In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
(1) Ta, Ha.
(2) We didn't give you the Quran to make your life difficult.
(3) It's just a reminder for those who fear God.
(4) A revelation from the One Who created the earth and the highest heavens.
(5) He's the Most Merciful and established Himself on the Throne.
(6) Everything in the heavens, the Earth, in between, and beneath the ground belongs to Him.
(7) Even if you speak out loud, He knows your deepest secrets.
(8) Allah! There is no god but Him. To Him belongs the Most Beautiful Names.
(9) Have you heard about Moses' story?
(10) When he saw a fire, he told his family, "Wait here. I see a fire. Maybe I can grab a torch or find some guidance there."
(11) Then, as he came closer, he heard someone calling, "O Moses!
(12) I'm your Lord. Take off your shoes; you're in the Holy Valley "Tuwa."
(13) And I have chosen you for something important, so pay attention to what I will tell you.
(14) Surely. It is I, Allah. There is no god but Me. So, worship Me and remember Me through prayer.
(15) Indeed, the Hour is coming. I will keep it a secret so everyone gets rewarded for their actions.
(16) So, don't let those who don't believe and only follow their desires distract you. Stay focused, or you will be doomed.
(17) And what's that thing you're holding in your right hand, O Moses?"
(18) Moses replied, "This is my staff; I use it to support myself, gather leaves for my sheep, and use it for other tasks."
(19) God said, "Throw it down, Moses."
(20) So, he threw it, and it turned into a slithering snake.
(21) God reassured him, "Pick it up, don't be afraid. We will change it back to its original form.
(22) And if you put your hand under your arm, it will come out pure white and flawless, yet another miraculous sign.
(23) This is to show you some of Our most amazing signs.
(24) Now, go to Pharaoh, for he has exceeded all limits."
(25) Moses prayed, "My Lord, grant me inner peace.
(26) And make my task easier for me.
(27) Help me speak clearly.
(28) So that people can understand me.
(29) And give me a helper from my family.
(30) My brother Aaron.
(31) To strengthen my back.
(32) And let him help me in this mission.
(33) So that we can praise You much.
(34) And remember You much.
(35) We know You are watching over us."
(36) God said, "Your prayers are answered, O Moses.
(37) And We have certainly favored you before.
(38) When We Inspired Your Mom:
(39) "Place the baby in a basket and let it float down the river. The river will bring the baby to shore, where someone who is My enemy and his will find and care for them." And I surrounded you with my endless love to ensure you grow up under My watchful Eye.
(40) As your sister passed by, she asked, "Can I help you find someone to care for him?" So, We made sure you were reunited with your mom, making her happy instead of sad. And you killed a person 'by mistake,' and you were in trouble, but We saved you and put you through different tests. You spent many years among the people of Midian and eventually returned, as it was meant to be, O Moses.
(41) And I've chosen you for Myself.
(42) You and your brother, go with my signs and don’t stop thinking of Me.
(43) Go to Pharaoh. He's acting way too bossy and mean.
(44) Talk to him nicely. Maybe he will think twice or get scared.
(45) They were worried and said, "God, we're afraid he might hurt us or be mean."
(46) God assured them, "Don't worry, I'm right there with you, listening and watching."
(47) So go to him and say, "Indeed, we're messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and don't torture them. We've got a sign from your Lord. Those who follow guidance will find peace.
(48) We have been told that those who deny and turn away will face punishment.”
(49) Pharaoh asked, "Who is your God, Moses?"
(50) Moses replied, "Our God is the One Who created everything and guides it."
(51) Pharaoh inquired, "What about those who lived long ago?"
(52) Moses replied, "All that knowledge is in a special book with my God. My God doesn't make mistakes or forget."
(53) The One Who spread the earth for you, made pathways in it, and sent rain from the sky, which helps all kinds of plants grow in pairs.
(54) Enjoy your food and take care of your animals. These things are like clues for those who think.
(55) We created you from it. We will return you to it. And one Day, We will bring you out again.
(56) We showed Pharoah many amazing things, but he just refused and turned away.
(57) He asked, "Are you trying to kick us out from our land with your tricks, O Moses?
