In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
(1) Praise be to God. Everything in the heavens and the earth belongs to Him. And praise be to Him in the Hereafter. He is the All-Wise, the All-Knowing.
(2) God knows everything that goes into the ground, everything that comes out of it, things that fall from the sky, and things that go up there. He's Most Merciful and All-Forgiving.
(3) Non-believers say, "The Hour won't happen to us." Tell them, "Yes, indeed, it will happen, I promise by my Lord. He is the Knower of the future and what we can't see. Not even the tiniest speck in the sky or on earth is hidden from His knowledge. He keeps a record of everything in a perfect Record."
(4) To reward those who believe and do good things. They will be forgiven and get great blessings.
(5) Those who try to prove God's messages wrong will face the harshest punishment and unbearable pain.
(6) Intelligent and wise people can see that what was revealed to you from your Lord is the truth. It guides to the Way of God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy.
(7) Non-believers joke with each other, saying, "Do you want to hear about a guy who says that after you die and turn to dust, you'll come back to life as a brand-new person?"
(8) Has he made a big lie about God, or is he just crazy? Those who don't believe in life after death are in trouble and are lost.
(9) Didn't they notice all the fantastic stuff around them, in the sky and the earth? If We want, We can make the ground crack under them, or pieces of the sky fall on them. That's a clear sign for every servant who turns to God.
(10) We gave David a big favor, saying, "O mountains and birds, sing along with David and praise Me!" And We made iron easy to shape for him.
(11) Instructing: “Make strong armor, measure everything carefully, and do good things! Indeed, I'm watching all you do."
(12) And to Solomon We subjected the wind, making it travel for him from sunrise to noon, a month's journey, and from noon till night, another month's journey. And We also made a river of molten copper flow for him, and some jinn worked for him by the permission of his Lord. Those who disobeyed God's commands faced the punishment of a blazing Fire.
(13) They built him sanctuaries, incredible statues, big basins like swimming pools, and cooking pots stuck in the ground, all just the way he wanted. We said, "O David's family! Work happily!" But only a few of My servants are appreciative.
(14) When Solomon's time to die came, the Jinn only discovered he was dead because termites had eaten his staff. It was a big shock for them, and they realized that if they knew everything about the future, they wouldn't have stayed in such lowly jobs.
(15) Indeed, there was a sign for the tribe of Sheba in their hometown! Two awesome gardens, one on the right and one on the left. They were told, "Enjoy the food your Lord gives you and be grateful. It's a great place, and your Lord is Forgiving."
(16) But they ignored the advice. So, We sent a massive flood their way and replaced their awesome gardens with only a few prickly trees, two gardens that grew sour fruit, and some shrubs that didn't give any fruit at all.
(17) This is how We dealt with them because they were ungrateful. Would We punish anyone like that unless they were ungrateful?
(18) And We put a bunch of cities close to each other, right between the towns We had blessed. And We made the journey between them short. We said, "Travel safely between them, day and night.”
(19) They prayed, "Our Lord! Make our travels longer," but they wronged themselves. So, We made them History and scattered them everywhere. There's a lesson in this for anyone who can be patient and grateful.
(20) Indeed, Satan was right about them. Most of them chose to follow him, except for many believers.
(21) He has no control over them. We'll tell apart those who believe in life after this one and those who are unsure. Your Lord is in charge of everything."
(22) Say, O Prophet, "Call upon those so-called gods beside God. These so-called gods don't even control an atom's weight in the heavens or earth. They have no share in them, and they can't help at all!"
(23) Nobody can speak to God unless He allows them to talk. Until the fear of the Day of Judgment is relieved from their hearts, they'll ask the angels, "What has your Lord just said?" The angels will say, "The truth! He's the Most Powerful and the Greatest."
(24) Ask them, "Who gives you everything you need from the heavens and the earth?" Say, "It's God. Either we or you are right or are in clear error."
(25) Say, "Don't worry, we won't be asked about the bad things you do, and you won't be asked about the good things we do."
(26) Say, "Our Lord will bring us all together, and then He will judge us fairly. He knows everything and is the Ultimate Judge."
(27) Say, " Show me those you think are equal to God. No! But indeed God is the All-Wise and Powerful."
(28) We sent you, O Prophet, to bring good news and to warn everyone, but most people don't realize it.
(29) And they ask, "When will all of this happen if you're telling the truth?"
(30) Say, "There's a set day for you, and you can't postpone or advance it, not even by an hour."
(31) Those who don't believe swear and say, "We'll never trust this Quran or the Scriptures before it." If only you could see the bad guys standing before their Lord, yelling at each other. The lowly followers will tell the arrogant leaders, "If it weren't for you, we'd be believers."
(32) The arrogant leaders will reply to the lowly followers, "Did we lead you away from the Right Path after it was shown to you? No, you made wrong choices."
(33) The lowly followers will say to the arrogant leaders, "No! You're the ones who convinced us to reject God and worship other things day and night." They'll feel sorry when they see the punishment. We'll put chains around the disbelievers' necks. Will they get anything different from what they did?
(34) And whenever We sent someone to warn a city, the rich folks there would say, "We don't believe in what you have been sent with.”
(35) Adding, “We've got tons of money and children so that no punishment will happen to us."
(36) Tell them, "My Lord provides for anyone however He wants, whether a lot or a little. But most people don't get it."
(37) And not your money or children will get you closer to Us, only the ones who believe and do good deeds. Those are the ones who will get double the rewards and live in safe and fabulous mansions.
(38) And those who try hard to prove Our messages wrong will be called to the punishment.
(39) Say, "It's my Lord who takes care of all His servants, giving them what they need, whether a lot or a little. And whatever you give to help others, He will give back to you. He's the Best at giving provisions."
(40) And think about the Day when everyone will be gathered, and then He will ask the angels, "Were these people worshipping you?"
(41) The angels will reply, "Glory be to You! You're our Master, not those things. Most people believed in the jinn and worshiped them."
(42) So today, nobody can help or hurt each other. We'll say to those who did wrong, "Feel the pain of the Fire, which you didn't believe in."
(43) And when people hear Our clear messages, they often say, "This is just some guy trying to make us stop believing in what our ancestors worshiped." They even claim, "This Quran is all made-up lies!" And when the absolute truth comes to them, the non-believers say, "This is just some kind of obvious magic."
(44) And We didn't give the people of Mecca any books to read or send anyone to warn them before you, O Prophet.
(45) Those who came before them also denied, and these guys in Mecca haven't even gotten a tenth of what We gave those before them. But the former people turned away from My messengers, so how was My response?
(46) Tell them, "I've got some advice for you: Stand up for the sake of God, whether you're alone or in pairs. Take a moment to think. The Prophet, your companion, is not crazy. He is to warn you before a big punishment comes."
(47) Tell them, "Whatever reward I've asked for, it's yours. My real reward comes from God, and He witnesses everything."
(48) Tell them, "My Lord reveals the truth and exposes lies. He knows the future and what can't be seen."
(49) Say, "The truth is here, and lies will disappear, never to come back."
(50) Tell them, "If I'm wrong, I'm only hurting myself, but if I'm right, it's because of what my Lord reveals to me. Indeed, He hears everything and is always near."
(51) Imagine if you could see how scared they'll be on Judgment Day! They won't be able to escape, and they'll be taken from right nearby.
(52) They'll cry out, "We believe now!" But how can they believe when they're far away from the real world?
(53) Even before, they didn't believe and made up stories from a place far, far from the afterlife.
(54) And a significant barrier will come between them and what they want, just like it happened to others before. Indeed, they were doubtful and confused.
