In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
(1) Alif, Lam, Mim.
(2) Allah, there is no god but He, the Ever-Living, the One Who takes care of everything.
(3) He sent you, ˁ O Prophet,ˀ the Book in truth confirming what was before and sent down the Torah and the Gospel.
(4) In the past, as a guide to people and sent down a clear standard for right and wrong. Those who don't believe in God's messages will face a harsh punishment. God is All-Powerful and can rightfully punish those who go against Him.
(5) Nothing can be hidden from God, whether on earth or in the heavens.
(6) He creates each of you in the mother's womb as He wishes. There's no god but Him, and He's the All-Powerful, the All-Wise.
(7) It is He Who revealed this Book to you, and it contains clear and some unclear verses. The clear verses are like the core of the Book. Some people with doubts focus on the unclear parts and twist them to fit their agenda. But only God truly knows their actual meanings. People with good knowledge say, "We believe in it all, as it comes from our Lord." Only those who understand can grasp the message.
(8) "Our Lord, don't let our hearts go astray after you've guided us and shower us with Your mercy. You are indeed the source of all goodness.
(9) Our Lord, you are gathering people for a sure Day of which there is no doubt. Indeed, God never breaks His promises."
(10) Indeed, people who don't believe in God, their money, and children won't help them against God's judgment. They are the fuel of Fire.
(11) Their behavior is like what happened to the people who opposed God in the past, like Pharaoh's group. They did not believe the signs from God and faced severe punishment for their wrongdoings, and God is severe in punishment.
(12) Tell those who don't believe they will be defeated and gathered unto Hell. What a worst place to rest in!
(13) Indeed, there was a powerful sign for you in two clashed armies. One fought for God, and the other didn't believe in Him. They saw each other, and the non-believers were double in number. But God helps whoever He wants to win. Indeed, that is a lesson for those who can see beyond the surface.
(14) Worldly pleasures have been made appealing to many people, such as women, children, piles of gold and silver, horses, cattle, and fields. These are enjoyable, but God offers something even better.
(15) God promises something far superior to those mindful of Him. They will have gardens with rivers, lasting happiness, purified spouses, and God's approval. God watches over His faithful servants.
(16) Those who say, "Our Lord, we've believed, so please forgive our mistakes and keep us safe from the punishment of the Fire."
(17) People who are patient, honest, obedient, and share with those in need for God's sake— those who ask for forgiveness before sunrise.
(18) God ˁ Himself ˀ is a Witness that there is no god worthy of worship except Him, and so the angels and those with knowledge. He takes care of everything fairly. He is the All-Powerful, the All-Wise.
(19) Indeed. The only way to truly connect with God is through submission, ˁ which is called Islam.ˀ Those who got the Scripture only started disagreeing after they gained knowledge, primarily because of jealousy. Whoever ignores God's signs, God is Quick at taking account.
(20) If someone argues with you, say, "I've submitted myself to God, and those who follow me have submitted too." Also, ask those who have been given the Scripture and those who are not literate, "Have you submitted yourselves to God?" If they do, they're on the Right Track; if they don't, your duty is only to deliver the clear message. God is All-Seeing of His servants.
(21) Indeed, people who don't believe in God's messages, kill the messengers without right, and kill those who stand up for justice among the people will face an excruciating punishment.
(22) Their works will be meaningless in this life and the afterlife, and they won't have anyone to rescue them.
(23) Did you see those given some of God's Scripture? When asked to follow the Book of God to settle their arguments, some refused and turned away.
(24) This is because they said, "The Fire won't hurt us, just for a few days." But their false lies messed up their faith.
(25) But what will happen when everyone is gathered on a Day where there is no doubt, and everyone is rewarded for their deeds? No one will be mistreated.
(26) Say, "O God, the One Who's in charge of everything. You give power to anyone You want and take it from anyone You want. You honor whoever You want and humble whoever You wish to. All goodness comes from You. Surely, You can do anything.
(27) You make the night turn into day, and you make the day turn into night. You bring the living out of the dead and the dead out of the living. You provide for whoever you want, without any limits."
