In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

(1) Alif, Lam, Mim.

(2) These are the Verses of the Book, full of wisdom.

(3) This book is a guide and mercy to people who do good things.

(4) Those who pray, give to charity, and are sure of the Hereafter.

(5) These are truly guided by their Lord, and they are successful.

(6) But some people waste their money on nonsensical things to distract others from the Way of God, without knowledge, and they make fun of the Way of God. They will face humiliating punishment.

(7) And when Our verses are recited to them, they turn away arrogantly, as if they do not hear; as if there is deafness in their ears. So, warn them of a painful punishment.

(8) Those who believe in God and do good things will go to the beautiful Gardens of Bliss.

(9) They will live there forever. God’s promise is true, and He is All-Powerful, All-Wise.

(10) God created the sky without visible pillars. He placed firm mountains on the earth to keep it steady. He also filled the earth with many different living things. God sent water from the sky, making all sorts of beautiful plants grow.

(11) This is the creation of God. Can you show me anything made by those so-called "gods" instead of Him? The truth is those who do wrong are entirely lost.

(12) We gave Luqman the wisdom and advised, "Always be thankful to God. Whoever is thankful, it's good for him. But whoever is not, God does not need anything from anyone, and He is worthy of praise."

(13) Luqman once told his son, "O my son! Don't worship anything except God. Worshipping anything else with God is a big injustice."

(14) And We commanded people to honor their parents. Their mother went through a lot of hard times to care for them, and their weaning takes two years. So, be grateful to Me and your parents. In the end, everyone goes back to Me.

(15) And if they try to make you worship something else with Me, but you don't know anything about it, don't listen to them. Instead, be polite to them and follow the path of those who believe in Me. Ultimately, you'll return to Me, and I'll tell you about your actions.

(16) O my son! Even if a good or bad deed is as tiny as a mustard seed, hidden in a rock, anywhere in the heavens or on earth, God will bring it forth. God is always Kind and knows everything.

(17) O my son! Remember to pray, encourage doing good things, stand against bad things, and stay strong in facing challenges. These are essential qualities to have.

(18) Don't act all high and mighty around people, and don't walk like you're the boss of the world. God doesn't like it when people are arrogant and show off.

(19) Be humble when you walk and speak softly. The worst kind of voice is one that's loud and annoying, like a donkey's.

(20) Have you ever noticed how God has put everything in the heavens and on the earth for you and has given you so many blessings? Some you can see, and some you can't. Yet, some people argue about God without guidance or clear instructions.

(21) And when people are told, "Follow what God has revealed," they reply, "We'll stick with what our ancestors followed." But would they still do that if they knew that Satan was leading them to the punishment of the Hellfire?

(22) Whoever submits to God and does good things, then they have grasped the firmest hand-hold.  And to God, everything returns.

(23) Do not let those who do not believe make you sad. They'll return to Us, and We will show them everything they did. Indeed, God knows what's in their hearts better than anyone.

(24) We'll let them have some fun, and then they'll face some tough times.

(25) And if you ask them, "Who created the sky and the earth?" They'll say, "God." Say, "Praise be to God." But most of them don't get it.

(26) Everything in the sky and the earth belongs to God. God doesn't need anything from anyone and is deserving of praise.

(27) Imagine if all the trees were turned into pens, and all the oceans and more oceans were turned into ink. Even then, God's words wouldn't run out. God is Incredibly Powerful and Wise.

(28) Creating and bringing everyone back to life is just as simple for God as caring for a single person. God can hear everything and see everything.

(29) Have you ever noticed how God merges the night into day and the day into night? God controls the sun and the moon, each moving in an orbit for an appointed term. God knows everything you do.

(30) God is the Ultimate Truth, and everything else people worship is false. God is the Most High and the Greatest.

(31) Have you ever noticed how ships smoothly sail on water by His grace to show you some of His signs? There are lessons in this for those who are patient and grateful.

(32) And when huge waves surround them like mountains, they cry to God for help. But when He makes them reach safety, only a few are thankful. But only those who don't believe in God's signs are deceitful and ungrateful.

(33) O People! Remember your Lord and fear the Day when parents can't help their kids, and kids can't help their parents. God's promises are for real. Don't be fooled by this life or by Satan when it comes to God.

(34) Indeed, only God knows when the Hour will happen. He sends rain and knows what's inside pregnant bellies. And no person can predict what they'll earn tomorrow or where they'll pass away. God knows everything and is All-Wise.
