In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
(1) Tta, Sin, Mim.
(2) These are the Verses of the clarifying Book.
(3) O Prophet! You might feel upset and sad to death because some people won't believe.
(4) If We wanted, We could have sent a big sign from the heavens that would make them bow down to it in complete submission.
(5) But whenever they hear a new message from the Most Merciful, they ignore it.
(6) They won't believe it, but what they made fun of will eventually catch up with them.
(7) Have they ever noticed how many beautiful and diverse plants We have caused to grow on earth?
(8) There's a sign in that, but most don't believe.
(9) And your Lord is Very Powerful and Most Merciful.
(10) Remember when your Lord called Moses, "Go talk to wrongdoing people.
(11) The people of Pharaoh, ask them to be good and fear God."
(12) Moses said, "My Lord! I'm afraid they won't believe me,
(13) My heart breaks, and I won't be able to speak. So, can you send Aaron as a messenger with me?
(14) And they've accused me of something wrong, and I'm scared they might kill me."
(15) God said, "No worries, both of you go to Pharaoh with Our amazing miracles. We're here, listening with you.
(16) Go to Pharaoh and tell him, 'We are the Messengers of the Lord of the Worlds.
(17) And it is God’s command that you send the Children of Israel with us.'”
(18) Pharaoh said, "Haven't we raised you since you were a child, and you stayed with us for many years?
(19) And you did what you did, being completely ungrateful!"
(20) Moses explained, "I made those mistakes when I didn't know any better.
(21) So, I ran away because I was scared of you, but then my Lord gave me wisdom and chose me as one of His messengers.
(22) And how could you call it a 'favor' that you're reminding me of when all you did was make the children of Israel your slaves?
(23) Pharaoh asked, "And what is the Lord of the Worlds?"
(24) Moses answered, "He's the Lord of the heavens, the earth, and everything in between. If only you had real faith."
(25) Pharaoh asked those around him, "Do you hear what he's saying?"
(26) Moses said, "He's your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors."
(27) Pharaoh sarcastically remarked, "Your messenger seems out of his mind, thinking he's been sent to you."
(28) Moses explained, "He's the Lord of the East, the West, and everything in between, if you understand."
(29) Pharaoh warned, "If you take a god beside me, I'll put you in prison."
(30) Moses said, "What if I show you a clear proof?"
(31) Pharaoh challenged, "Sure, show us if you are truthful."
(32) So, Moses threw his staff, and it turned into a giant snake right before their eyes.
(33) Then, he pulled his hand out of his sleeve, which was glowing white for everyone to see.
(34) Pharaoh told his advisors, "This guy is indeed a powerful magician.
(35) He's trying to use magic to take over your land. What should we do?"
(36) They decided, "Let's put off dealing with him for now. Send people to other cities to see what they think.
(37) And let them find the best magicians for you.”
(38) So, the magicians got together for a meeting on a famous day.
(39) And they asked the people, “Are you joining the crowd today?”
(40) Some people wanted to see if the magicians would win and said, "Maybe we'll follow them."
(41) And when the magicians arrived, they asked Pharaoh, "Will we get a prize if we win?"
(42) Pharaoh said, "Absolutely! And you'll become one of my closest friends."
(43) Moses told them, "Go ahead and throw your magic tricks."
(44) They threw their ropes and sticks, saying, "By the power of Pharaoh, we're the winners!"
(45) Then Moses threw his staff, which ate up their tricks.
(46) The magicians fell to the ground in complete submission.
(47) They said, "We believe in the Lord of the Worlds.
(48) The Lord of Moses and Aaron.”
(49) Pharaoh got mad and said, "How dare you believe in him without taking my permission first? He's your master who taught you magic. You'll see. I'll punish you by cutting off your hands and feet from opposite sides, and I'll crucify all of you."
(50) They replied, "No problem! We are all definitely going to return to our Lord in the end.
(51) We hope our Lord will forgive our mistakes because we were the first to believe."
(52) And We inspired Moses, saying, “Leave with My servants at night because you are being chased."
(53) Then Pharaoh sent his soldiers to the cities.
(54) He said, “These outcasts are just a small group, and
(55) They have made us very angry.
(56) And all of us need to stay on guard."
(57) So, God made them leave beautiful gardens and water springs.
(58) And treasures, and a fancy house.
(59) Then We gave all that to the Children of Israel.
(60) The soldiers chased the Children of Israel at sunrise.
(61) When the two groups saw each other, Moses' followers said, "They caught up with us!"
(62) Moses said, "No, my Lord is with me; He will guide me."