(58) We will make similar magic too. Set a date and a place, and we will meet and have a magic contest.”
(59) Moses said, "Let us meet on a big festival day when lots of people are around, at noon."
(60) Pharaoh left, devised his plan, and returned with his magicians.
(61) Moses warned them, "Woe to you. Don't makeup lies about God, or He will destroy you with a punishment. Those who lie will be losers."
(62) The magicians discussed their situation and kept their conversation private.
(63) They said, "These are just two magicians trying to use their magic to take over your land and ruin your way of life.
(64) Plan things out and stand united. The one who comes out on top today will be in charge."
(65) They told Moses, "Either you make the first move or we will."
(66) Moses said, "You go first." When they did, their ropes and staff seemed to him to move because of their magic tricks.
(67) Moses felt scared.
(68) We said, "Don't be scared, you are the winner.
(69) Put down what's in your right hand; it will swallow up their tricks. Their magic is just an illusion. No matter what the magician does, he will fail."
(70) The magicians fell to the ground, bowing down. They said, "We believe in the Lord of Aaron and Moses."
(71) Pharaoh threatened, "Did you believe in him without my permission? He seems to be your leader who taught you magic. I will punish you by cutting off your hands and feet on opposite sides and crucifying you on palm tree trunks. Then you will see who is more severe in punishment and lasting."
(72) They said, "We won't pick you over the amazing signs we have seen and the One Who created us. You can make any decision you want. Your decision is only in this world."
(73) Indeed, we believe in our Lord so He can forgive us for our mistakes and the magic stuff you forced us to do. God is the Best, and His rewards are long-lasting.”
(74) Anyone who faces their Lord with guilt will end up in Hell forever, neither dying nor truly living.
(75) But those who come to Him as believers and have done good deeds will get the highest rewards.
(76) They will enjoy the beautiful Gardens of Eden with rivers flowing underneath, where they will live forever. That's the prize for those who keep themselves pure.
(77) And We gave Moses a message: "Leave with My servants at night and strike with your staff a path for them through the sea. Don't worry about Pharaoh catching you or drowning."
(78) Then, Pharaoh chased after them with his army, but the sea came crashing down and swallowed them all up.
(79) Pharaoh led his people the wrong way and didn't help them.
(80) O, children of Israel! We saved you from your enemies and arranged a meeting with you on the right side of the mountain. We even sent you some excellent food like manna and quails.
(81) Enjoy the delicious food I've given you, but don't go overboard, or My anger will come upon you. Anyone who faces My anger has fallen.
(82) But I am Forgiving to those who repent, believe, do good deeds, and stay guided.
(83) God asked, "O Moses! Why the hurry? What brought you here ahead of your people?"
(84) Moses replied, "They were just following my lead, and I wanted to reach You, Lord, to please You."
(85) God said, "While you were away, We put your people to the test, and a Samaritan led them astray."
(86) Moses came back to his people, frustrated and upset. He asked, "My people, didn't your Lord make a good promise to you? Did I stay away for too long, or did you want God to be angry and break our promise?"
(87) They said, "We didn't mean to break our promise to you, but we were forced to carry heavy loads of people's golden jewelry, and we ended up tossing those things into the fire, and so did the Samaritan.
(88) The Samaritan then made an idol of a calf that mooed, and they said, "This is our God and the God of Moses, but Moses seems to have forgotten."
(89) Didn't they realize that this calf couldn't talk, help, or harm them in any way?
(90) Aaron, before Moses returned, had warned them, "My people! You're indeed being tested here. Remember that our Lord is the Most Merciful. Follow me and do as I say."
(91) They insisted, "We won't stop worshiping this calf until Moses returns."
(92) Moses asked Aaron, "Why didn't you stop them when you saw them astray?
(93) From following me? Did you disobey my command?"
(94) Aaron said, "Do not grab my beard or my head, son of my mother. I was afraid you'd say, 'You have created division among the Children of Israel and have gone against my word.'"
(95) Moses said, "O Samaritan! And what do you say now?"
(96) He said, "I saw something they didn't notice, so I took a handful of dirt from where the angel messenger had walked and playfully threw it. My curiosity got the best of me."
