In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

(1) Alif, Lam, Mim.

(2) This is the Book of No Doubt, a guide for the God-fearing people.

(3) It's for those who believe in the unseen, pray, and share their blessings with those in need.

(4) It's also for those who believe in the revelation sent to you ˁ O Prophet Muhammad,ˀ the revelations that came before your time, and those who are certain about the next life.

(5) These are the ones who find their way with guidance from their Lord, and they are the ones who achieve true success.

(6) For those who don't believe, it doesn't matter if you warn them or not; they won't believe.

(7) God has sealed their hearts, closed their ears, and clouded their vision. They will have a great punishment.

(8) Some people claim, "We believe in God and the Last Day," but they're not believers deep down.

(9) They're trying to trick God and those who have faith, yet they're fooling no one but themselves.

(10) There's a sickness in their hearts, and God makes it grow even more. They'll face a painful punishment because they're telling lies.

(11) When they're told, "Don't cause trouble on Earth," they say, "We're just trying to keep the peace."

(12) Indeed. They're the ones causing trouble and don't even realize it.

(13) And when they are told, "Believe as the people have believed," they reply, "Should we believe like the foolish?" In truth, they're the ones acting foolish, but they're clueless about it too.

(14) When around people who believe, they pretend to be believers too, saying, "We're with you." But when they're alone with their devils, they admit, "Nah, we're just mocking."

(15) God mocks them back, letting them wander lost in their wrong choices.

(16) These folks have traded the Right Path for the wrong one. It's a lousy deal that won't do them any good, and they're pretty lost.

(17) They're like someone who started a fire, but God turned it off when the light spread and left them in the dark. They can't see a thing.

(18) They are deaf, dumb, blind, off track, and won't find their way back.

(19) Or they are like a storm with darkness, thunder, and lightning. When they hear the thunder, they plug their ears in fear. They're so afraid that they'll do anything to avoid the lightning. But God surrounds those who don't believe.

(20) The lightning almost blinds them. When it flashes, they move forward; when it's dark, they freeze. God could've taken away their hearing and vision if He wanted. He has control over everything.

(21) O everyone! Worship your Lord, Who created you, and those who came before you. This way, you'll become more mindful of Him.

(22) The One Who crafted the Earth like a massive bed and the sky like a grand structure. He sent rain from the sky to make delicious fruits that you eat. So, do not put anything on the same level as God when you know better.

(23) And if you ever doubt the message that came through Our Servant, bring something just as profound. Ask others to help you if you genuinely believe in your words.

(24) But the truth is, you won't be able to do it, and you will not. In that case, be cautious of the consequences—a Fire where people and stones are used as fuel, and it's meant for those who don't believe.

(25) And give good news, O Prophet, to those who believe and do good deeds that they will find themselves in beautiful Gardens with rivers flowing underneath. When they taste the fruits there, they'll say, "This is like what we had before,” what they are given is similar in looks but different in taste. Plus, they'll have purified, loving spouses and live there forever.

(26) God doesn't hesitate to use everyday examples, even as small as a mosquito or something even smaller on top of it, to teach you valuable lessons. Those who believe in Him understand that these examples hold profound truths from their Lord. But those who deny the truth ask, "What does God mean by this example?" The truth is that God guides some and allows others to be led astray, and it's usually the ones who choose to do evil that end up going astray.

(27) The true losers are those who break their promises to God, cut the relationships He told people to take care of, and cause corruption in the land. They're the ones missing out on something precious.

(28) How can you not believe in God when you were once dead, and then He gave you life? Someday, you'll experience death, and then He'll bring you back to life again. In the end, you will all return to Him."

(29) He's the One Who created everything on this beautiful earth and then crafted seven vast heavens! He's All-Knowing and understanding things that are beyond your grasp.

(30) Remember when your Lord told the angels that He would place someone in charge on Earth? The angels were curious and asked, "Will You put someone on earth who might cause trouble and shed blood while we're here praising and showing respect to You?" God replied, "I know things that you don't know."