(28) Believers shouldn't team up with non-believers. If anyone does that, they're not with God unless you want to protect yourselves. God warns you of Himself, and everyone returns to Him.
(29) Remember that God knows everything, whether you keep your feelings hidden or share them. He knows what's happening in the heavens and the earth. And God is Capable of everything!
(30) There will come a Day when every person sees all the good things they've done and the bad things they've done too. They'll wish the bad things were far away from them. God warns you of Himself. And God is Kind to those who serve Him.
(31) Tell them, ˁ O Prophet, ˀ "If you truly love God, follow me, and God will love you and forgive your sins. And God is Forgiving and Merciful."
(32) Say, "Obey God and the Messenger." But if people refuse, then know that God doesn't favor those who don't believe.
(33) Indeed, God chose Adam, Noah, and the family of Abraham, as well as the family of Imran, above everyone else.
(34) They're all family, linked by their ancestors. God hears and knows everything.
(35) When Imran's wife prayed, she said, "My Lord, I promised to dedicate my baby to serve You. Please accept this commitment. You're the One Who listens and knows everything."
(36) Later, when she had a baby girl, she exclaimed, "My Lord, I've had a baby girl!" And surely, God knows best what she is, and boys are not the same as girls. "I'll name her Mary, and I pray that You protect her and her descendants from the devil."
(37) So God kindly accepted her and blessed her with a wonderful upbringing. Zechariah was entrusted to care for her. When he found food in her room, he asked, "Mary, where did this food come from?" She replied, "It's from God; He gives to whoever He wants without limit."
(38) Zechariah prayed to God, saying, "My Lord, bless me with a good child by Your grace. You're the One Who answers prayers."
(39) Then angels came to him while he prayed, saying, "God gives you great news of John who will confirm the Word of God. He will be a leader, a good person, and a righteous prophet."
(40) He wondered, "How can I have a child when I'm old, and my wife can't have children?" The angels said, "God is Capable of anything."
(41) Zechariah said, "Lord! Give me a sign." God said, "For three days, you can't talk to people; just use gestures. Remember God a lot; praise Him in the morning and evening."
(42) Remember when the angels spoke to Mary, saying, " O Mary! God has chosen, purified, and chosen you over all women.
(43) O Mary! Be obedient to God, prostrate down, and kneel with others who kneel."
(44) This is some hidden information we're sharing with you. You weren't there when people were casting their pens to decide who should take care of Mary, and you weren't around when they were arguing about it.
(45) The angels said, "O Mary! God has great news for you. You'll have a son named Jesus, who'll be honored in this world and the afterlife and close to God."
(46) And he will talk to people when he's a baby in the cradle and when he's grown up, and he'll be righteous.”
(47) Mary asked, "How can I have a son when I haven't been touched by a man?" The angels answered, "God can create anything. When He wants something to exist, He says, 'Be,' and it is."
(48) God will teach him the Book, Wisdom, Torah, and Gospel.
(49) He will be a messenger to the people of Israel, saying, “I can show you incredible things. I can create a bird from clay, breathe life into it, and make it a real bird, all with God's permission. I can also heal the blind and those with skin diseases, and I can even bring the dead back to life again, all with God's permission. Plus, I can tell you precisely what you're eating and what's in your house. This is a clear sign for you if you're a true believer.
(50) And I confirm the Torah. I will make some things that were forbidden for you permissible. I have come to you with a sign from God, so be mindful of God and listen to me.
(51) Indeed, God is my Lord and your Lord. Worship Him, and you'll be on the Right Path.'"
(52) But when Jesus noticed that some people didn't believe in him, he asked, "Who is on my side when it comes to God?" His disciples replied, "We're with you. We believe in God, and we're committed to following Him so witness that we are Muslims, submissive to God alone."
(53) They prayed, "Our Lord, we believe in what You've revealed, and we're following Jesus, Your Messenger. Please include us among the witnesses."
(54) Some people tried to harm Jesus, but God had a better plan. God is the best planner.
(55) Then God said to Jesus, "I'm taking you back to Me, raising you up to Myself, and purifying you ˁ , clearing up the misunderstanding that you're God's son or God.ˀ Those who follow your teachings will be honored, and there will be a Judgment Day when all disputes will be settled."
