In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

(1) Blessed is the One Who sent down the Standard to His servant so that he warns all of humanity.

(2) The One Who owns everything in the heavens and the earth. He didn't have a son or share His power with anyone. He created everything and arranged it perfectly.

(3) But they have taken gods other than Him who can't create anything, and they, themselves, were created. These made-up gods can't help or harm anyone, and they can't control life, death, or resurrection.

(4) People who don't believe in this message say, "This Quran is just a made-up lie, and he had help from others in making it up." But indeed, they have said something untrue and unfair.

(5) They also claim, "These are just stories from the past, and he wrote them down, and they were rehearsed to him every morning and evening."

(6) But tell them, "This message came from the One Who knows all the heavens and earth secrets. He is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

(7) They mockingly question, "Why does this messenger eat food and wander the marketplaces? It would be better if an angel warned people alongside him.

(8) Or only if he was given a treasure or a fantastic garden to enjoy. You're just following someone who's under a spell."

(9) Look at the crazy stories they make up about you. They're lost and can't figure their way out.

(10) Blessed is the One; if He wanted, He could create something even more amazing for you, like beautiful Gardens with rivers running underneath and castles.

(11) Those people don't believe in the Hour, and We have prepared a blazing Fire for those who do not believe in the Hour.

(12) When they see the fiery punishment from far away, they'll hear it roaring and blazing.

(13) And when they get thrown into it, they'll be chained up in a tight spot and cry, wanting to be destroyed.

(14) They will be told, “Don't cry one time today, but cry many times over!”

(15) Tell them, “Would you rather be in a never-ending awesome paradise or suffer in a fiery place? That's the reward for being good, and it's pretty amazing!”

(16) Those good people in Paradise get everything they want, and they get to enjoy it forever. That's a promise from your Lord, and He keeps His word.

(17) Think about a Day when God will gather people and what they worshipped instead of Him. God will ask those objects of worship, "Did you lead My servants astray, or did they go off track on their own?"

(18) They will respond, "Glory be to You! We should've never worshipped any lords but You. But You made them and their fathers enjoy the worldly pleasures for a long time until they forgot about You and were doomed."

(19) God will say to those who worshiped idols, "Your gods have rejected your claims. Now, you can't escape the punishment or get any help. Whoever among you commits injustice, We will make him taste a terrible punishment.”

(20) Every messenger before you, O Prophet, was a regular man—they ate and wondered in marketplaces.  And We've made some of you a test for others. So, can you be patient? Your Lord is All-Seeing.

(21) Those who do not expect to meet Us say, "If only angels were sent to us, or we see our Lord right now?" Their pride has taken over, and they've gone way too far.

(22) Imagine a Day when they see angels at the moment of passing. There won't be any good news for those who have done wrong. The angels will sadly say, "Now. Paradise is forbidden for you."

(23) The good things people did during their lives will be taken and scattered like fine dust.

(24) Those in Paradise will have a great time and a comfy place that Day.

(25) And picture a Day when the sky splits open and is filled with clouds, and angels descend in groups, one after another.

(26) On that special Day, the ultimate and true authority belongs only to God, and it will be hard for those who don't believe.

(27) And watch out for a Day when people who have made mistakes will feel sorry and even bite their hands in regret, saying, "I wish I had followed the Messenger's Way."

(28) They will say, "Woe to me! I wish I hadn't taken such and such as a close friend.

(29) He led me away from the Reminder after it came to me.” And Satan always betrays people.

(30) And the Messenger has cried, "O my Lord! My people have indeed turned their backs on this Quran."

(31) God chooses enemies for every prophet, from the wicked ones, but your Lord is there to guide and help.

(32) The disbelievers said, "Why didn't the Quran just come all at once?" But We have sent it bit by bit to strengthen your heart.

(33) And whenever they bring you an argument, We provide you with the truth and better explanations.

(34) Those who will end up facing Hell and dragged in on their faces are in the worst place and far from the Right Path.

(35) We gave Moses the Book and his brother Aaron was there to help him out.

(36) Then We told them, "Go to the people who didn't believe in Our signs," and We destroyed those people altogether.

(37) And when Noah's people didn't listen to the messengers, We drowned them and made them a sign for people so others could learn from it. And We've got a harsh punishment ready for the wrongdoers.

