In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
(1) Alif, Lam, Mim.
(2) This Book's message is, without a doubt, from God, the Lord of all Worlds.
(3) Or do they say, “He has made it up!”? No! It is the truth from your Lord to warn people who have never been warned before so they can be guided.
(4) God created the heavens, the earth, and everything in between in six days. After that, He established Himself on the Throne. Beside Him, you have no one to protect or speak on your behalf. Will you not think about that?
(5) God manages everything from the sky to the earth, and then it all goes back to Him on a Day that feels like a thousand years by your counting.
(6) He is the Knower of everything, visible and hidden. He is All-Powerful and full of kindness and mercy.
(7) He created everything perfectly and began the creation of the human being from clay.
(8) Then He made his descendants from an extract of a simple liquid.
(9) Then He shaped and breathed His spirit into him, allowing you to hear, see, and think. But you hardly give any thanks.
(10) They said, "Are we going to be created again after we die and turn to dust?" Indeed, they don't believe they'll meet their Lord.
(11) Say, "The angel of death in charge of you will take your soul. Then you'll all return to your Lord."
(12) Imagine if you could see the bad guys bowing down to their Lord and begging, “Our Lord! We've seen and heard it all, so please give us another chance. We truly believe now."
(13) And if We wanted, We could guide everyone. But My Word will be fulfilled: I will fill Hell with jinn and people.
(14) So, taste the punishment for forgetting the meeting of this Day of yours. We have forgotten you, too. And taste the everlasting punishment for what you used to do!
(15) The genuine believers in Our revelations are those who bow in humility, praise their Lord, and aren't too full of themselves when reminded of them.
(16) They leave their comfy beds to pray to their Lord with a mix of fear and hope, and they share what they have with others to give back.
(17) Nobody knows the fantastic rewards waiting for them because of their good deeds.
(18) So, is someone who believes the same as someone who is rebellious? They're not the same.
(19) Those who believe and do good will enjoy fantastic Gardens as a reward for their good deeds.
(20) But as for those who are rebellious, they'll end up facing the Fire. No matter how much they try to escape it, they'll be thrown back into it and told, “Taste the punishment of the Fire that you used to deny.”
(21) And We will certainly make them taste the smaller punishment in this life first before the bigger punishment in the Hereafter, hoping they will return to the Right Path.
(22) And who's worse than someone who ignores the essential messages of their Lord when reminded of them? We will certainly make those who do wrong face the punishment.
(23) We gave Moses the Book, so don't doubt His meeting. And We made it a guide for the Children of Israel.
(24) We picked leaders from among them to show them the Right Way when they stayed patient and genuinely believed in what We revealed to them.
(25) Indeed, your Lord will sort out their arguments on Judgment Day.
(26) Don't they see how many communities We wiped out before them, that they still pass by their ruins? Indeed, there are clear signs of this. Why don't they pay attention?
(27) Have they noticed how We drive water to the dead land, then bring plants for them and their animals to eat? Do they not see that?
(28) And they make fun of Us, asking, "When is this Big Judgment Day coming if you're so sure about it?"
(29) Tell them, "On Judgment Day, it won't help the non-believers to believe then, and they won't escape punishment."
(30) So, ignore them and wait; they're waiting, too.