(31) God taught Adam all the names of things, and then He showed them to the angels. He asked the angels, "Can you tell me the names of these things if you are truthful?"

(32) The angels replied, "Glory be to You; we only know what You've taught us. You are truly the All-Knowing, the All-Wise."

(33) God told Adam, "Tell the angels the names of these things." When Adam did so, God said, "Didn't I tell you that I know what's hidden in the heavens and the earth, and I know what you reveal and what you keep secret?"

(34) And remember when We commanded the angels to bow down to Adam, and they all obeyed except for Iblees. He refused, became proud, and turned into a disbeliever.

(35) We said, "O Adam, you and your wife can live in the Garden and enjoy everything freely, but stay away from that tree, or you'll be doing wrong."

(36) Unfortunately, Satan managed to trick them, and they lost their blissful state. We said, "Get down! Now you are enemies to each other. You'll live on Earth and enjoy it there for a while."

(37) God then inspired Adam to ask for forgiveness, and his Lord accepted his repentance. Indeed, He is the All-Forgiving, the Most Merciful.

(38) We told them, “Get down from it, everyone. And when you receive guidance from Me, those who follow it won't have to worry or be sad.

(39) But those who refuse to believe and ignore the signs all around are missing out. They will be in the company of the Fire in a never-ending state of regret.”

(40) O Children of Israel! Remember all the good things I've done for you. And keep your promises to Me. I'll keep My promises to you, too. Just make sure to show respect and have awe for Me."

(41) Also, believe in My revelation, which confirms what you already have. Don't be the first to dismiss it. And never trade away My teachings for a small price. And be afraid of Me.

(42) Don't twist the truth or hide what you know is right.

(43) Keep up with your prayers, donate from what you've got regularly, and kneel with others who kneel.

(44) Do you tell others to do good but forget to look after yourselves while you recite the Book? Don't you get it? ˁ You've got to practice what you preach. ˀ

(45) Turn to patience and prayer when facing tough times. Indeed, it can be challenging, but those who submit humbly to God find strength in it.

(46) They are the ones who are sure they'll meet their Lord and return to Him.

(47) O Children of Israel! Think about the blessings I've given you and how I favored you above all.

(48) And fear a Day when no one can help anyone else. No one can speak up for you, no money can save you, and no one will rescue you.

(49) And remember how I saved you from the people of Pharaoh. They put you through terrible trials, killing your sons and keeping your women for their service. It was a massive test from your Lord.

(50) Remember when I split the sea for you, rescued you, while drowned Pharaoh's folks right before your eyes.

(51) And think back to when Moses had a forty-night appointment with Me, but you decided to worship a calf instead. Yes, you were wrongdoers there."

(52) After that, We pardoned you, hoping you'd be thankful.

(53) And you recall when We granted Moses the Scripture and the standard of right and wrong to guide you.

(54) Remember when Moses told his people, "You've truly wronged yourselves by worshiping the calf. Turn to your Creator in repentance and kill those who did wrong among you. That's the right way to make amends with your Creator." So, He forgave you. He's exceedingly Forgiving and Merciful.”

(55) Remember when you said, "Moses, we won't believe you until we see God directly." But then, a lightning bolt struck you while you watched.

(56) We brought you back to life, so you'd be thankful.

(57) We covered you with clouds and sent down manna and quails, saying, "Feast on the good provisions We've supplied." You didn't wrong Us, but you wronged yourselves.

(58) And remember when We said, "Enter this city, enjoy its bounties to your heart's content, and humbly seek forgiveness at the gate, saying, 'Pardon our sins.' We'll forgive your wrongs and reward the righteous."

(59) However, those who did wrong twisted the words they were given, and as a result, We sent punishment from the sky raining down upon them because of their wickedness.

