In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

(1) Alif, Lam, Mim.

(2) Do people believe they can just say, "We believe" without facing challenges?

(3) We have tested people like them before, and God will clarify who's honest and who is a liar.

(4) Or do the wrongdoers believe they can outsmart Us? They're wrong!

(5) Whoever is eager to meet God, the time will come. God hears and knows everything.

(6) And whoever works hard for God’s cause, it's for his own good. God doesn't need anything from the World.

(7) Those who believe in God and do good things, God will forgive their mistakes and reward them according to the best of their actions.

(8) We have commanded people to be kind to their parents. But if they tell you to worship other gods besides Me that you don't know, don't listen to them. Remember, you'll return to Me in the end, and I will inform you of everything you used to do.

(9) Those who believe and do good deeds; We will welcome them among the righteous.

(10) And some people say, "We believe in God," but when they go through tough times for God's cause, they mix up the hardships of people with God's punishment.  However, when success comes from your Lord, they suddenly declare to the believers, "We've always been on your side." Doesn't God know exactly what's in everyone's hearts?

(11) God will certainly make clear who truly believes and who pretends to believe.

(12) Those who don't believe will tell believers, "Follow our way, and we'll carry your sins." But they cannot carry their sins; they're lying.

(13) Instead, everyone will have to deal with their actions, carrying both their burdens and extra ones. And on the Day of Resurrection, they'll be asked about the things they made up.

(14) We sent Noah to his people, and he stayed with them for a thousand years minus fifty. But eventually, a massive flood wiped them out because they kept doing wrong things.

(15) But We saved him and everyone on the Ark, making it a unique sign for all people.

(16) And remember when Abraham told his people, "Worship God and be good. That's the best thing for you if you only knew.

(17) What you worship besides God are nothing but idols, and what you do is simply lies. The idols you pray to can't provide for you. So, depend on God for everything, worship Him, and show gratitude. Eventually, you will all go back to Him."

(18) If you don't believe, so did many people in the past didn't believe either. The Messenger's job is to share the message.

(19) Have you ever noticed how God starts the whole creation process and does it over again? It's really easy for God to do that.

(20) Say, "Go and explore the world, and see how God created everything. Then, God will bring a new life after this one. Indeed, God is Capable of everything.

(21) He punishes whoever He chooses and shows mercy to whoever He chooses. And you will all eventually go back to Him.

(22) You can't run away from God, whether on earth or in the sky. You don't have anyone besides God to protect or help you.”

(23) Those who don't believe in God's signs and the meeting with Him will have no hope in His mercy. They'll experience a painful punishment.

(24) But Abraham's people's only response was to say, "Kill him or burn him!" But God saved him from the fire. These are special signs for those who have faith.

(25) He said to his people, "You're worshiping idols instead of God just to get along in this world. But remember, on Resurrection Day, you'll turn against each other and curse one another. The Fire will be your home, and there won't be anyone to save you!"

(26) Then Lot believed in him, and Abraham said, "I'm emigrating to my Lord. Indeed, He's All-Powerful and All-Wise."

(27) After that, We blessed Abraham with Isaac and later Jacob. We made his descendants prophets and gave them the Book. And We rewarded Abraham in this life, and he'll be with the good people in the afterlife.

(28) And remember when Lot once scolded the guys in his community, saying, "You're doing a disgraceful thing that no one has ever done before.

(29) Do you lust after other men, abuse the travelers, and practice shameful acts openly when you get together?" But his people just said, " Then let God punish us if you're telling the truth."

(30) Lot prayed, "My Lord, help me against those corrupters."

(31) And when Our messenger angels visited Abraham to share the happy news about Isaac's upcoming birth, they mentioned, "We're planning to punish the people of this town because they've been doing a lot of wrong things."

(32) Abraham said, "But Lot is there." They replied, "We know who's there. We'll save Lot and his family, except his wife; she'll be one of those who get punished."

(33) And when Our messengers went to Lot, he worried about them and felt sad. They told him, "Don't be scared or sad. We will save you and your family, but not your wife. She will be in trouble with the others.

(34) We will send a punishment from the sky to the people of this city because they did terrible things."

(35) And We've left a clear sign of what happened there for people who think.

