In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
(1) O Prophet! Remember to stay true to God, and don't listen to those who don't believe or pretend to be believers. Indeed, God knows everything and is All-Wise.
(2) Follow what your Lord revealed to you. God knows all about your actions.
(3) Trust in God; He's all you need to look after you.
(4) God doesn't give a man two hearts in his chest, and He doesn't think of your wives as your real moms, even if you claim that. Also, He does not consider your adopted children your actual children. These are just words coming out of your mouths, but God tells the truth, and He guides to the Right Way
(5) Let your adopted children keep their fathers' names. It's fair in God's sight. If you don't know who their fathers are, they're like your brothers and close friends in faith. It's okay if you make a mistake, but your intentions matter. God is All-Forgiving and Most Merciful.
(6) The Prophet has a special bond with the believers, even more than they are to themselves. His wives are like their moms. The family gets more inheritance than other believers and immigrants unless you want to be extra kind to your close friends by leaving them something. It's written in the Record.
(7) Remember when We took a covenant from you, O Prophet, and from the prophets: Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus, Son of Mary. We made a strong covenant with all of them.
(8) So, He asks these honest men how they shared the truth. Those who don't believe in God will have a painful punishment.
(9) O you who believe! Remember God's blessings upon you when He helped you in Medina when enemies came against you. We sent an invisible force and a strong wind to protect you. And God is All-Seeing of everything you do.
(10) Remember when the enemies surrounded you from the east and the west, your eyes widened in fear, and your hearts raced. At that moment, you had mixed feelings about God.
(11) At that moment, the believers were put to the test, and they faced a tough challenge that shook them up.
(12) Also, remember when some people who didn't honestly believe and those with sickness in their hearts said, "God and His Messenger are just making empty promises to us!"
(13) And when a group of them said, "O people of Yathrib! There's no reason to stay here, so let us leave." Another group wanted to leave, too, and asked the Prophet for permission, saying, "Our homes might be in danger," even though they weren't at risk. They just wanted to escape.
(14) If their city was attacked from all sides and they were told to give up their beliefs, they would do it without thinking twice.
(15) They promised God that they would never abandon their faith, and that promise to God will be questioned.
(16) Say, "Running away won't save you. Even if you run from dying naturally or getting killed by fighting, you'll only enjoy a short time of safety."
(17) Ask them, O Prophet, "Who can keep you safe from God's plans, whether to protect you or show you mercy? No one else can be your guardian or helper except God."
(18) God knows well those folks who stop others from joining the fight and say, "Come hang out with us," but never really fight themselves.
(19) They refuse to help you at all. When danger comes, they stare at you, rolling their eyes like someone about to die. But once the threat is gone, they attack you with hurtful words, hungry for worldly gains. These people haven't believed in God, so their actions don't count. And for God, that's easy.
(20) They still act like the enemy group has not left. And if they come back, these hypocrites would rather be far away in the desert, chatting with nomadic folks and checking on what's happening with you. But if these hypocrites were with you, they wouldn't fight in the battle.
(21) You've got an excellent role model in the Messenger of God for anyone who believes in God, hopes for the Last Day, and keeps remembering God.
(22) And when the believers saw their enemies, they said, "This is exactly what God and His messenger told us would happen, and they were right!" So, this made the believers even stronger in their faith and submission.
(23) Some believers stayed true to what they promised God. Some went all out and fulfilled their promise with their lives, while others patiently still await their turn. They've never changed their commitment at all.
(24) God may reward the truly sincere people for being honest and punish the fakes if He wants, or He might show them mercy. God is All-Forgiving and Most Merciful.
(25) God made the non-believers go away all mad and with nothing. God kept the believers safe so they didn't have to fight. God is Strong and Mighty.
(26) And He brought down the People of the Book who were helping the enemy from their solid fortresses and filled their hearts with fear. You killed some of them and took others as captives.
(27) And He gave you their land, homes, money, and even a new place you have yet to go to. God has control over everything.
(28) O Prophet! Tell your wives, "If you want the good stuff in this world and all the nice things, I can give you something, and we can part ways nicely.
(29) But if you want God, His Messenger, and the life after this one, God's got a big reward for those of you who do good things.”
(30) O wives of the Prophet! If any of you ever does a proven indecency, the punishment will be twice as much for her. And God can make it happen quickly.
(31) But if you're good and follow God and His Messenger and do good deeds, you'll get double the reward, and We'll make sure you have lots of good things.
(32) O wives of the Prophet! You're not like other women. If you're mindful of God, don't speak too softly to men, or those with sickness in their hearts might be tempted. Speak normally.
(33) Stay at home, don't display your beauty like people used to in the old days of ignorance, and do your prayers, give to charity, and obey God and His Messenger. God wants to make you pure and remove all the bad stuff from you, O family of the Prophet!
(34) Always remember what is recited in your homes of God's revelations and the prophet's wise words. God is Gentle and knows everything.
(35) For sure, Muslim men and women, believing men and women, obedient men and women, truthful men and women, patient men and women, humble men and women, charitable men and women, fasting men and women, men and women who protect their purity, men, and women who remember God often, they'll receive forgiveness and a big reward from God.
(36) And it is not for a believing man or woman, once God and His Messenger have decided something, to have a choice to change it. Whoever disobeys God and His Messenger has indeed gone off the Right Path.
