In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

(1) The Hour is getting closer, and the moon has split apart!

(2) But when they see something amazing, they ignore it and call it magic tricks.

(3) They don't listen and follow their desires, but remember, everything will come to an end.

(4) Stories about nations that messed up and were destroyed have been told to them to make them stop and think.

(5) There's some profound wisdom in this, but these warnings don't do much for them.

(6) So, ignore them and be patient. One Day, when the Caller announces something scary...

(7) People will rise from their graves looking embarrassed, like a swarm of locusts.

(8) They'll rush toward the Caller, and the non-believers will say, "This is a difficult Day!"

(9) Even when Noah was around, people didn't believe. They thought Our servant was crazy, and they scolded him.

(10) Noah prayed to his Lord, "I'm helpless; please help me out."

(11) So We opened the sky, and the rain poured down very hard.

(12) Springs burst from the earth, and all that water came together just like it was meant to.

(13) We carried him on an Ark of planks and nails.

(14) He sailed on it right before Our Eyes, a reward for the rejected one.

(15) And We left it as a sign. So, is there anyone willing to pay attention?

(16) So, how were My punishments and warnings?

(17) We made the Quran easy to remember. So, is there anyone willing to be mindful?

(18) A'ad didn't believe in the truth either. So, how were My punishments and warnings?

(19) We sent a super strong and freezing wind on them during a terrible day.

(20) It was like uprooting palm tree trunks and taking people away.

(21) So, how were My punishments and warnings?

(22) We made the Quran easy to remember. So, is there anyone willing to pay attention?

(23) Thamud also ignored the warnings.

(24) They said, "Why should we follow a regular person from among us? We would then, indeed, be misguided and insane.

(25) Did the message come to him instead of all of us? He's just a big liar!"

(26) They'll find out who the liar is soon.

(27) We sent a she-camel as a test. Watch and be patient.

(28) Tell them that the water is to be shared between them and the camel, each getting their fair share.

(29) But they called a friend of theirs, and he dared to kill her.

(30) So, how were My punishments and warnings?

(31) We sent one mighty blast against them and left them like crushed straw.

(32) And We made the Quran easy to remember. So, is there anyone willing to be mindful?

(33) The people of Lot also ignored the warnings.

(34) We sent a rain of stones upon them, but Lot's family was spared. We saved them in the morning.

(35) It was a mercy from Us. This is how We reward those who are grateful.

(36) Lot had warned them about Our punishment, but they argued with him.

(37) They even demanded Lot's angelic guests when they visited him. So, We blinded their eyes and said, "Now taste My punishment and warnings!"

(38) And indeed, by the early morning, they were trapped in an endless torment.

(39) We said again, “Taste My punishment and warnings!”

(40) And We've made the Quran easy to remember. Can anyone take it to heart?

(41) Warnings were given to Pharaoh's people, for sure.

(42) They ignored all the signs, so We seized them with Our mighty power.

(43) Do the Meccan nonbelievers think they're better than those destroyed? Or do they think they're safe from punishment because it is written in heavenly books?

(44) Or do they say, "We're a strong team, and nothing can beat us"?

(45) But in the end, they'll be defeated and run away.

(46) The Hour is their set time; it will be even more terrible and painful when it arrives.

(47) Indeed, the wicked are lost and headed for the punishment of the Fire.

(48) When thrown into the Fire face-first, they will be told, “Taste the burning of Saqar.”

(49) Indeed, We created everything with precision.

(50) Our command is swift, like a blink of an eye.

(51) We've destroyed people like them before. Does anyone think about that?

(52) Everything they've done is written in their records.

(53) Every little and big thing is recorded.

(54) Indeed, the God-fearing people will be in Gardens and by rivers.

(55) They'll have an Honored Seat in the presence of the Most Powerful King.
