In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
(1) Hha, Mim.
(2) This Book's message is from God, the Almighty, the Wise.
(3) In the heavens and the earth are proofs for those who believe.
(4) And in your creation and every living thing He scattered, are signs for those with sure faith.
(5) The changing of day and night, how rain from the sky feeds the earth and makes it alive again, and how the wind changes direction are all signs for those who understand.
(6) These are God's messages We're sharing with you in truth. What will they believe in if they reject God and His signs?
(7) Woe for those who lie and sin.
(8) They hear God's messages but act like they didn't. They'll get a painful punishment.
(9) When they hear about God's messages, they make fun of them. They'll be embarrassed.
(10) Hell is waiting for them. All the stuff they've gathered won't help them, and those things they've trusted instead of God won't protect them. They're in for a huge punishment.
(11) This Quran is true guidance. Those who reject their Lord's messages will suffer much.
(12) God made the sea so ships can sail through, and you can seek His blessings and be grateful.
(13) He made everything in the heavens and the earth. There are signs in that for those who think.
(14) Tell believers to forgive those who don't fear God's judgment so God can repay everyone.
(15) Good deeds benefit you, and evil deeds hurt your soul. In the end, you all return to your Lord.
(16) God gave the Children of Israel the Book, wisdom, and prophets and favored them over others.
(17) God gave them clear instructions for their faith, but they started arguing out of envy. On Judgment Day, God will settle their disputes.
(18) We have shown you the Right Path to believe in. So stick to it, and don't let others who aren't sure about the truth lead you astray.
(19) They can't help you against God in any way. Wrongdoers support each other, but God takes care of the good people.
(20) This Quran is a light, a guide, and a mercy for those who believe.
(21) Do evil people think they'll be treated the same as those who believe and do good in this life or the next? That's a bad judgment!
(22) God created the heavens and the earth for a purpose, so everyone gets what they deserve. No one will be mistreated.
(23) Have you seen someone who follows their desires? God let them go astray, closed their ears and hearts, and made them blind. Who can help them now? Think about it!
(24) And people argue, “There's only this life. We live, we die, and time is the only thing that can hurt us.” They don't know for sure; they're just guessing.
(25) When Our clear verses are recited to them, their only argument is to say, "Bring back our ancestors if you're telling the truth."
(26) Tell them, "God gives you life, then makes you die, and then He'll bring you back on Judgment Day. There's no doubt about it, even though most people don't know."
(27) To God belongs everything in the heavens and the earth. When the Day of Judgment comes, those who lie will be big losers.
(28) You'll see every group on its knees. Each group will be judged according to their actions. Today, you'll get what you earned.
(29) Our Book tells the truth about you. Indeed, We kept a record of what you did.
(30) People who believed and did good things will be shown mercy by their Lord. That's the most significant victory.
(31) But those who didn't believe will be asked, "Didn't you hear God's words? You were arrogant and sinful."
(32) When they're told, "God's promise is real, and the Hour is coming," you said, "We're not sure about that. We're just guessing, and we are not convinced."
(33) The bad things they did will be exposed, and they'll face the consequences they made fun of.
(34) They'll be told, "Today, We forget about you, just like you forgot about this day. Your place is the Fire, and you won't find any help."
(35) It's because you made fun of God's messages and were tempted by worldly things. Today, you won't get out of the Fire, and you won't be forgiven.
(36) All praise belongs to God, the Lord of everything in the heavens, the earth, and the universe.
(37) He has power and wisdom over everything in the heavens and the earth. He's the Majestic, the Wise.