(56) If people do not believe, I will punish them severely in this world and the Hereafter, and no one will be there to help them.
(57) But if they believe and do good things, they will be rewarded fully, and God doesn't like the sinful.
(58) We're reciting this to you of the Verses and the Wise Reminder.
(59) Indeed, the example of Jesus in the sight of God is like Adam: God created Adam from dust and just said, "Be," and he was. It's all from God, so don't doubt it.
(60) This is the truth from your Lord, so do not be one of those who doubt.
(61) If someone argues with you, even after you know the truth, say, "Let's get our children and your children, our women, and your women, ourselves and yourselves, and pray for God to show who's lying."
(62) This is the true story, and there's only One God, and He's indeed All-Powerful and All-Wise.
(63) God knows who the corrupters are if they turn away.
(64) Tell the People of the Book, "Let's agree to worship only One God and not make anyone equal to Him. If they refuse, say, 'Witness that we're Muslims, submissive to God alone.'"
(65) O People of the Book! Why argue about Abraham when the Torah and the Gospel came later? Think about it!
(66) You argue about things you know, so why argue about things you don't know? God knows best, not you.
(67) Abraham wasn't a Jew or Christian, but he was a Muslim, a monotheist who just believed in God and worshiped Him. He wasn't an idolater.
(68) Indeed, those who follow Abraham and this Prophet and believe are the real followers of Abraham. God protects believers.
(69) Some people of the Book want to mislead you, but they're only hurting themselves, and they don't even realize it.
(70) O People of the Book! Why do you not believe in God's signs while you testify to their truth?
(71) O People of the Book! Why are you trying to hide the truth with lies while you know?
(72) Some people of the Book tell each other, "Believe in what was revealed to the believers in the morning, but reject it by evening; maybe they'll change their religion."
(73) They say, "Only believe those who follow your religion!" Say, "Indeed, true guidance comes from God." They also said, "Do not believe that someone will receive a Book like yours or debate with you in front of God." Tell them, "Indeed, God holds all blessings and gives them to whoever He chooses. God knows everything!"
(74) God shows mercy to those He chooses and Is Super Generous.
(75) Among the People of the Book, some are trustworthy—you give them a pile of gold, and they'll return it. But there are others you lend just a coin to, and they won't give it back unless you keep bugging them. They say, "We don't owe anything to those who don't know our ways, like the non-believers and Arabs." But they're making up stories about God, and they know it.
(76) If someone keeps their promises and fears God, then God loves those who are devoted.
(77) Indeed, those who trade their promises and oaths with God for a bit of gain will not have a good time in life after this one. God won't talk to them, look at them, or even cleanse them on the Day of Judgment. They're in for some serious trouble and painful torture.
(78) And some folks twist the words of the Scripture with their lies, making it seem like it's from the Scripture when it's not. They even claim it's from God, but it's all a bunch of lies. They're knowingly making things up about God.
(79) ˁ Just so you know, ˀ no one who's been given the Scripture, Authority, or the Prophethood by God would ever tell people to serve them instead of God. Instead, they'd say, "Live right and godly according to the teachings you've learned from the Scripture."
(80) They wouldn't tell you to treat angels and prophets as your gods. Would they ask you to turn away from your faith after submitting to God?
(81) And when God made a covenant with the prophets, He said, "Whatever I have given you of the Book and wisdom should a messenger come to you with a message confirming what you've got, believe in him and support him." God asked, "Do you agree and promise to follow this covenant?" They said, "Yes, we agree." God said, "Now be witnesses, and I am also a Witness along with you."
(82) If someone turns away after that, they are rebellious.
(83) Do they want anything other than God's religion? Everything in the heavens and the earth obeys God, whether they like it or not. In the end, you all return to Him.
(84) Say, "We believe in God and the revelations given to us, as well as those given to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, their descendants, Moses, Jesus, and the other prophets. We don't favor one over the others, and we are all Muslims, submissive to God alone."