(60) Do you recall when Moses prayed for water to quench his people's thirst? So We said, "Strike the rock with your staff." And all of a sudden, twelve springs gushed forth from it, satisfying each tribe's need for water. They were told, "Enjoy God's provisions, but don't cause harm on earth."

(61) There was another time when you complained to Moses, saying, "We're bored of the same food! Ask your God to give us different things like herbs, cucumbers, garlic, lentils, and onions." Moses said, "Why give up what's good for something less? Go to a nearby town and find what you want." But they didn't listen; instead, they faced tough times and became poor. God was not happy with them because they rejected God’s signs, killed the prophets without a right, didn't follow His rules, and were transgressors.

(62) Indeed, those who believed, whether Jews, Christians, or Sabeans ˁ before Prophet Muhammad, ˀ who believed truly in God and the Last Day and did good things, would be rewarded by their Lord. They won't have to worry or be sad about anything.

(63) Recall when We made a covenant with you and raised the mountain above you, saying, "Hold on firmly to the Torah and be mindful of God's teachings within it."

(64) Then you turned away even after all that. You would've been losing if it weren't for God's kindness and mercy.

(65) And you have heard about those who broke the Sabbath. We said to them, "Be despised apes" as punishment.

(66) This punishment was meant to teach a lesson to their generation and the ones that followed, a reminder for those who do right.

(67) Remember when Moses told his people, "God wants you to sacrifice a cow." They said, "Are you making fun of us?" He said, "God forbid! I am not ignorant."

(68) They asked, "Then ask your Lord to tell us which cow." Moses replied, "He says, ‘It shouldn't be too old or too young, somewhere in between. Just do as you're told."

(69) They asked, "Pray to your Lord to show us the cow's color." He replied, "He describes it as a bright yellow cow, quite eye-catching."

(70) They insisted, "Ask your Lord to specify which one it is; to us, they all look the same, and if God wills, we'll find our way."

(71) He explained that God says, "It's a cow not trained for work or farming, spotless and flawless." They said, "Now you've told us the truth." So, they sacrificed it, although they were close to not doing it.

(72) And do you remember that time when you killed someone, and each of you tried to blame others? But God intended to reveal what you were hiding.

(73) Then, We instructed them, "Strike the dead person with a part of the sacrificed cow." In this way, God brings the dead back to life and presents His signs for you so that you understand.

(74) After that, your hearts grew as hard as stones or even harder. But keep in mind, there are stones from which rivers flow, some that split open and water burst forth, and others that tumble down in awe of God. God is Well Aware of your actions.

(75) So, do you believers expect them to believe in you, even though some of them used to hear the Word of God but knowingly changed it after understanding it?

(76) And when they meet the believers, they say, "We believe," but in private, they ask, "Do you tell them about what God revealed to you in the Torah regarding ˁ Muhammad ˀ so that they can argue with you before your Lord?" Can't you see what you are doing?

(77) Don't they realize that God knows what they keep secret and what they reveal?

(78) And some do not know how to read or write and only know about the Scripture through what they've heard from others. They're just assuming things.

(79) It's terrible for those who write their version of the Scripture with their own hands and then claim, "This is from God," to make some money. They will regret what they've written and what they've earned.

(80) They also say, "The Fire will only touch us for a few days." But tell them, "Have you made a deal with God? Because God never breaks His promises. Or are you saying things about God that you don't know?"

(81) Absolutely! Those who choose to do wrong and let their sins pile up, they'll end up in the Fire, and they'll be there forever.

(82) But those who believe and do good deeds are the lucky ones going to Paradise, and they'll stay there forever.

(83) We took a covenant from the children of Israel back in the day. We said, "Do not worship anyone except God, be kind to your parents, help the orphans and the needy, speak kindly to people, pray regularly, and give alms, the regular charity." But many of you turned away from that, except for a few.

(84) We had another deal with you, too. We said, "Don't kill each other or kick people out of their homes." You all agreed to it, and you were witnesses.

