In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
(1) When the Unavoidable Event takes place.
(2) Nobody will deny that it's real.
(3) Some folks will be rewarded highly, while others will be put down.
(4) The ground will shake violently.
(5) Mountains will crumble into bits.
(6) It'll all look like dust flying around.
(7) And you'll be split into three groups:
(8) Those on the Right. How blessed are those on the Right?
(9) Those on the Left. How miserable are those on the Left?
(10) Those who race to do good deeds will be the foremost in the Hereafter.
(11) Those are the ones closest to God.
(12) In the Gardens of Bliss.
(13) Many good people from the past will be there.
(14) Some good people from the future, too.
(15) They'll lounge on fancy, gold-embroidered thrones,
(16) Reclining face to face.
(17) Forever young people will circulate them.
(18) With cups, jugs, and glasses of pure spring drink.
(19) They won't get headaches or get drunk.
(20) They can have any fruits they want.
(21) And delicious bird meat, whatever they crave.
(22) And they'll have spouses with stunning eyes.
(23) Just like hidden pearls.
(24) It's a reward for all the good they did.
(25) No bad stuff to hear or sins to earn.
(26) Just peaceful greetings and sweet talk.
(27) And people on the Right, how blessed are those on the Right?
(28) They'll be hanging out under trees with no thorns,
(29) And loads of bananas in clusters,
(30) Shady spots to rest under,
(31) With streams of water that never stop flowing,
(32) And tons of fruits.
(33) Always available, always allowed.
(34) Beds will be comfy and raised high.
(35) And indeed, their spouses will be exactly right,
(36) We made them virgins,
(37) Loving and of the same age.
(38) For those on the Right.
(39) Many good folks from the past will be there.
(40) And plenty from the future, too.
(41) Now, those on the Left. How miserable will they be?
(42) They'll be in a hot, fiery wind with boiling water.
(43) And stuck in dark, nasty smoke.
(44) It's not cool or pleasant at all.
(45) They lived a spoiled life in luxury before, but now it's different.
(46) They used to insist on doing the great sin.
(47) They asked, "When we die and become dust and bones, will we come back to life?
(48) What about our ancestors from long ago?"
(49) Say, “Yes, everyone, from the past and the future,
(50) will surely gather on an appointed Day we all know about.
(51) Then, indeed, you misguided liars.
(52) You will be eating bitter fruits from the tree of Zaqqum.
(53) You'll stuff your bellies, but it won't be great,
(54) Drinking hot water on top of that,
(55) You will drink like thirsty camels.”
(56) You'll get this when the Day of Judgment arrives.
(57) Remember! We created you. So, will you not believe?
(58) Think about what you release when you ejaculate.
(59) Is it you who creates a child out of it, or are We the Creator?
(60) We have decided that everyone will experience death, and there's nothing anyone can do to avoid it.
(61) God can replace you with something new,
(62) You already know how you were first created. So, shouldn't you think about it?
(63) Ever wondered about the seeds you're planting?
(64) Do you make it grow, or is it We Who do so?
(65) If We wanted, We could quickly turn this harvest into worthless stuff, making you feel sad about it and say,
(66) “We've suffered a significant loss.
(67) No, but we're indeed deprived!"
(68) Think about the water you drink with care,
(69) Did you bring it down from the sky, or are We Who do so?
(70) If We wanted, We could make it salty. Will you not be thankful?
(71) Think about the fire you light at night.
(72) Did you make its tree, or is it We Who do so?
(73) We made it to remind people about Hell and to provide for travelers.
(74) So praise your Lord, the Great, with all your might.
(75) I swear by the stars' positions in the sky.
(76) It is indeed a significant oath if only you knew.
(77) This Quran is indeed noble,
(78) It's in a well-preserved Record.
(79) Only the pure can touch it,
(80) A revelation sent down by the Lord of the Worlds.
(81) So, do you not believe in this message?
(82) Do you refuse to thank Him for what He's given you?
(83) Then why do you feel powerless when someone is about to pass away?
(84) While you watch this happen,
(85) We are even closer to them, but you can't see.
(86) If there are no consequences for your actions,
(87) Then try bringing the soul back if you're telling the truth.
(88) So, if the person who passed away was one of those close to God,
(89) They will be in a beautiful place with lovely flowers and a happy Garden.
(90) If they are from the people of the Right,
(91) They'll hear "Peace be upon you" from others like them.
(92) But if they don't believe and are lost,
(93) They'll experience hot, boiling water.
(94) And a scorching fire of Hell.
(95) This is a sure thing, no doubt about it.
(96) So, glorify the Name of your Lord, the Greatest One!