(85) If someone wants a religion other than Islam, ˁ submission to God alone, ˀ it won't be accepted from him, and they'll miss out in the Hereafter.
(86) How can God guide people who stop believing after believing and seeing that the Messenger is true and clear signs have been shown to them? God doesn't guide those who act unjustly.
(87) Those people will be cursed by God, the angels, and humanity as a punishment.
(88) They'll be in it forever. Their punishment won't get any easier and won't be delayed.
(89) Unless they repent, change their ways, and ask for forgiveness. Then, God is All-Forgiving and Most Merciful.
(90) If someone believes, stop believing and continue going down that path. Indeed, their apologies won't be accepted. They're lost.
(91) Indeed, for those who don't believe and stay that way till the end, even if they offered all the gold in the world, it wouldn't help them. They'll face a painful punishment, and no one will save them.
(92) You won't earn a good reward unless you donate from what you love. Whatever you give, God knows about it.
(93) All food was allowed for the Children of Israel, except what Israel made forbidden for himself before the Torah came. Tell them, "Show us the Torah and read it if you're telling the truth."
(94) If someone tells lies about God after that, they are being wrongdoers.
(95) Tell them, "God tells the truth. So, follow the Way of Abraham, who believed only in One God and never worshiped idols.
(96) The first holy place for people was in Becca. It's a special and blessed place, guiding everyone who goes there.
(97) There are clear signs: The place where Abraham stood. If one goes in there, he’ll be safe. Going on a pilgrimage to God's House is a duty if one can afford it. But if someone does not believe, then God doesn't need anything from anyone.
(98) Ask the People of the Book, "Why do you not believe in God's revelations when God is watching everything you do?"
(99) Ask them, "Why do you try to stop those who believe in God's Way and try to change it, even though you know what's right? God always knows what's happening."
(100) O you who believe! If you obey a group of those who were given the Scripture, they will turn you back into disbelief after believing.
(101) How can you doubt when God's verses are being recited to you and His Messenger is among you? Whoever sticks to their faith is on the Right Path.
(102) O you who believe! Fear God like He should be feared, and do not die except as Muslims, submissive to Him alone.
(103) Stay united in your faith; don't let divisions tear you apart. Remember how God blessed you, brought your hearts closer when you used to be enemies, and saved you after being on the edge of Hellfire. God explains His verses to you to guide you.
(104) And let there be a group among you who promote goodness, encourage doing what's right, and stand against what's wrong. Those are the ones who truly succeed.
(105) Don't be like those who became divided and argued even when clear signs were given to them. They'll face a great punishment.
(106) On a Day when some faces will shine with joy, others will be gloomy. The ones with gloomy faces will be asked, "Did you stop believing after you believed? Now, taste the punishment for not believing."
(107) But for those with joyful faces, they will be in God's Mercy, living there forever.
(108) These verses are messages from God, and We share them with you in truth. God never wishes harm to people.
(109) Everything in the heavens and the earth belongs to God; in the end, all matters return to Him.
(110) You are the best community ever raised for all people. You promote kindness, discourage wrong actions, and have faith in God. If the People of the Book had believed, too, things would have been better for them. Some of them are believers, but many are rebellious.
(111) They can't harm you with anything except mean words. If they try to fight you, they'll run away and get no help.
(112) They'll feel ashamed wherever they go unless they have God's protection or an agreement with others. They made God angry and suffered because they ignored God's messages and unfairly killed the prophets. It's all because they did not listen and rebelled.
(113) Not all of them are the same. Among the People of the Book, a righteous group recites God's revelations at night and bows in prayer.
(114) They have faith in God and the Day of Judgment, encourage doing good, discourage wrongdoing, and eagerly engage in acts of kindness. These people are considered to be among the genuinely good-hearted.
(115) Whatever good they do, it won't go unnoticed. God knows those who are genuinely good and kind.
(116) Indeed, those who don't believe will find that their wealth and children won't help them in any way regarding God. They are the ones destined to be the companions of the Fire forever.
(117) Think of what they spend in this world as a cold wind that ruins the crops of those who have done wrong to themselves. It's not God that wronged them, but it is they who wronged themselves.