(38) The people of A'ad, Thamud, those living near the well, and many others were also wiped out by Us.

(39) We gave examples as warnings to all of them, and none of them survived.

(40) They went by the city 'Of Sodom,' which was hit by a terrible rain of stones. Have they seen how messed up it is now? But they don't think they'll be resurrected.

(41) And when they see you, they make fun of you and ask, "Is this the Messenger God sent?"

(42) They say, "He almost fooled us away from our beliefs, but our strong devotion saved us.” But they'll figure it out when they see the punishment who's lost.

(43) Have you seen someone who treats their desires like a god? Are you going to be their guardian?

(44) Do you think most people pay attention or understand what's happening? They're just like animals, or even worse, they've lost their way from the Right Path!

(45) Have you ever noticed how God spreads the shade? He could have kept it still, but instead, He lets the sun guide it,

(46) Making the shadow move away slowly.

(47) And it is He Who created the night as a cover, made you sleep to rest and made the day for you to rise.

(48) He sends the wind, and that's a sign of His Mercy. And He brings down pure rain from the sky.

(49) Giving life to dry places and many animals and people of Our creation.

(50) We give it to them so they remember, but many folks don't appreciate it.

(51) If We wanted to, We could have easily sent someone to warn every group of people.

(52) Don't let those who don't believe influence you; instead, work hard against them with the guidance of this Quran.

(53) And He is the One Who brings together two types of water—one that's fresh and tasty and the other that's salty and bitter. He puts a barrier between them so they can't mix.

(54) And He is the One Who created human beings from a humble liquid, then brings them together in families and marriages. Your Lord is Incredibly Powerful.

(55) But they worship things other than God, which don't help or hurt them. And those who don't believe always work together against their Lord.

(56) And We have sent you only to share good news and warn people.

(57) Say, “I don't ask for any payment in return for telling you about God. Whoever wants, let him take a path to his Lord."

(58) Trust the Ever-Living, Who never dies, and glorify Him with your praises. He is Well Aware of the sins of His servants, and that's enough.

(59) He is the One Who created the heavens, the earth, and everything in between in six days, then settled Himself on the Throne. He's the Most Merciful. If you're wondering about Him, go ahead and ask the All-Knowledgeable.

(60) And when it is said to them, "Bow to the Most Merciful," they react with disgust, asking, "Who's this Most Merciful? Are we supposed to bow down to whatever you tell us?" And this only makes them more rebellious.

(61) Blessed is the One Who put stars, a shining lamp, and a bright moon in the sky!

(62) And He is the One Who makes day and night switch, an excellent sign for anyone who wants to think and be grateful.

(63) Those who genuinely serve the Most Merciful are the ones who stay humble while walking on this earth. Even when others act foolishly and speak rudely, they respond with peace.

(64) Those who spend a portion of the night in prayer, bowing down and standing before their Lord.

(65) And those who pray, "Our Lord, save us from the harsh punishment of Hell because it's indeed tough.

(66) It's a dreadful place to end up."

(67) And those who, when they spend, are not careless with their money, nor too stingy, but find a balance in between.

(68) And those who do not worship other gods besides God, never take a life unjustly, nor commit fornication. Those who don't follow these rules will be punished.

(69) On Judgment Day, their punishment will be doubled, and they'll be stuck in a humiliating situation forever.

(70) However, if you turn back to God, believe, and do good things, your past sins will be turned into good deeds. God is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

(71) And if you repent and start doing good things, you've turned to God in the Right Way.

(72) And they are those who don't lie when giving testimony. And when they see falsehood, they walk away with honor.

(73) These are the ones who, when reminded of what God has revealed, don't ignore it or pretend not to hear.

(74) Those who pray, "Our Lord! Bless us with good spouses and children who make our hearts happy and help us set a good example for the good-hearted people."

(75) They will be rewarded with high-raised mansions in Paradise because they are patient and kind. They will be warmly welcomed with lots of love and greetings of peace.

(76) They'll live there forever. What a beautiful and peaceful home to settle in!

(77) Tell them, O Prophet, "Just so you know, if it were not for your prayer, you would not matter much to your Lord.  But because you're turning away from the truth, prepare for what is coming.”