(37) Remember when you advised the one whom God had favored and to whom you had also extended favor to stay with his wife and be faithful to God. At that time, you kept something to yourself that God was about to reveal. You thought about what people would say, but God's opinion matters most. Then, when Zaid lost interest in keeping his wife, God arranged for you to marry her. This way, believers wouldn't be blamed for marrying the ex-wives of their adopted sons after they get divorced. God's rules are super important.
(38) The Prophet is not to blame for doing what God has told him to do. This is how God has always worked with past prophets, and God's commands are definite.
(39) The prophets who share God's messages and only fear God, not anyone else, and God is enough to watch over everything.
(40) Muhammad is not the father of any of your guys, but he's God's Messenger and the last prophet. And God knows everything perfectly.
(41) O you who believe! Remember God a lot.
(42) Praise and glorify Him in the morning and evening.
(43) He is the One Who showers His blessings upon you, and His angels pray for you to guide you from darkness to light. He is always Merciful to those who believe.
(44) Their greeting when they meet Him will be "Peace!" He has prepared an excellent reward for them.
(45) O Prophet! We have sent you to be a witness, share good news, and warn people.
(46) And to invite people to follow God's Way with His permission and a bright light.
(47) So, give good news to the believers that God will provide them with a big reward.
(48) Don't listen to those who don't believe or pretend to be believers. Don't let their insults bother you. Instead, trust in God. He's all you need.
(49) O you who believe! If you marry a girl who believes in your faith but then divorce her before getting close, you don't have to wait. Just give them fair compensation and let her go kindly.
(50) O Prophet! You can marry the women you've given dowries to, the women you've taken as captives, and the daughters of your uncles and aunts from both your mother's and father's side, who have the same faith as you. If a believing woman wants to marry you without you giving her a dowry, and you want to marry her, you can. This particular rule is just for you, not for other believers. We've made clear rules for believers regarding their wives and servants. Following these rules won't bring any blame upon you. God is All-Forgiving and Most Merciful.
(51) You can choose when to spend time with your wives or welcome anyone you want. No problem if you're going to bring back anyone you've set aside. This way, they'll probably be happy, not upset, and more satisfied with what you offer them all. God knows what's in your heart and Is understanding and Patient.
(52) O Prophet! You can't marry more women or switch them for other wives, except for the women you've taken as captives. Even if you find someone more attractive, you can't do it. God is ever Watchful over all things.
(53) O you who believe! Only enter the homes of the Prophet after first asking for permission. If he invites you for a meal, avoid arriving too early and wait until the food is ready. But if you're told to come at a specific time, please be on time. After you've finished eating, head out, and do not stick around to chat too much. This annoys the Prophet; he is too shy to tell you to leave, but God isn't shy about the truth. Do it behind a curtain if you must talk to the Prophet's wives. This is purer for your hearts and theirs. And remember, it's not cool to annoy the Prophet of God or think about marrying his wives after him in the future. That's a great offense in God's sight.
(54) No matter if you show something to everyone or keep it secret, remember that God has perfect knowledge about it.
(55) There is no blame on the Prophet's wives if they're not wearing a veil in front of their fathers, brothers, sons, nephews, fellow Muslim women, and their servants. And be mindful of God. Indeed, God is a Witness over everything.
(56) God sends His blessings to the Prophet, and His angels pray for him. O you who believe! Ask God to bless him and greet him with a greeting of peace.
God curses (57) People who insult God and His Messenger in this life and the next, and they'll face a very embarrassing punishment.
(58) Those who unfairly harm men and women who believe in God will face the consequences of spreading false rumors and committing a grave sin.
(59) O Prophet! Tell your wives, daughters, and the believing women to wear their cloaks for modesty. This makes it easier for people to see their good character and protects them from harm. God is All-Forgiving and Most Merciful.
(60) If those who pretend to be believers but aren't, people with bad intentions, and those who spread rumors in Medina don't stop their nonsense, We will have you stand up against them. Then they won't be your neighbors anymore.
(61) They are cursed. Wherever they go, they must be caught and killed right then and there.
(62) That's how God dealt with the people who pretended to believe before you, and God's Way doesn't change.
(63) People ask you, O Prophet, about when the Hour. Tell them, "Only God knows that. You never know. Maybe the Hour is near.”
(64) God has cursed the non-believers, and He has prepared for them a massive, burning Fire.
(65) They'll be stuck there forever, with no one to help or save them.
(66) On the Day they are thrown into the Fire, they'll cry, "If only we had listened to God and the Messenger.
(67) Our Lord, we followed our leaders and influential people, but they led us away from the Right Path.
(68) Our Lord, give them double the punishment and put a big curse on them."
(69) O you who believe! Don't be like those who talked terribly about Moses, but God showed he was innocent, and Moses was honorable in God's sight.
(70) O you who believe! Be mindful of God and always tell the truth.
(71) He will bless what you do and forgive your mistakes. And whoever follows God and His Messenger has succeeded in a big way.
(72) We offered a special responsibility to the heavens, the earth, and the mountains, but they refused because they were scared of holding the responsibility. But humans took it because they often do wrong things and are ignorant of the consequences.
(73) This way, God will punish those men and women who pretend to believe but don't really and who worship idols. But God will be kind to those who genuinely believe, men and women. God is Super Forgiving and Very Merciful.