(118) O you who believe! Don't make close friends with people who want to hurt you.
Their only wish is to make you suffer. They might say mean things, but what they hide in their hearts is even worse. We're giving you this clear warning if you understand.
(119) You may have affection for them, but they don't feel the same way about you, even though you believe in the whole Book. When they're around, they say, "We believe," but when they're alone, they bite their fingertips at you out of anger. Just let them die in rage; God knows what's in their hearts.
(120) When good things happen to you, they feel jealous or hurt; when bad things happen, they find joy in your tough times. But if you stay patient and mindful of God, their mean plans won't hurt you. Just remember, God is Fully Aware of everything.
(121) ˁ O Prophet! ˀ Remember that morning when you set out with your fellow believers to prepare for a battle? Remember, God is always listening and knows everything.
(122) When two groups among you were feeling down and losing hope, God had their back and protected them. So, believers, trust in God.
(123) God gave you victory at the Battle of Badr, even when you were outnumbered. So, always be mindful of God; it will help you be grateful.
(124) Remember when you asked your believing friends, "Isn't it enough that God sent three thousand angels to support you?"
(125) And yes, if you stay patient and mindful of God and the enemy surprises you, your Lord will send even more help—five thousand angels with distinguishing marks.
(126) God brings you good news to make your hearts feel better. Victory comes from God, the All-Powerful, the All-Wise.
(127) To destroy a group of those who don't believe and make the others feel low, so they give up in disappointment.
(128) Don't worry about whether God forgives or punishes them; they've done wrong.
(129) Everything in the heavens and the earth belongs to God. He forgives those He wants to and punishes those He wants to. God is very Forgiving and Merciful.
(130) O you who believe! Don't make money by charging interest, and fear God to be successful.
(131) Protect yourself from the punishment meant for those who don't believe.
(132) Listen to God and the Messenger, and you'll receive mercy.
(133) And hurry to get forgiveness from your Lord and a Paradise as vast as the heavens and the earth, all set for the good people.
(134) Those who are kind and patient, even when things are tough, stay calm when upset, and forgive others are the people God loves.
(135) And those who, when they mess up or do something wrong, think about God and ask for forgiveness. They don't keep doing bad things and know that only God can forgive their mistakes.
(136) Those people get forgiven by God and find themselves in beautiful Gardens with rivers flowing underneath, where they'll stay forever. A fantastic reward for being good.
(137) Many people in the past ignored the truth and didn't believe. So, explore the world, see what happened to those who didn't believe, and learn from it.
(138) This message is for everyone to show the way and give advice to those who do what's right.
(139) Don't give up or feel sad. If you believe, you're stronger and superior.
(140) When you're hurt, remember others have been through tough times too. Life has its ups and downs, and God tests you to reveal the true believers and choose witnesses from among you. God doesn't like those who do evil things.
(141) God tests the faith of believers and separates those who don't believe.
(142) Do you think you can go to Paradise without God testing those who work hard for His cause and those who are patient?
(143) And you used to wish to die for God’s cause, but now you've seen death up close.
(144) Muhammad is no more than a messenger. Other messengers have passed before him. If he were to die or be killed, would you lose faith? Turning away won't harm God in any way. God rewards those who are thankful.
(145) No one dies without God's permission, which happens at an assigned time. Whoever wants the reward of the world, We will give him from it; and whoever wants the reward of the Hereafter, We will provide him from it, and We will reward the grateful.
(146) Think about how many believers stood by their prophets. They didn't lose heart when they faced challenges in God's Name. God loves those who stay patient.
(147) They only said, "Our Lord, forgive our sins and help us in what we're trying to do. Make us strong, and let us overcome those who don't believe."
(148) God rewarded them in this life and promised them even better rewards in the afterlife. God truly cares for those who do good.
(149) O you who believe! If you follow those who don't believe in your faith, they will lead you away from what's right, and you'll lose out in the end.
(150) But don't worry, God is on your side and Is the Best Helper you could ever have.
(151) We will make those who don't believe scared because they worship gods that God hasn't given any authority. They'll end up in the Fire, the worst outcome for the wrongdoers.