(85) But look at you now! You're killing yourselves, tossing people out of their homes, and even teaming up against them. And when they're captured, you're the first to pay their ransom, even though it was wrong to kick them out in the first place. So, what's the deal? Do you believe in some parts of the Scripture but not in others? The consequence is humiliation in this life, which will be much worse on Judgment Day. God is always watching everything you do.

(86) These are the ones who chose the pleasures of this life over the rewards of the Hereafter. Their punishment won't be lessened, and no one will aid them.

(87) Indeed, We gave Moses the Book and sent after him messengers. And We gave clear signs to Jesus, son of Mary, and supported him with the Holy Spirit. But why is it that when a messenger brings something you don't like, you act proud, reject some, and even kill others?

(88) They said, "Our hearts are closed off." But no, it's because they don't believe, so God put a curse on them. They lack faith.

(89) Then, when they received ˁ the Quran,ˀ a Book from God that confirmed what they already had and knew it was the truth, they still rejected it. They used to hope for the Prophet's success against the pagans, but now God's curse is on those who reject the truth.

(90) It's sad because they didn't believe in what God revealed and got jealous of the good things He gave to His chosen ones among His servants. Now, they've earned anger upon anger, and a harsh, humiliating punishment awaits those who don't believe.

(91) When they are told, "Believe in what God has revealed," they respond, "We believe in what was revealed to us," but they reject that which came after it, even though it's the truth, confirming what they already have. Ask them, "Why did you kill God's messengers in the past if you truly believe?"

(92) Remember when Moses showed you apparent miracles, but when he was gone, you started worshiping the calf and were clearly in the wrong.

(93) We made a deal with you, and when We raised the mountain over you, We said, "Hold on firmly to the Scripture that We gave you and listen." But you said, "We hear, but we disobey," and the love of the calf became rooted in your hearts because you didn't believe. Ask yourselves, "Isn't it bad that your faith led you to this? Do you truly believe?"

(94) Say, "If you're the only ones who will go to Heaven and no one else, then wish for death if you're telling the truth."

(95) But they won't wish for it because of their evil actions. God knows all about those who do wrong.

(96) You will find them loving life much, even more than those who believe in many gods. Some of them want to live for a thousand years! But, even if they got that wish, it wouldn't save them from God's punishment. God sees everything they do.

(97) Say to them, "If anyone goes against Gabriel—he brought down God's guidance to your heart, confirming what came before and sharing the good news with believers."

(98) If someone goes against God, His angels, His messengers, Gabriel and Michael, then God will go against them, too.

(99) Indeed. We've given you clear signs; only the sinful would reject them.

(100) It's like every time they make a promise, some break it. Most of them don't believe.

(101) And when a messenger from God came to them, confirming what they already had in their Scriptures, some of those who had the Scriptures turned their backs on it as if they didn't know it.

(102) And they followed what the devils were reciting during the time of Solomon. Solomon himself did not lose faith; it was the devils who disbelieved. These devils started teaching folks magic, even what had been revealed to the angels Harut and Marut in Babylon. But these angels never taught anyone magic without saying first, "We're only a test, so be careful not to go down the wrong path." So they learned from them some magic about creating problems between a husband and his wife, but they couldn't harm anyone unless God said so. And they learned what would harm them and not benefit them. Still, they figured that messing with this wouldn't help them in the afterlife. It's very sad what they traded their souls for if they knew!

(103) If they had only believed and held a deep respect for God, they would've realized that the rewards from God would be even better.  ˁ It's all about understanding and making the right choices. ˀ

(104) O you who believe! Don't use unclear or disrespectful words when talking to the Prophet. Show respect and listen to what he's saying. The disbelievers will have a painful punishment ahead of them.

(105) The People of the Book who don't believe and those who worship multiple gods don't hope for anything good to come your way from your Lord. But remember, God decides who receives His mercy. He's incredibly Generous and Kind.

(106) We always bring something even better or similar before replacing a message or letting it fade. Haven't you realized that God can do anything?

