leaders in the land to see how you behave."
(130) And We caused a food shortage for Pharaoh's people to make them realize their mistakes and change their ways.
(131) But when good things came their way, they claimed it as their success. And when bad things happened, they blamed Moses and his people for bringing them bad luck. Their destiny is with God, but most are unaware.
(132) They said, "No matter what magical tricks you show us, we won't believe you."
(133) So, We sent against them various signs like floods, swarms of locusts, annoying lice, hopping frogs, and rivers turning to blood to show them signs, but they stayed stubborn and did terrible things.
(134) Then, when all these bad things happened to them, they begged Moses, "O Moses, ask your God to stop this, and we promise we'll believe in you, and we'll let the Children of Israel go with you."
(135) But as soon as We removed their trouble, and they got what they wanted, they broke their promise.
(136) We got back at them by drowning them in the sea because they kept ignoring the signs We showed them and didn't pay attention.
(137) So, We made the oppressed people the new leaders of the eastern and western lands, which He had filled with blessings. Your Lord's promise to the children of Israel was fulfilled because they were patient, and We destroyed what Pharaoh and his people were building.
(138) We helped the Children of Israel cross the sea, and they ran into some folks who worshipped idols. They asked Moses, "Make a god for us like they have gods." Moses said, "Certainly, you guys don't get it.
(139) Those people's worship will fail, and what they did is not worth it."
(140) Moses said, "Why would I want you to have another god besides the One Who has blessed you above everyone in the world?"
(141) And remember when God saved you from the people of Pharaoh, who caused you great suffering by killing your sons and keeping your women. That was a tough test from your Lord.
(142) We made an appointment with Moses for thirty nights, but We turned it into forty. Moses told his brother, Aaron, "Take care of my people, do what's right, and don't get mixed up with the bad crowd."
(143) And when Moses went to meet God at the appointed time, and God spoke to him, he asked, "God, can I see you?" God said, "You can't see Me, but look at the mountain. If it stays in one piece, then you'll see Me." Then, when God showed His power to the mountain, it crumbled, and Moses fainted. When he woke up, he said, "Glory be to You. I turn to You, and I'm the first believer."
(144) God said, "O Moses, I've given you a lot of special messages and words. So, take what I've given you, and be one of the grateful ones."
(145) We gave him clear instructions on tablets, explaining everything, and said, "Hold onto these firmly and tell your people to follow the best advice in them. I'll show you where the disobedient will end up."
(146) I'll turn away those on earth who act arrogant without reason. When they see a sign, they won't believe it. When they see the Right Path, they won't take it, but when they see the wrong one, they follow it. It's because they rejected Our revelations and ignored them.
(147) People who reject Our revelations and the afterlife, their actions mean nothing. Do they expect a reward other than what they've earned?
(148) After Moses left, his people made a calf idol out of their jewelry that made a lowing sound. Did they not realize it couldn't talk to or show them the Right Way? Yet, they treated it like a god and did wrong things.
(149) Later, they realized their mistake and felt sorry, saying, "If our Lord doesn't show us mercy and forgive us, we'll be big-time losers."
(150) When Moses returned, he was furious and upset. He said, "You did something terrible in my absence. Did you rush away from following your Lord's guidance?" He dropped the tablets and grabbed his brother by his hair. His brother said, "O my brother! The people overpowered me, and they were going to kill me. So, don't embarrass me or let my enemies be happy, and don't think I'm one of the wrongdoers."
(151) Moses prayed, "Lord, forgive me and my brother, and let us into Your mercy. You are the Most Merciful of all."
(152) Those who worshiped the calf will face God's anger and humiliation in this life. This is how We deal with those who create new beliefs.
(153) But those who sin, repent and believe, your Lord is Forgiving and Merciful.
(154) When Moses calmed down, he picked up the tablets. They hold guidance and mercy for those who fear God.
(155) Moses selected seventy men from his people for a special meeting with Us. Suddenly, they were taken by an earthquake, and Moses prayed, "God, if You wanted, You could have wiped them out long ago, including me. Are You punishing all of us because of what the foolish ones among us have done? This is a test from You, where You let some go the wrong way and guide others. You're our Protector, so please forgive us and show us mercy. You're the best at forgiving.
(156) Please guide us to what's right in this life and the next. Indeed, we're turning to You." God replied, "My punishment is for those who deserve it, but My Mercy is for everyone. I'll reward those who fear Me, give to needy people, and believe in My revelations.
(157) They are the ones who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet who couldn't read or write, and they find his description in their Torah and the Gospel. He tells them to do good things and stay away from bad things. He allows what is okay for them, forbids what is not good, and frees them from their troubles and the things that tie them down. Only those who believe in him, respect and support him, and follow the guidance sent to him will be the winners."
(158) Say, "O people! I'm God's Messenger for all of you. He's the Owner of the heavens and the earth. There's only One God Who gives life and takes it away. So, believe in God and His Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, who believes in God and His words. Follow him for guidance."
(159) And among the followers of Moses, there's a group who lead with truth and do justice.
(160) We divided them into twelve tribes, like communities. When they asked Moses for water, We said, "Strike the rock with your staff," and twelve springs burst out. We also shaded them with clouds and sent them Manna and quails. They didn't wrong Us, but they wronged themselves.
(161) And remember when it was said to them, "Go into this city and eat from the food wherever you want. Just say, 'Forgive our sins,' and enter the gate humbly. We will forgive your sins, and your good deeds will be rewarded even more."
(162) But the wrongdoers changed the words they were supposed to say. Because of their wrongdoing, God sent down a punishment from the heavens on them.