(63) Then God told Moses, "Strike the sea with your staff." So, it split into two giant parts, like two mountains.
(64) Pharaoh and his soldiers got closer.
(65) And We saved Moses and those with him.
(66) Then, We drowned the others underwater.
(67) That is a clear sign, but most people still don't believe.
(68) And your Lord is All-Powerful and Most Merciful.
(69) Now, tell them, O Prophet, the story of Abraham.
(70) When he asked his father and people, "What are you worshipping beside God?"
(71) They replied, "We worship idols and stay loyal to them."
(72) Abraham argued, "Can those idols even hear you when you call them?
(73) Do they do anything good or bad for you?"
(74) They said, "This is what our ancestors did."
(75) Abraham asked, "Did you ever think about what you're praying to?
(76) You and your ancestors?
(77) I'm telling you, they're my enemies, except for the Lord of the whole World.
(78) The One Who created me, and He alone guides me.
(79) The One Who gives me food and drink.
(80) And when I'm sick, He makes me better.
(81) The One Who lets me die and brings me back to life.
(82) The One, I hope He'll forgive my mistakes on Judgment Day.”
(83) He prayed, “My Lord, please give me wisdom and let me be with the good people.
(84) Make me have a good reputation in the future.
(85) Let me be in the Garden of Bliss when I die.
(86) Forgive my father; he is misguided.
(87) Don't embarrass me on the Day everyone rises from the dead.
(88) The Day, money, and children won't help.
(89) Except for those who return to God with a clean heart.”
(90) And Paradise will be brought close to those who are good-hearted and God-fearing.
(91) And Hellfire will be displayed to the wicked.
(92) They'll be asked, "Where are the gods you used to worship?
(93) Can they help you or even help themselves?"
(94) So, they and the deceivers will be thrown into Hell.
(95) And all of Satan's followers.
(96) They'll argue in it, saying,
(97) “By God, we were in clear error.
(98) When we made you equal to the Lord of the Worlds.
(99) And no one misled us except the sinners.
(100) Now, no one can help us.
(101) Not even a close friend.
(102) Only if we can go back to live again and be believers.”
(103) There's a lesson here, but many people still don't believe.
(104) And your Lord is All-powerful and Most Merciful.
(105) The people of Noah rejected the messengers,
(106) When their brother Noah said, “Will you not fear God?
(107) I'm a trustworthy messenger from God to you.
(108) So, fear God and obey me.
(109) I'm not asking for money. My reward comes only from God, the Lord of all Worlds.
(110) So, fear God and obey me.”
(111) They questioned, "How can we trust in you when only the least important people follow you?"
(112) He answered, "How would I know what they're up to?
(113) God will be the judge if you've got any sense!
(114) And I won't send away those who believe in God.
(115) I am only sent with a clear warning.”
(116) They threatened him, saying, "Stop or we'll stone you to death, Noah!"
(117) Noah prayed, "My Lord! My people have rejected me.
(118) So, judge between me and them, and save me and the people who believe with me.”
(119) So, We saved him and those with him in the fully loaded Ark.
(120) After that, We made everyone else drown.
(121) There's a clear sign in this, but most don't believe.
(122) And your Lord is All-Powerful and Most Merciful.
(123) The people of A'ad rejected the messengers,
(124) When their brother Hud said, "Are you not afraid of God?
(125) I'm a trustworthy messenger to you.
(126) So, fear God and obey me
(127) I'm not asking for any money for this. My reward comes from the Lord of the Worlds.
(128) Do you build fancy things for fun, even on high hills?
(129) And you build castles, thinking you'll live forever.
(130) And when you fight, you fight like bullies.
(131) So, be afraid of God and obey me.
(132) And be afraid of the One Who gave you everything you have.
(133) He gave you animals and children.
(134) And gardens and water springs.
(135) I'm scared that you'll be punished big time one Day."
(136) They said, "We don't care if you give us advice or not. It is all the same to us.
(137) It's just what our elders passed things down to us.
(138) And we won't get punished."
(139) They didn't believe in him, so We destroyed them. This is a clear sign. But sadly, most of them still would not believe.
(140) And your Lord is All-Powerful and Most Merciful.
(141) The People of Thamud also rejected the messengers.
(142) When their brother Salih said, "Are you not scared of God?
(143) I'm a trustworthy messenger to you.
(144) So, be afraid of God and obey me.
(145) I'm not asking for any money for this. My reward comes from the Lord of the Worlds.
(146) Do you think you can live here in peace forever?
(147) In fancy gardens and near water springs?
(148) And fields with palm trees that have sweet fruit?
(149) And you build houses in the mountains so skillfully?
