In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
(1) The revelation of this Book is from God, the All-Powerful, the All-Wise.
(2) Indeed, We have sent you this Book, O Prophet, in truth. So, focus on worshipping God and being dedicated to Him.
(3) Indeed, genuine worship is meant for God alone. People who worship other gods, thinking it brings them closer to God, will be judged by God for their disagreements. God doesn't guide those who keep lying and refusing to believe.
(4) If God wished to have kids, He could have chosen anything from His creation. Glory be to Him! He's God—the One and the Most Powerful.
(5) God created the heavens and the earth for real. He wraps the night around the day and the day around the night. And He has subjected the sun and the moon, each orbiting for a specific time. He's truly the All-Powerful, the Most Forgiving.
(6) He created you from a single person and then created a mate for that person. He made four pairs of animals for your use. As you develop inside your mothers, it happens in stages, step by step, in three layers of darkness. Remember that God is your Lord, and all authority belongs to Him. There's no god worthy of worship except Him. So, why turn away?
(7) If you don't believe in God, remember that He doesn't depend on you and doesn't like it when people don't believe. But if you're grateful, God appreciates that. No one else can take the responsibility for what you do. In the end, you'll go back to your Lord, and He'll tell you about everything you've done. He knows what's hidden in your heart better than anyone.
(8) When people go through tough times, they cry out to God, seeking His help. Then, when God blesses them, they forget about their cries and start following others instead of God, misleading others from His Way. Say, "Enjoy your disbelief for a little while. You'll end up with the people in the Fire."
(9) Are they better or the ones who pray sincerely to God at night, bowing and standing in prayer, fearing what comes after this life and hoping for God's mercy? Say, “Are those who understand equal to those who don't? Only those with reason will think about this.”
(10) Say, God says, "O My servants! Always fear your Lord. If you do good things here, you'll get awesome rewards. God's world is big, and your rewards will be endless if you stay patient."
(11) Say, "I'm supposed to worship God and give all my faith to Him alone.
(12) I'm also told to be the first to follow and submit to God."
(13) Say, "I'm terrified that if I don't do what God says, I'll get punished on a tremendous Day."
(14) Tell them, "I worship God with all my heart.
(15) So, you can worship any gods you want, but remember, the real losers are those who'll lose themselves and their families on Judgment Day. That's indeed the most apparent loss!"
(16) There will be fire around them, as God warns His followers. "O My servants, be mindful of Me!"
(17) As for those who don't worship idols and turn to God, good things are coming their way. So, spread the good news to My servants!
(18) Those who listen to what is said and follow the best of it are on the Right Path guided by God. They're the smart ones.
(19) What about someone who deserves to be punished? Can you save those in the Fire?
(20) But those mindful of their Lord will have extraordinary mansions stacked on each other, with rivers flowing underneath. This is God's promise, and He never breaks a promise.
(21) Have you ever noticed when God sends rain from the sky, it turns into streams on the ground, and then colorful crops grow? But they eventually dry up and turn yellow. It's like a reminder for those who get it.
(22) So, can a person who embraced Islam and is enlightened by God be compared to someone who rejects it? So, woe to those with hard hearts who forget God! It is they who are on the wrong path.
(23) God has given the best message—a Book with clear and repeated lessons. It makes the hearts of those who fear God tremble, but their hearts and skin soften when they hear about God's mercy. This Book is God's guidance, and He guides those He chooses. But if God lets someone go astray, no one will guide them.
(24) So, is a person who faces punishment on Judgment Day better than someone in Paradise? And it will be said to the wrongdoers, “taste the results of your actions.”
(25) People in the past also rejected the truth and were punished unexpectedly.
(26) So, God made them experience shame in this world, but the punishment in the afterlife is even worse if they only knew.
(27) We have set many lessons in this Quran for people to learn from. Maybe they'll pay attention.
(28) This Quran is in clear Arabic and straightforward, with no confusing parts. Maybe they will think about God.
(29) God gives you an example of a person who works for many different bosses and another who works for just one boss. Are they the same? All praise be to God. But most people don't get it.
(30) You will pass away, and so will they.
(31) Then, on the Day when everyone comes back to life, you will argue in front of your Lord.
(32) So, who's worse than someone who lies about God and ignores the truth after it has come? Isn't there a place in Hell for people like that?
(33) But those who bring the truth and believe in it are the good ones.
(34) They'll get whatever they want from their Lord. That's the reward for those who do good.
(35) So, God will forgive them for the terrible mistakes they made and give them rewards based on the good things they used to do.
(36) Isn't God enough to help His servant? And they try to scare you with things they worship instead of God. But whoever God leads astray, he has no one to guide him.