(152) God has kept His promise when you defeated your enemies with His help. But then some of you lost hope, argued about what to do, and didn't follow His guidance, but He still forgave you. God is Gracious to those who have faith.
(153) Do you remember when you tried to escape, climbed a mountain, and didn't listen to anyone while the Messenger tried calling you back? Well, because of that, you had to go through a lot of tough times, one after another, to help you forget about the sad things you lost and the hard times you went through. God knows all about what you've been up to.
(154) Then, after all those tough times, some of you got a little nap while others were thinking about themselves and making up untrue ideas about God, saying, "Is there anything for us in this matter?" Say, "All matters are destined by God." They kept their thoughts hidden, and they said, "If it were up to us, no one would have been killed here." Say, "Even if you stayed at home, the people who were meant to be killed would have gone out and faced it anyway." God puts you to the test to see what's in your heart and make it better. God knows what's in your heart.
(155) Indeed, for those of you who ran away when the two armies clashed, Satan caused them to slip because of what they did wrong. But God forgave them. Indeed, God is All-Forgiving and Patient.
(156) O you who believe! Don't act like non-believers who used to say to their brothers when they traveled or went into battle, "If they stayed with us, they wouldn't have died or killed." That's something God will always make them regret. But remember, God decides who lives and who doesn't. God sees everything you do.
(157) If you're fighting for God’s cause and you get hurt or even lose your life, remember that God's Forgiveness and Mercy are way more valuable than anything you can gain in this world.
(158) And if you die or get killed, then know that you'll ultimately return to God.
(159) O Prophet! The kindness and compassion you've shown to others made them stick with you. They would have left your side if you had been mean and harsh. So, forgive them, ask God to forgive them, and consult with them when making decisions. If you make a choice, trust in God. He loves those who have faith in Him.
(160) No one can defeat you if God is on your side. But if He abandons you, who's going to give you help then? So, believers, trust in God. He loves those who trust in Him
(161) A prophet should never betray or take things they're not supposed to. If someone does that and takes things unlawfully, they'll have to answer for it on the Day of Resurrection. Everyone will be rewarded or punished based on their actions, and no one will be mistreated.
(162) So, is someone who seeks to do what pleases God similar to someone who does things that anger God and ends up in Hell? That's the worst possible outcome!
(163) People have different levels of closeness to God; He sees everything they do.
(164) God has given believers a special gift by sending them a messenger from among themselves who recites His revelations, helps them become better people, and teaches them about His guidance and wisdom. All of this, even though they were indeed lost before.
(165) When you faced a tough situation and wondered why it happened even though you had fought hard against your enemies, you asked, "Why is this happening?" Well, it's a result of your actions. God has the power to do anything.
(166) What happened on the day when the two armies clashed only occurred with God's permission. He allowed it to happen so that He could recognize the true believers.
(167) This was a test to reveal those who pretend to believe in God but don't truly mean it. They were told, "Come and join the fight for God's cause, or at least defend yourselves." But they replied, "If we knew we were going to fight, we would have joined." On that day, they were closer to disbelief than to true faith. They say things with their mouths that don't match what's in their hearts, and God knows their secrets.
(168) Some people who stayed home said about their friends, "If they had listened to us, they wouldn't have been killed." Tell them, "Then try to avoid death if you're so sure."
(169) Don't think of those who died for the sake of God as dead. They're alive in a better place, well cared for by their Lord.
(170) They're happy with what they've received from God and excited for those yet to join them. They have no reason to be scared or sad.
(171) They're full of joy for the blessings God has given them, and they know that God doesn't let the good things go to waste for those who believe.
(172) For those who obeyed God and the Messenger even when they were hurt and did good deeds while fearing God, there's a fantastic reward waiting for them.
(173) When the hypocrites said to them, "The pagans have gathered against you, so be afraid," it made the believer’s faith even stronger. They said, "God is all we need, and He is the Best Protector."
(174) They returned with God's blessings and suffered no harm. They followed God's Path, and He has so much goodness to give.
(175) That's just Satan scaring his followers. So, don't be afraid of them. Instead, be fearful of Me if you believe.