(163) Ask them, O Prophet, about the town by the sea where people broke the Sabbath. On the Sabbath, many fish would come to them, but on other days, they wouldn't see any fish. We did this to test them because of their disobedience.
(164) Some of them wondered, "Why are you advising people God will destroy or punish severely?" They answered, "We do it to avoid blame from our Lord, and maybe they'll stop doing wrong."
(165) Then, when they didn't listen to the warning, We saved those who spoke out against bad things and punished the wrongdoers severely for their disobedience.
(166) Then, when they continued to disobey, We turned them into despised apes.
(167) And remember, O Prophet, when God announced that He would send against them people who will make them suffer until Judgment Day. Indeed, your God is quick in punishment but is also Forgiving and Merciful.
(168) And We scattered them across the earth, some good, some not so much. He tested them with blessings and challenges, hoping they'd turn to Him.
(169) Then, a new generation after them inherited the Scripture but got caught up in worldly desires. They said they'd be forgiven, but they still chased after material things and took bribes. Weren't they supposed only to speak the truth about God and study His teachings? The afterlife is better for those who fear God, so think about it.
(170) For those who hold firmly onto the Scripture and pray regularly, We will reward them for doing what is right.
(171) And think about when We lifted a mountain over them like a cloud, and they were scared it would fall on them. We said, "Stick to the teachings I gave you and observe its teachings so you can become more aware of God."
(172) And remember when your Lord summoned the children of Adam. He made them promise something important about recognizing Him as their Lord. God asked, "Am I not your Lord?" They said, "Yes. You are! We testify." God reminded them, "So on Judgment Day, you can't say, 'We didn't know about this.'”
(173) Or you say, "Our ancestors worshiped other gods, and we follow their example. Are you going to punish us for their made-up beliefs?"
(174) This is how God explains everything in detail so that they can understand and return to Him.
(175) And tell them about the person who received clear signs from God, but he chose to ignore them. Satan misled him, and he became lost.
(176) If We wanted, We could have elevated this person with Our signs, but he was too into worldly pleasures and doing wrong things. Imagine it like a dog: when you try to shoo it away, it pants, and even if you let it be, it keeps panting. That's how people who ignore God's signs are. So, tell them stories from the past. Maybe it'll make them think.
(177) The people who reject God's signs and wrong themselves are in a worse situation.
(178) Those God guides are on the Right Path, but those He leads astray are the real losers.
(179) Certainly! Many people, both humans and jinn, are destined to be in Hell. They have hearts they don't understand with, eyes they don't see with, and ears they don't hear with. They're like animals or even more lost! They're clueless.
(180) God has the Most Beautiful Names, so call on Him using these Names. Stay away from those who twist His Names. They'll get what's coming to them for their actions.
(181) Among the people God created, some are good at guiding others with truth and fairness.
(182) But for those who do not believe God's messages, We'll slowly lead them towards harm in ways they won't understand.
(183) I postpone their time a bit, but My plans are perfect.
(184) Haven't they noticed that their companion, Muhammad, isn't crazy? He's just a clear messenger, warning everyone.
(185) Look at the amazing world God made, the sky, the earth, and all living things. And maybe their end is coming? So, what message from God will they believe in after this Quran?
(186) If God leads someone in the wrong direction, they won't have anyone to guide them, and they'll keep making mistakes without understanding what they're doing.
(187) People often ask you, "When will the Hour be?" Tell them, "Only my Lord knows the exact time. He'll let everyone know when it's time. It's something huge even for the heavens and the earth, and it will come when you least expect it." They ask you like you have all the answers. Say, "Only God knows, but most people don't realize that."
(188) Say, "I can't help or keep myself safe without God's plan. If I knew everything, I could have improved my life, and nothing bad would have ever happened to me. I'm here to warn and share good news with those who believe in God."
(189) He is the One Who created you from one person and then made from it a spouse so he can find comfort in her. When they united, she became pregnant with a light load that grew over time. When it became heavy, they prayed to God, saying, "If you give us good children, we will surely be thankful."
(190) But when God blessed their descendants with good children, they started worshipping others besides God. God is way greater than what they think or believe.
(191) Why do they worship things that can't create anything when they, themselves, were created?
(192) These things they worship can't help them or even help themselves.
(193) And when you try to guide them, they won't listen, whether you speak or stay silent. It's the same to them.
(194) Those you pray to instead of God are like servants, just like you. So go ahead, call upon them, and see if they'll answer you if you're telling the truth.
(195) Do these so-called gods have feet to walk with? Do they have hands to strike with? Do they have eyes to see with? Do they have ears to listen with? Tell them, "Go ahead, call your partners, and make a plan against me, don't hesitate.
(196) Indeed, my Protector is the One Who sent down the Book, and He looks out for the righteous."
(197) The ones you call on besides Him can't help you, and they can't even help themselves.
(198) And when you call them for guidance, they can't hear you. You can see them, but they can't see you.
(199) Be kind, encourage what's good, and avoid people who act foolishly.
(200) If you ever get a wrong thought from Satan, turn to God for protection. He hears and knows everything.
(201) Indeed, those who fear God, when a bad idea from Satan crosses their minds, remember God and snap out of it.
(202) But their friends might lead them astray, and they won't stop.
(203) If you, O Prophet, don't show them the proof they asked for, they might say, "Why don't you just make one up?" Tell them, "I only follow what God reveals to me. This Quran is wisdom from God, a guide, and a mercy for those who believe."
(204) If you hear the Quran being recited, pay attention and listen carefully to receive God's mercy.
(205) Remember your Lord with humility and fear in your heart, silently in the morning and evening, and don't be careless.
(206) Those angles close to your Lord aren't too proud to worship Him. They praise Him and bow down to Him.