(97) Moses said sternly, "Go away then! You will be crying and pleading for people not to touch you for the rest of your life. Your fate is inevitable, with no escape. Now, take a look upon the god you've worshipped; we will burn it and scatter the remains in the sea.
(98) Indeed, your God is Allah. There is no god but He. The All-Knowing and Al-Encompassing."
(99) We're sharing these stories of the past with you, and We've sent you a Reminder from Us.
(100) Anyone who turns away from it will bear a heavy load on Judgment Day.
(101) They will be stuck there forever. It's a heavy burden they will carry on Judgment Day!
(102) When the sinners are gathered on the Day the Horn is sounded, their faces will be blue.
(103) They will start whispering, "We were only in the world for ten days!"
(104) But We know best what they will say. The wisest among them will say, "No! You only stayed there for just one day."
(105) And they ask you about the mountains, say, "My Lord will make them crumble with a huge blast.
(106) The whole earth will become flat without bumps or hills.
(107) It will be all level ground, no ups or downs.
(108) On that Day, everyone will obediently follow the one calling them. In front of the Most Merciful, voices will hush, and you will only hear whispers.
(109) On that Day, only those allowed by the Most Merciful and whose words are acceptable to Him will have the chance to speak up.
(110) He knows everything in their past and future, and their understanding can't capture His greatness.
(111) Every face will be humbled before the Ever-Living, the Eternal. Those who did wrong will be disappointed.
(112) But a believer who does good deeds won't have to worry about unfair treatment or losing their good actions.
(113) That's why We sent it down as an Arabic Quran with different warnings so people could become better or remember the Right Path.
(114) Up above everything is God, the True King. When you read the Quran, take your time; don't rush through it. Instead, say, "Oh, God, help me learn and understand more."
(115) And indeed, long ago, We made a covenant with Adam, but he forgot and didn't do what We asked him to do.
(116) And remember when We told the angels to bow down to Adam, and they all did, except for Iblis; he refused.
(117) We warned Adam, "Satan is indeed your enemy. Don't let him kick you out of Paradise, Adam, or you will have a tough time.
(118) In it, you won't go hungry or be naked there.
(119) And you won't be thirsty or get too hot from the sun.”
(120) But then, Satan whispered to Adam, saying, "O, Adam! Want to know about the Tree of Forever Life and a special property that never goes away?"
(121) So, they ate from it and suddenly realized they were naked and started covering up with leaves. Adam messed up and didn't do what God had told him.
(122) God forgave Adam and showed him the Right Way again.
(123) God said, "Leave the Garden, all of you. You will be enemies now. But whenever I send you guidance, those who follow it won't get lost or suffer.
(124) But those who turn away from My guidance will live a miserable life, and on the Day of Resurrection, We will gather them blind."
(125) They will cry, "My Lord, why did you raise me blind when I used to see?"
(126) God will respond, "Just like you have forgotten Our revelations when they came to you, so Today, you will be forgotten."
(127) This is how We reward whoever disobeys and does not believe in their Lord's revelations. And the punishment in the Hereafter is even more severe and more lasting.
(128) Isn't it clear to them how We destroyed many generations before them, and now they walk where those people used to live? There are lessons there for those who understand.
(129) If it weren't for a word from your Lord, punishment would have been immediate, but there's a set time for it.
(130) Stay patient when people say things that bother you. Remember to appreciate and praise your Lord before the day begins and ends, as well as during the night and at the end of the day. This helps you find peace within yourself.
(131) Avoid wanting the flashy stuff that some non-believers have now. This life is just a test for them, but what God has for you in the Hereafter is much better and will last forever.
(132) Encourage your family to pray and be patient. We don't ask you to provide. It is We Who provide for you. The best result comes to those who live righteously.
(133) They ask, "Why doesn't he show us a sign from God?" Haven't they already gotten proof from earlier Scriptures?”
(134) If We had punished them before Muhammad came, they would have said, "Lord, if only You had sent us a messenger, we would have followed Your teachings before being humiliated and ashamed."
(135) Tell them, “We're waiting, so keep waiting. You will find out soon who's on the Straight Path and is guided by God.”