(37) And whoever God shows the Way, no one can lead him astray. Is not God Almighty and can punish if needed?
(38) And if you ask them Who created the sky and the earth, they'd say, "God." Say, “But can those you pray to instead of God protect me if He wants to hurt me, or can they stop His blessings if He wants to bless me?” Say, “I trust God alone, and that's enough for me. The faithful should do the same.”
(39) Say, “O my people! Keep doing what you do, and I'll keep doing what I do.
(40) You'll see who gets punished and suffers eternal suffering in the end.”
(41) We've given you the Book with the truth for everyone. Whoever follows it, it's good for them. If they don't, it's their loss. And you are not in charge of their choices.
(42) God is the One Who takes people's souls when they pass away and when they're asleep. He decides when it's time for some to leave this world while others get to stay until their chosen time. This is a clear sign for those who think about life.
(43) Have they decided to go to someone other than God for help? Say, "Why would they do that when those idols don't have any power or brains?"
(44) All help comes from God. He owns the heavens and the earth. Everyone will go back to Him in the end.
(45) And when only God is mentioned, the hearts of those who don't believe in the afterlife get disgusted. But when they hear about other gods, they become happy.
(46) Say, "O Allah—Creator of everything, the One Who knows the hidden and the seen. You'll be the judge between Your servants regarding their differences."
(47) And even if the wrong people owned everything in the world twice as much. They'd desperately try to use it to escape the scary punishment on Judgment Day. But God will surprise them with something unexpected.
(48) All the evil things they did will be in their face, and they'll be surrounded by what they once made fun of.
(49) And when people face hard times, they turn to Us for help. But when We give them something good, they act like they know it all. But no! It's just a test; most don't get it.
(50) People in the past said the same stuff, but their actions didn't help them.
(51) Bad stuff happened to them because they did terrible things. And those who did wrong things will get what they deserve, and they can't stop it.
(52) Don't they know that God can give a lot or a little to anyone? There are signs in this for people who believe.
(53) God says, "O My servants who have wronged themselves, don't give up on God's mercy. God forgives all sins. He's indeed Most Forgiving and All-Merciful."
(54) Turn to your Lord and surrender to Him entirely before facing punishment. No one will help you then.
(55) And follow the best of what has been revealed to you from your Lord before you get a surprise punishment when you least expect it.
(56) So that no one says, "Oh no, I messed up with God, and I used to make fun of the truth."
(57) Or say, "If God had shown me the way, I'd be doing the right thing for sure."
(58) Or when they see the punishment, they say, "I wish I could try again and be good this time."
(59) No, that's not it. My messages were there for you, but you turned them down, acted all proud, and didn't believe.
(60) And on Judgment Day, you'll see folks who lied about God looking bad. Is there a spot in Hell for those who acted all high and mighty?
(61) And God will rescue those scared of Him to a safe place where nothing wrong happens to them, and they won't be sad.
(62) God created everything and takes care of everything.
(63) He controls the heavens and the earth. Those who don't believe in God's messages will miss out.
(64) O Prophet, say, “Are you telling me to worship someone other than God? O ignorant ones?”
(65) And it's been revealed to you and those before you that if you team up with others besides God, your good deeds won't count, and you'll end up as losers.
(66) Instead, worship God and be thankful.
(67) And they haven't given God the respect He deserves. On Judgment Day, the entire earth will be in His Grip, and the heavens will be rolled up in His Right Hand. He is far above anything they wrongly link to Him!
(68) The Trumpet will be blown, and everyone in the heavens and the earth will fall dead, except those whom God chooses. Then it will be blown again, and everyone will return to life, looking around.
(69) The earth will shine with its Lord's light. The records of what people did will be revealed, and the prophets and witnesses will be there for a fair judgment. No one will be mistreated.
(70) Everyone will be rewarded or punished based on their actions because God knows exactly what they did.
(71) Those who didn't believe in God will be led to Hell together. The gates will open when they arrive, and the guards will ask, "Didn't you have messengers from among yourselves who warned you about this Day and reciting your Lord's revelations?" They'll say, "Yes, but the punishment is now for the disbelievers."
(72) They will be told, "Enter Hell's gates forever." How terrible it is for those who were too proud!
(73) People who were afraid of God would be taken to Paradise in groups. When they get there, the gates will already be open. The guards will say to them, "Peace be upon you. You've done great, so come in forever."
(74) The faithful will say, "Praise be to God for keeping His promise to us and giving us this land to enjoy wherever we want. The reward for good people is awesome."
(75) And you'll see the Angels around God's Throne, praising their Lord. Everything will be fair, and it will be said, "Praise be to God, the Lord of everything."
