In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
(1) The Day when all people will be judged is getting closer, but they ignore it.
(2) Whenever a new message from their Lord comes to them, they playfully treat it like a joke.
(3) They let their hearts wander away, and the wrongdoers whispered among themselves, asking, "Isn't this Prophet just like you? Why are you falling for this sorcery, especially when it's obvious?"
(4) The prophet replied, "My Lord knows everything that happens in the heavens and the earth. He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing."
(5) But indeed, they said, "He's just making things up," "He's a poet," and "Why doesn't he show us a miracle like the ones given to people in the past?"
(6) But look, none of the cities that rejected the messages of God's messengers before believed either. Will they be any different?
(7) We sent messengers before you, O Prophet, and they were just regular people inspired by Us just like We've sent you. If you're unsure, ask those who know and understand the Scriptures.
(8) The prophets We sent weren't superhuman or immortal; they still needed to eat.
(9) Then We have kept Our promise to them, saved the ones We chose, and those who refused to believe and lived recklessly, We destroyed them.
(10) We've given you a Book with glory for you. Have you thought about it?
(11) Think about how many times We have wiped out groups of bad people, only to give a fresh start to others afterward!
(12) Then, when they realized that Our punishment was on its way, they hurriedly fled their cities.
(13) They were told, "Don't run away! Return to your comfortable homes, and prepare for questions about what's coming your way."
(14) They said, "Oh no! We were so wrong."
(15) They kept saying this until We brought them down like a harvest and put out their fire.
(16) And We didn't create the earth, the heavens, and everything in between just for fun.
(17) If We wanted to play, We could have quickly done that whenever We wanted.
(18) Instead, We throw the truth at lies, crushing them until they disappear. And Woe be to you for what you describe.
(19) Everyone in the heavens and the earth belongs to God. Those close to Him aren't too proud to worship Him and don't tire.
(20) They praise Him day and night without getting exhausted.
(21) Or have they taken earthly gods that can bring the dead back to life?
(22) If other gods existed in the heavens and the earth, everything would have fallen apart. So, glory be to God, the Lord of the Throne, above what they claim.
(23) God doesn't have to explain Himself, but they must answer for their actions.
(24) Have they chosen other gods besides God? Say, "Show your proof. This is my message and the message of those before me." But most don't know the truth, so they turn away.
(25) We never sent a messenger before you without telling them, "There is no God but Me; worship Me alone."
(26) And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken a son." Glory be to Him. That's not true; they are honored servants.
(27) They don't speak on their own; they follow God's commands.
(28) God knows everything about their past and future; they can only intervene with His permission. They feel a sense of awe and respect for Him.
(29) If anyone among them claims to be a god besides God, they will face the consequences in Hell. That's how We reward the wrongdoers.
(30) Haven't the disbelievers ever thought about how the sky and earth were once a single mass, and God split them apart? God creates every living thing from water. So, why won't they believe?
(31) And We placed firm mountains in the earth so that it does not shake with them and provided paths and roads so that they could find their way.
(32) We made the sky like a protective roof, but some ignore its amazing wonders.
(33) And He created the night, the day, the sun, and the moon, and each swims in their own orbit.
(34) And We have never granted eternal life to anyone before you. So, if you were to die, would others live on forever?
(35) Everyone will face death. We test you with good and bad situations to see how you will respond. In the end, you all return to Us.
(36) And when those who don't believe see you, they make fun of you, saying, "Is this the one who talks about your gods?" And the Most Merciful is mentioned, they don't believe.
(37) People were created impatient, but I'll show you My signs, so don't rush Me.
(38) And they ask, "When will this threat come true if you're telling the truth?"
(39) If only the non-believers knew that a time would come when they would be helpless, unable to keep the Fire off their faces and backs.
(40) Instead, it will catch them by surprise, and they won't be able to avoid it or find any relief.
(41) Other messengers were made fun of in the past, just like you, O Prophet. But the ones who teased them ended up facing the very things they made fun of.
(42) Ask them, "Who can protect you day and night from the Most Merciful." But when their Lord is mentioned, they turn away.
(43) Or do they have gods that can protect them from Us? They can't even help themselves or get any help against Us.
(44) But indeed, We granted these people and their ancestors the good things in life until their time ran out. Don't they see how the land shrinks from its edges? So, will they ultimately come out on top?
(45) Say, "I'm just here to give you a warning through divine messages." But those who are deaf don't listen to the message when they are warned. 'even though it's loud and clear.'"
(46) And when they face even a tiny taste of your Lord’s punishment, they'll say, "Oh no! We were so wrong big time."
(47) And on the Day of Judgment, We're setting up the scales of justice to be fair. No one will be mistreated, not even a tiny bit. If you did something as small as a mustard seed, We will bring it up. As Reckoners, We are Capable of keeping track of everything.
(48) And We gave Moses and Aaron the standard to know right from wrong—a light and a reminder for those who do good.
(49) Those who deeply respect their Lord, even though they can't see Him, are scared of the Hour.
(50) And this Quran is a Blessed Reminder that We sent to guide you. Are you going to ignore it?
(51) And We had given Abraham good judgment early in life and knew him well.
(52) When he asked his father and his folks, "What's the deal with being so attached to these statues?"
(53) They answered, "Our parents were into worshipping these, so we're just following their tradition."
(54) Abraham replied, "Indeed, you and your ancestors have been going the wrong way."