(176) Don't let those who quickly turn away from faith make you sad. They can't harm God in any way, and God won't let them have any part in the good things that come after this life. They will suffer painful punishment for their actions.
(177) People who trade their faith for disbelief won't harm God either, but they will experience severe punishment for their choices.
(178) Let not the non-believers think that getting more time to enjoy themselves is good for them. We're giving them more time so they can do more wrong. But let them be ready for an embarrassing punishment.
(179) God won't leave you as you are right now. He will separate those who are not sincere from those who are sincere among you. He won't show you the future, but He chooses messengers to guide you as He wills. So, trust in God and His messengers. If you believe and act righteously, you'll receive a great reward.
(180) Those who hold back what they've been blessed with and are greedy shouldn't think it's good for them. It isn't good. On the Day of Judgment, what they kept from others will return to haunt them. Remember, God is the Ultimate Inheritor of everything in the heavens and the earth, and He knows all about your actions.
(181) Indeed, God has heard the Jews saying, "God is poor, and we are rich." We'll record what they said and how they killed the prophets without right. And We will say, “Taste the punishment of the burning Fire.”
(182) This is because of the wrong things they did, and God is never unfair to His servants.”
(183) Those same people once claimed, "We have an agreement with God that we won't believe in any messenger unless he brings us an offering burned up by fire from the sky." Ask them, "Other messengers came to you before me with clear signs and even what you requested. So why did you kill them if what you say is true?"
(184) So even if they call you a liar, they also accused previous messengers of lying. Those messengers came with clear evidence, holy books, and enlightening Scripture.
(185) Remember that everyone will eventually face death, and on Judgment Day, you'll receive your rewards according to your actions. You have won if you're saved from punishment and allowed into Paradise. Just remember, this life is temporary and full of illusions.
(186) You're going to face challenges, both in your money and life. And you will hear hurtful things from those who were given the Scripture before you and those who are idol worshippers. But if you stay patient and mindful of God, it shows how determined you are.
(187) Remember when God took the covenant from those given the Scripture. He said, “You should share it with everyone and not keep it hidden.” Instead, they ignored it, put it behind their backs, and traded it away for a small price. That was a terrible deal they made.
(188) Don't think those who take credit for things they didn't do and seek praise for it will escape torment; they will suffer a painful punishment.
(189) Remember, to God alone is the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth. He is Capable of everything.
(190) Look around you in the creation of the heavens and the earth, in the day and night cycle; there are signs for those willing to understand.
(191) Those who remember God no matter where or what they do. Those who think and wonder about the creation of the heavens and the earth and how everything has a purpose. They pray, “Our Lord, You did not create this for no reason, so protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
(192) Our Lord, those in the Fire feel embarrassed, and the wrongdoers won't have anyone to help them.
(193) Our Lord, we've heard a voice telling us to believe in You, and we have. Please forgive our mistakes, lessen our wrongdoings, and let us pass away in the company of good people.
(194) Our Lord, fulfill the promises You made through your messengers and don't let us down on the Day of Resurrection. Certainly, You never break Your Promise."
(195) So their Lord heard ˁ their heartfelt prayers ˀ and said, “I won't let any of your hard work go wasted, whether a male or a female. You're all part of one another. Those who faced challenges because of their faith or were kicked out of their homes and stood up for what they believed will find their mistakes forgiven. They'll enter stunning gardens with rivers running through them—a special gift from God, and God's gifts are the best.
(196) Don't be surprised by what the disbelievers do in the land.
(197) They might enjoy life for a little while, but eventually, they'll end up in the Hellfire—a terrible place to be.
(198) However, those who fear God will have everlasting Gardens with rivers flowing underneath. It's a gift from God, and God always rewards the righteous.
(199) Indeed, some among the People of the Book believe in God and what's been revealed to you, just like what's been revealed to them. They humble themselves before God and don't trade God's revelations for some small price. Their good things are saved up with their Lord, and God is Quick to take account.
(200) O you who believe! Be patient, encourage patience, and protect your land to prevent enemy attacks. Be mindful of God, and you'll find success.