(36) And to the people of Midian, We sent their brother Shuaib. He said, "O my people!  Worship God, seek the reward of the Last Day, and don't spread corruption in the land."

(37) But they didn't listen to him, and then a massive earthquake hit, and they all died in their houses.

(38) And the people of A'ad and Thamud faced the same consequences, as you Meccans can see from their ruins. The devil tempted them into doing bad things, diverting them from the Right Path, even though they could see the Right Way.

(39) And there were people like Korah, Pharaoh, and Haman. And indeed, Moses came to them with clear signs, but they acted proudly in their land. They couldn't escape the consequences.

(40) So, We punished people for their wrongdoings. Some We hit them by a stone storm, a powerful blast struck some, some We made the earth swallow, and some drowned. God did not wrong them, but they were the ones who wronged themselves.

(41) The example of those who take protectors other than God is like a spider building a house. And the weakest house is undoubtedly that of a spider. If only they realized this!

(42) God knows about everything people worship besides Him. He is Incredibly Powerful and Wise.

(43) We give these examples to help people understand, but only those of knowledge can genuinely grasp their meaning.

(44) God created the heavens and the earth with truth. This is a sign for those who believe.

(45) Recite what has been revealed to you of the Book and pray regularly. Indeed, praying helps you avoid doing bad things and making mistakes. Remembering God is even greater, and God knows everything you do.

(46) And only argue with the People of the Book if it's done respectfully, except with those who do wrong. Tell them, "We believe in what was revealed to us and you. Our God is the same, and we fully submit to Him."

(47) And We've given you this Book, and the people who were given the Scripture believe in it. And some of the people of the Book also believe in it now. Only those who are stubborn don't believe in Our revelations.

(48) O Prophet! Before this Quran, you couldn't read or write anything at all. If you could, the people who follow false beliefs would have been suspicious.

(49) But these are clear messages in the hearts of those who know. And only wrongdoers deny Our revelations.

(50) And they say, "If only some miracles were sent down to him from his Lord?" Say, "Miracles come from God alone, and I'm just here to give a clear warning."

(51) Isn't it enough that We gave you the Book recited to them? This Quran is a mercy and reminder for believers.

(52) Say, "God is enough as a witness between you and me. He knows everything in the heavens and the earth. Those who believe in lies and reject God are the ones who lose out."

(53) And they ask you to bring on the punishment quickly. They would have been punished right away if there wasn't a specific time set for it. But it will be a big surprise for them when the punishment comes.

(54) They keep asking you to speed up the punishment. Hell will undoubtedly surround the disbelievers.

(55) On the Day when punishment will come from above and below their feet, God will say, "Taste what you used to do!

(56) O My believing servants! My earth is big, so worship only Me."

(57) Everyone will face death one day, and then you'll return to God.

(58) Those who believe and do good things will be rewarded with lovely mansions in Paradise, with rivers flowing underneath, and they'll live there forever. What an excellent reward for those who do good things!

(59) Those who are patient and trust in their Lord.

(60) Have you ever wondered about animals that struggle to find food? God takes care of them, just like He takes care of you. Indeed, He knows everything and hears everything.

(61) If you ask people who created the heavens and the earth and subjected the sun and the moon for you, they'd say it's God. So, how can they forget the truth?

(62) God gives some people a lot of provisions, while He gives a little to others. Indeed, God knows everything.

(63) If you ask them who sends rain from the sky and makes the earth come alive, they'd say it's God. Say, "Praise be to God." But many don't understand.

(64) Life on earth is like a game or having fun, but the real deal is indeed in the Hereafter if only they knew.

(65) Then, when they are on a ship during a storm, they call God for help. But once they are safe on land, they forget and pray to others instead of God.

(66) So, let them ignore the blessings God has given them and have a good time for now. They'll realize the truth soon.

(67) Can't they see that We've made 'Mecca' a safe sanctuary while others nearby are snatched away? Do they believe in lies and don't appreciate God's blessings?

(68) Who does more wrong than those who lie about God or reject the truth even after hearing it? Isn't there a place in Hell for those who don't believe?

(69) Those who work hard for Our cause, We'll show them Our Way, and God is always with those who do good things.
