In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
(1) Hha, Mim.
(2) A'yn, Sin, Qawf.
(3) So, like those who came before you, God sent this revelation to you. He's the All-Powerful, the All-Wise.
(4) Everything in the heavens and the earth belongs to Him. He's the Most High, the Greatest.
(5) The heavens from above are about to burst open, and angels are praising God and asking for forgiveness for people on earth. God is indeed the All-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.
(6) God is still watching over Those who choose other guardians besides Him. You're not responsible for them.
(7) And so We revealed to you a Quran in Arabic to warn Mecca, the Mother of Cities and all the places nearby, and to warn about the Day of Gathering when some will be in Paradise and others in the Fire, no doubt about it.
(8) If God wanted, He could've made all people into one community to believe in Him. But He chooses to show mercy to those He wants. Wrongdoers won't have anyone to protect or help them.
(9) How can they look for other guardians when God is the Ultimate Protector? He's the One Who brings life to the dead and is Most Capable of doing anything.
(10) And whatever you disagree about, God will be the One to make the final decision. "That is my God, and I trust Him completely, always seeking His guidance."
(11) God is the Originator of the heavens and the earth. He made spouses for humans of their kind and also for animals so they could reproduce. God is unique. There is nothing like Him. He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing.
(12) God holds the keys to everything in the universe. He gives plenty to anyone He wants or limits it. Indeed, He is the All-Knowing.
(13) God told you believers to follow the same religion He told Noah to follow and what He revealed to you, O Prophet. He also gave these instructions to Abraham, Moses, and Jesus, saying, "Stick to this religion and don't break into groups." What you ask the polytheists to believe is too much for them. God chooses whoever He wants for Himself and guides whoever turns to Him.
(14) People only started dividing into groups after they had disagreements and knowledge among them. If it weren't for a prior decision from your Lord, they would have been judged by now. Those who were supposed to follow the Scripture after them have serious doubts about this Quran.
(15) O Prophet, invite people to this religion, and be fair, as you're commanded. Don't follow their desires, but say, "I believe in every Scripture from God, and I'm told to judge between you fairly. God is Our Lord and yours. We have our deeds, and you have yours. No need to argue. God will bring us together, and we'll all return to Him."
(16) Those who argue about God after many have accepted the Prophet's call have no valid argument with their Lord. They'll face God's anger and severe punishment.
(17) And it is God Who revealed the Book with the truth and justice. Who knows? Maybe the Hour is coming soon.
(18) The non-believers make fun of and wish the Hour would come sooner, but those who believe know it is the truth and are afraid. Those who doubt the Hour are definitely on the wrong path.
(19) God is always Kind to His servants. He shares His blessings with those He chooses. He's Super Strong and Powerful.
(20) Whoever wants rewards in the afterlife, We'll give him even more. But whoever cares about the stuff of this world, We will give him some, but nothing for the afterlife.
(21) Or do they follow other gods who made up rules that God disapproved of? If not for a previous decision by God, things would've been settled by now. Indeed, wrongdoers will face a painful punishment.
(22) On Judgment Day, you will see the bad guys terrified of their deeds, and they will face punishment. But those who believe and do good will enjoy the Paradise Gardens and get whatever they want from their Lord. That's a huge blessing.
(23) This is the good news for believers who do good. Say, “I don't want anything in return, just love for our family. When you do well, we'll make it even better. God is Forgiving and Appreciative.”
(24) Or do they say, “He has made up stories about God?” If God wanted, He could've closed your heart. But He gets rid of lies and confirms the truth with His words. He knows what's in the hearts.
(25) He accepts repentance from His servants, forgives sins, and knows everything you do.
(26) God rewards those who believe and do good things with His kindness, giving them even more blessings. But those who don't believe will face a harsh punishment.
(27) And if God were to give His servants more stuff, they would act irresponsibly and misbehave on earth, so He only gives what's needed. He knows everything and watches over His servants.
(28) God makes it rain when people lose hope, showing His love and care. He's the Protector, the Praiseworthy.
(29) Among God's excellent signs are the creation of the sky, the earth, and all the creatures in them. He can bring them all together if He wants.
(30) And when bad things happen to you, it's because of your actions. But He forgives much.
(31) And you can't challenge God on Earth, and there's no one to protect or help you but Him.
(32) Another sign is ships sailing the sea like colorful flags.
(33) If God wants, He can make ships stand still on the water by calming the wind. There are lessons here for those who are patient and thankful.
(34) He can destroy the ships because of the wrongs people do, but He forgives a lot.
(35) Those who keep arguing about Our signs will soon see that there's nowhere to escape.
(36) So, whatever fun stuff you enjoy in this world is just temporary. But what God has in store is way better and lasts forever for those who believe and trust in Him.
(37) Those who stay away from big sins and being mean, and when they get mad, they forgive people.
(38) Those who listen to God, pray, consult with each other, and give some of what they've got to help others.
(39) And those who stand up for themselves when mistreated.
(40) When someone does something terrible, they'll get the same in return. But if they forgive and try to be better, their reward is with God. He doesn't like wrongdoers.
(41) Whoever demands justice when mistreated is not to blame.
(42) The blame is on those who hurt others and break the rules of the land for no good reason. They'll suffer a painful punishment.
(43) And whoever stays strong when facing tough times and chooses to forgive others—this is indeed something worth aiming for.
(44) Anyone God lets go astray won't have anyone else to protect them. And when the wrongdoers see the punishment, they'll beg, "Is there any way to go back?"
(45) Imagine when you will see people being taken to the Fire, feeling embarrassed, scared, and sneaking looks at it. Those who believed in God will say, "The real losers are the ones who ruined themselves and their families on Judgment Day. The wrongdoers will be in trouble forever."
(46) These people won't have anyone to help them against God. If God leads someone in the wrong direction, there's no escape.
(47) Answer to God before a Day arrives that you can't escape from. When that Day comes, there won't be anywhere to hide or deny what you've done wrong.
(48) But if they ignore you, remember, you're not their guardian. Your job is to pass on the message. Indeed, when We show people a taste of Our mercy, people are happy, but when they suffer because of their actions, they are ungrateful.
(49) To God belongs the heavens and the earth. He creates whatever He chooses. He blesses some with daughters and others with sons.
(50) Or He blesses some people with both sons and daughters, and He chooses to make some unable to have children. Indeed, He knows everything and has the power to do anything.
(51) A human can't talk directly to God, except through inspiration, behind a veil, or by sending an angel to deliver whatever messages He wants, with His permission. He's undoubtedly the Most High, the All-Wise.
(52) And so, We've revealed to you this special message by Our command to share even though you were unaware of the Book or faith before. We've made it a guiding light for those We choose. And you are indeed guiding people to the Straight Path.
(53) The Path of God, Who owns everything in the heavens and the earth. Eventually, everything goes back to God, no matter what it is.