(150) So, be afraid of God and listen to me.
(151) And don't listen to the wrong things that some people tell you to do.
(152) Those who mess up the world and don't try to make it better.”
(153) They said, "You're just under a spell!
(154) And you're just a regular person like us. If you're really special, prove it with a miracle."
(155) He replied, "Here's a special she-camel. She gets to drink water on one day, and you also get water on your special day.
(156) Don't hurt the camel, or you'll be punished big time."
(157) But they killed her, and then they felt sorry for what they did.
(158) As a result, they faced a terrible punishment. There's a lesson in this, but most people would not believe.
(159) And your Lord is All-Powerful and Most Merciful.
(160) The people of Lot also rejected the messengers.
(161) When their brother Lot said, "Are you not scared of God?
(162) Indeed, I'm a trustworthy messenger to you.
(163) So, be afraid of God and obey me.
(164) And I'm not asking for any reward. My reward is with the Lord of the Worlds.
(165) Do you lust after men of the world
(166) Instead of being with the wives God created for you? You are certainly going off limits.”
(167) They warned, "If you don't stop Lot, we'll kick you out!"
(168) Lot said, "I hate what you're doing.
(169) My Lord, please protect me and my family from their actions."
(170) So, We saved Lot and his family,
(171) except for an old woman who stayed behind and was one of the doomed.
(172) Then We destroyed the rest.
(173) And We rained upon them a terrible rain. How awful was the rain of those who were warned!
(174) This story has a lesson, but most people would not believe.
(175) And your Lord is All-Powerful and Most Merciful.
(176) The people in the Woods rejected the messengers too.
(177) When Shuaib told them, "Aren't you afraid of God?
(178) Indeed, I'm a trustworthy messenger to you.
(179) So, fear God and obey me.
(180) And I'm not asking you for any money. My reward comes only from the Lord of the worlds.
(181) Be honest when you measure things, don't cheat.
(182) And use a fair scale when you weigh things.
(183) Don't steal from others or cause trouble in the land.
(184) And fear the One Who created you and the people who came before you.”
(185) The people said, "You're indeed under a spell!
(186) And you're just a regular person like us, and we think you are a liar.
(187) And if you're telling the truth, make the sky fall on us in pieces!"
(188) He replied, "God knows what you're up to."
(189) So, they rejected him, and then a huge punishment hit them on the day of the dark cloud. It was a massive punishment on that scary day.
(190) There's a lesson in this, but many people would not believe.
(191) And your Lord is All-Powerful and Most Merciful.
(192) And this message is, indeed, from the Lord of all people.
(193) A trustworthy messenger brought it.
(194) He placed it in your heart so you can share its warning.
(195) And it is written in clear Arabic tongue.
(196) It's also foretold in the old Scriptures of those before you.
(197) Isn't it a clear sign that even the scholars among the Children of Israel knew this was true?
(198) And had We given this message to someone who doesn't speak Arabic,
(199) And that person recited it perfectly to those who don't believe, they still wouldn't believe in it!
(200) That is how We put it in the hearts of the wrongdoers.
(201) They won't believe until they see the painful punishment.
(202) Suddenly, it will come to them when they least expect it.
(203) Then they will ask for more time.
(204) Do they want Our punishment to come sooner?
(205) Imagine if We let them enjoy life for a few more years.
(206) Then, what they were warned about happened to them.
(207) What good will their past pleasures do for them then?
(208) And We have never destroyed a society without sending warnings first.
(209) Just a reminder, for We would never do anything unfair to anyone.
(210) And this Quran was not revealed by devils.
(211) It is not for them to do that, and they are incapable of it.
(212) They're completely forbidden from hearing any of it.
(213) So don't worship any other god along with God, or you will be among the punished.
(214) And warn your family and those close to you.
(215) And be kind to those who believe and follow you.
(216) If they disobey you, say, “I am indeed free of what you do.”
(217) Trust in the Almighty, the Merciful One.
(218) The One Who sees you when you wake up and when you pray.
(219) And He Who knows when you bow and prostrate in prayer.
(220) He is, indeed, the Hearer, the Knowledgeable One.
(221) Do you know who evil spirits target?
(222) They go after people who lie and do bad things.
(223) They try to eavesdrop on the heavens, but most are liars.
(224) And the poets are often followed by those who do not do the right things.
(225) Have you noticed that they go in all sorts of directions,
(226) And they don't always do what they promise?
(227) Except for those who believe, do good deeds, pray a lot, and stand up for themselves when mistreated. The wrongdoers will soon learn the hard way about the trouble they're heading into.
