In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

(1) Those who don't believe and stop others from following God's Way make wrong choices because He lets them stray from the Right Path.

(2) But those who believe, do good deeds, and have faith in what was revealed to Muhammad, which is the truth from their Lord, He will forgive their sins and make their worries less heavy.

(3) That is because those who don't believe are following false things, while those who do believe follow the truth from their Lord. This is how God gives people different examples to learn from.

(4) So, when you're in a battle with disbelievers, strike their necks until they surrender, and then either set them free as a sign of kindness or have them pay the price to get their freedom. God could have easily defeated them by Himself, but He's testing some of you through this process. And for those martyred, for God's sake, their efforts won't go to waste.

(5) God will guide, help, and improve their lives.

(6) He'll let them into the Paradise He set aside for them.

(7) O you who believe! If you stand up for God, He will support and firm your steps.

(8) But those who don't believe are in trouble. God will waste their good deeds.

(9) It's because they didn't like the messages that God revealed, so He canceled out their good deeds.

(10) Have they ever traveled around to see what happened to those who lived before? God wiped them out, and the same will happen to those who don't believe.

(11) It's like this because believers have God as their Guardian, but disbelievers don't have anyone to protect them.

(12) God will undoubtedly welcome those who believe and do good deeds into beautiful Gardens with rivers flowing underneath while disbelievers eat like animals and party. But in the end, they'll be in the Fire.

(13) Imagine, O Prophet, how many towns We have destroyed that was even stronger than the town that kicked you out. But no one came to their rescue!

(14) So, is a person who trusts in evidence from their Lord like someone who thinks their evil deeds are good? They follow their desires.

(15) Imagine the Paradise promised to the righteous: crystal-clear rivers, rivers of milk, rivers of tasty wine, and sweet honey flowing. Plus, all kinds of delicious fruits and forgiveness from their Lord. It's not like being forced to swallow boiling water while stuck in the Fire forever.

(16) Some folks listen to you, but once they're away, they ask the knowledgeable ones, "What did he just say?" These are the ones who follow their desires, and God has locked their hearts.

(17) Those who follow the Right Path get even more guidance, and He will bless them with goodness.

(18) Are they waiting for the Hour to suddenly show up? Some signs of it have already appeared. But how will they remember when it comes?

(19) So, remember there's only One God, and seek forgiveness for your mistakes. Also, ask forgiveness for the believing men and women. God knows where you go and where you rest.

(20) Some believers say, "We wish a chapter would come telling us to fight the non-believers." But when a surah like that is revealed, and it mentions fighting, you see those with troubled hearts looking like they're about to faint. It would have been better for them

(21) to listen and speak honestly. It would've been better if they stayed faithful to God when told to fight.

(22) If you guys pretending to be believers turn away, you might end up causing trouble on Earth and breaking your family ties!

(23) These are the people God has cursed and made blind and deaf.

(24) Don't they ever think about the messages in the Quran? Or do they have closed hearts?

(25) Indeed, for those who turned away when they saw the Right Path, Satan tempted and fooled them.

(26) This happened because they secretly told those who didn't like what God said, "We'll do what you want in some things." God knows their secret thoughts.

(27) What about when angels take them at death, beating their faces and backs?

(28) That's because they did things that upset God and disliked what pleased Him, so He nullified their actions.

(29) Do those with sickness in their hearts think that God won't reveal their hatred?

(30) If We wanted to, We could've shown you these special people, and you'd recognize them by their appearance. But you'll know them by the way they talk. God knows what you do.

(31) We'll test you to see who truly struggles for God's sake and who can be patient. We'll also see how you behave.

(32) Indeed, those who don't believe stop others from following God's Way and ignore the Messenger even when they know the truth won't harm God at all. God will cancel out their deeds.

(33) O you who believe! Listen to God and the Messenger, and don't waste your efforts.

(34) People who don't believe and block others from God's Way and then die without believing, God won't forgive them.

(35) Don't back down and seek peace when you have the upper hand. God is on your side and won't let your efforts go to waste.

(36) This life is like a game, all fun and amusement. If you believe and act righteously, God will reward you without asking for your money.

(37) If He did ask for your money and you refused, you'd end up unhappy.

(38) You're being asked to donate for God's sake. Some of you say no, but you're only hurting yourselves. God is rich, and you're the ones who need Him. If you refuse, He'll replace you with others different from you.