(55) They questioned, "Are you here to tell us the truth, or are you just joking around?"
(56) He answered, "Actually, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth Who created them, and I testify to that.
(57) And I swear, I will mess with your idols once you're gone."
(58) So, he smashed all of them into pieces, except the largest one, hoping they would seek answers from it.
(59) They said, "Who did this to our gods? It's the work of some troublemaker."
(60) Someone mentioned, "We overheard a young boy named Abraham talking about them."
(61) They decided, "Let's bring Abraham in front of everyone so that they may be witnesses."
(62) They asked, "Did you break our idols, Abraham?"
(63) Abraham replied, "Nope, it was the big one over there. Ask them if they can talk!"
(64) So, they said to themselves, "You guys are so wrong.”
(65) Then, they quickly returned to their old way of thinking, arguing, "You already know those idols can't talk."
(66) He scolded them, “Then, why worship things that can't benefit or harm you in any way instead of God?
(67) Shame on you and whatever you worship instead of God? Don't you think about it?"
(68) They concluded, "Set him on fire to seek revenge for your gods if you want to do something."
(69) We said, "O fire! Be cool and calm for Abraham."
(70) They wanted to harm him, but We made them the biggest losers.
(71) And We rescued him, Lot, and led them to a blessed land for everyone to enjoy.
(72) And blessed him with Isaac and Jacob, and they grew up to be truly good people.
(73) We made them leaders, guiding them with Our teachings. We inspired them to do good deeds, pray, and help needy people. They were dedicated to serving Us.
(74) And We gave Lot wisdom and knowledge, saving him from a wicked city filled with disobedient and evil people.
(75) And We admitted him into Our mercy because he was one of the righteous.
(76) Noah, too, called out to Us, and We answered. We saved him and his family from a terrible disaster.
(77) And stood with him against those who ignored Our signs. They were evil people, so We got rid of them by drowning them all.
(78) David and Solomon had to make a judgment about some sheep that had gone missing from a field one night. We saw how they handled it.
(79) So, We helped Solomon figure out the case and gave both knowledge and fair judgment. We even made the mountains and birds sing praises with David. We made it all happen.
(80) We also taught Solomon how to make shields for your safety in battles. So, shouldn't you be grateful?
(81) To Solomon, We granted control over a mighty wind, which blew at his command, carrying him wherever he desired in the blessed land. And We know everything.
(82) And We made some jinn go underwater for him and do other tasks. We were the Ones Who had them under control.
(83) Job went through a really tough time and called out to his Lord, saying, “I have been indeed touched by harm, and you're the Most Merciful of all."
(84) So, We heard him and made things better, taking away his pain and reuniting him with his family and their like with them. It was Our way of showing mercy and reminding people to worship.
(85) Ishmael, Enoch, and Dhul-Kifl were also patient persons.
(86) We admitted them into Our mercy because they were among the good-hearted people.
(87) And Jonah. He got furious one day, stormed off, and thought that We could not stop him. But then, in the dark belly of the whale, he shouted, "There is no god worthy of worship except You! Glory be to You! Certainly, I have done a wrong thing."
(88) So, We heard Jonah's cry and rescued him from all the trouble. That's how We rescue those who believe.
(89) And Zechariah. He prayed to God, saying, "Please don't let me remain childless, even though You're the Best at taking care of things."
(90) So, We granted his wish and gave him a son named John and blessed his wife with the ability to have children. Indeed, they always tried to do good things quickly and prayed to Us with hope and fear, showing complete humility.
(91) And the woman who protected her purity. So, through Our Spirit, the angel Gabriel, We breathed life into her. Now, she and her son are a unique sign for people everywhere.
(92) Truly, your faith is one faith, and I am your Lord, so worship Me.
(93) But they divided their faith into different factions. Everyone will return to Us in the end.
(94) So, whoever does good deeds as a believer, his efforts won't be wasted. We keep a record of them.
(95) And once We destroy a place, it can never return.
(96) Until when Gog and Magog break free from their barrier and come rushing down from every hill.
(97) The promised time is getting closer, and then those who didn't believe will be shocked, saying, "Oh no, we ignored this. We were in the wrong."
(98) Certainly, you and everything else you worship instead of God will end up as fuel in hell, and that's where you're headed.
(99) They wouldn't face this fate if these were real gods. But, in reality, they're all stuck in there forever.
(100) In that place, they'll groan and won't hear anything at all.
(101) Certainly, those whom God has chosen for the best reward will be kept far from Hell.
(102) They won't have to listen to any of the horrible sounds, and they'll get to enjoy whatever they wish for forever.
(103) The Biggest Day of Horror won't be scary for them, and the angels will say, "This is the Day that you were promised!"
(104) On the Day, We roll up the sky like closing a book. Just like We made everything the first time, We will do it again. It's a promise We'll keep.
(105) And We've written in the Scriptures, after the Heavenly Record, that My righteous servants will inherit the earth.
(106) This Quran has a message for those who worship and seek guidance.
(107) We only sent you, O Prophet, as a Mercy for all humanity.
(108) Say, “It has been revealed to me that your God is Only One God. Will you then submit?”
(109) If they turn away, tell them, "I've told everyone the same thing. I do not know if the trouble ahead of you is near or far.
(110) God knows both your public words and your secret thoughts.
(111) I can't say if this is a trial for you or a brief pleasure."
(112) He said, "God, be the fair judge between us. Our Lord is the Merciful One, Whose help is what we seek against what you claim."
