In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
(1) We have given you a clear victory, O Prophet!
(2) So that God forgives your mistakes from the past and in the future, blesses you more, and shows you the Straight Path to follow.
(3) And so, God will give you immense help.
(4) He is the One Who brings peace to the hearts of believers, helping them grow stronger in their faith. All forces of the heavens and the earth belong to God alone. God is All-Knowing, All-Wise.
(5) Thus, He welcomes faithful men and women into beautiful Gardens with flowing rivers underneath, where they will live eternally and find forgiveness for their mistakes. This is the ultimate success in God's sight.
(6) So, God punishes people who pretend to believe and those who worship different gods, whether they're men or women, and think bad things about God. They'll suffer! God is upset with them, and they're going to end up in Hell. It's the worst outcome!
(7) And all forces of the heavens and the earth belong to God alone. And God is All-Powerful, All-Wise.
(8) We've sent you, O Prophet, as a witness, messenger of good news, and to give warning, for sure.
(9) So that you, believers, may believe in God and His Messenger, show your support, respect Him, and praise God morning and night.
(10) Indeed, those who pledge their loyalty to the Prophet pledge it to God. It's like God’s Hand is over theirs. But those who break their promise are only hurting themselves. And whoever keeps his promise to God, He'll reward them big time.
(11) The desert-dwelling Arabs who didn't join the Prophet will tell you, "We were busy with our wealth and families, so ask God to forgive us." But they're just saying this with their mouths, not their hearts. Ask them, "Who will save you from God's plan, good or bad? God knows everything you do.
(12) You thought the Messenger and the believers wouldn't ever return to their families. That idea seemed good to you. But you ended up being doomed by thinking those evil thoughts about God."
(13) And whoever does not believe in God and His Messenger is in big trouble. We have prepared a blazing fire for them.
(14) God has all the power in the heavens and the earth. He forgives whoever He wants and punishes whoever He wants. God is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
(15) Those who stayed behind will ask to join you when you get war spoils. They want to twist God's words. Tell them, "You can't follow us. This is what God said earlier." Then they'll say, "You're just jealous!" But they don't get it.
(16) Tell the people who didn't join the fight, "You might have to fight strong folks unless they agree to peace. If you obey, God will reward you well. But if you refuse like before, He'll punish you badly."
(17) No blame for those who can't fight, like the blind, the lame, or the sick. And whoever obeys God and His Messenger, God will let them into Gardens with rivers flowing underneath. But whoever refuses, they'll face a painful punishment.
(18) God was indeed happy with the believers when they promised to support you, O Prophet, near the tree. He knew their true intentions, giving them peace of mind and helping them win a nearby battle.
(19) They got a lot of stuff from the war. God is All-Powerful, All-Wise.
(20) God promises you more stuff to take in the future, and He protects you from harm by others. It's a sign for the believers and guides you to the Straight Way.
(21) God promises you more spoils you can't take yet, but He can make it happen. He can do anything.
(22) If those who don't believe attack you, they'll run away, finding no help or protection.
(23) This is how God does things, and it's been like this for a long time. God's Way won't change, ever.
(24) After helping you win in the valley of 'Ḥudaibiyah' near Mecca, God kept the peace between you and others. God sees everything you do.
(25) These people didn't believe in you and stopped you from going to the Sacred Mosque. They also blocked the animals you wanted to sacrifice. If it weren't for the believing men and women you didn't know, you might have hurt them without meaning to. So, God lets into His mercy the people He likes. If they had split up, We would have punished the non-believers terribly.
(26) The people who didn't believe became too proud and acted foolish. But God made His Messenger and the believers calm and firm. He inspired them to stay strong in their faith because they were the right ones for it. God knows everything perfectly.
(27) Indeed, God made the Messenger's dream come true. He said, "With God's help, you'll safely enter the Sacred Mosque. Some of you will have your heads shaved, and some will have short hair without being scared. God knew things you didn't, so He granted you victory."
(28) God sent His Messenger to guide people with the truth, making it the most dominant religion. And God is enough as a Witness.
(29) Muhammad is God's chosen messenger. He and his friends stand firm against those who don't believe but are also kind to each other. You can see them praying and showing love for God. You can tell they've been praying by the look on their faces. This is what the Torah and the Gospel say about them. It's like a seed that grows, gets strong, stands tall, and makes farmers happy. This makes the disbelievers upset. God promises that those who believe and do good things will be forgiven and will receive a fantastic reward.