(107) Do you not know that the heavens and the earth belong to God, and besides Him, you have no one to protect or support you?

(108) Or are you trying to ask your Messenger, just as Moses was asked before? If someone trades faith for disbelief, they're heading down the wrong path.

(109) Many of the People of the Book wish they could make you stop believing because they're jealous, even after they've seen the truth. So, be patient and overlook it until God decides. He's Capable of everything.

(110) Keep up with your prayers and give alms. Whatever good you do for yourselves, you will find it with God. He sees everything you do.

(111) And they say only Jews or Christians can enter Paradise. But these are their wishes. Say, "Show your proof if what you say is true."

(112) Anyone who commits himself to God and does good things, the Almighty will reward him. They will not have to worry or be sad.

(113) And the Jews say, “The Christians don't stand on anything,” and the Christians say, “The Jews are mistaken in their beliefs.” But they both read their Scriptures. People who don't know much say the same. But God will decide who's right on Judgment Day.

(114) Who could be more unfair than those who try to stop people from remembering God's Name in His places of worship and even want to destroy them? They shouldn't enter those places except with fear of God, and for them, there will be shame in this world and a severe punishment in the Hereafter.

(115) Remember, God rules over the East and the West. Whichever way you turn, you're facing God’s direction. Indeed, God is All-Encompassing and All-Knowing.

(116) They say, "God has begotten a son." Glory be to Him. God is above and beyond, and everything in the heavens and the earth obeys Him.

(117) God is the Creator of the heavens and the earth. When He decides something, He says, "Be," and it is.

(118) People who don't know much say, "Why doesn't God speak to us or show us a sign?" People before them had similar thoughts. They all have similar doubts. But indeed, We've already shown clear signs for those who have faith.

(119) We sent you the truth to give good news and warn people. You won't be held responsible for those who end up in Hellfire.

(120) The Jews and Christians will never agree with you unless you follow their ways. Tell them, "God's guidance is the real guidance." If you were to follow their desires after receiving knowledge, you'd have no one to protect or help you against God.

(121) Those given the Book recite it as it should be. They genuinely believe in it. Anyone who doesn't believe is the one missing out.

(122) O Children of Israel! Remember the blessings I've given you and how I chose you above all others in the world.

(123) Be cautious of a Day when no one can help each other, no payback is allowed, and no one's plea can change anything. Everyone will be on their own.

(124) Abraham faced a test from his Lord when he received commands, and he carried them out. God said, "I'm appointing you as a leader for all people." Abraham asked, "What about my descendants?" God replied, "My promise doesn't include those who do wrong."

(125) We made the House ˁ in Mecca ˀ a sacred place for people to visit and find safety. And from the spot where Abraham stood, we designated a place for prayer. We instructed Abraham and Ishmael, "Keep My House pure for those who circle it, those who come for worship, and those who bow and prostrate in prayer."

(126) Abraham prayed, "My Lord, make this city secure and provide its people with good harvests, as long as they believe in God and the Last Day." God replied, "But for those who disbelieve, I'll let them enjoy life briefly, and then they'll face the punishment of the Fire. What a dreadful destiny that is."

(127) When Abraham and Ishmael laid the foundations of the House, they prayed, "Our Lord, accept this from us. You are indeed the Hearer, the Knower."

(128) They continued, "Our Lord, help us stay dedicated to You and create a dedicated community from our descendants. Teach us to follow our faith and forgive us when we make mistakes. You are the One Who forgives, the Most Merciful.

(129) Our Lord, send someone from them as a messenger who will read Your messages to them, teach them Your Book and wisdom, and help them be better people. Indeed, You are the All-Powerful, the All-Wise."

(130) Only someone fooling themselves would turn away from the faith of Abraham. We have chosen him to be an example for this life and the life after. He will be among the righteous.

(131) When his Lord told him, "Submit!" Abraham replied, "I have submitted to the Lord of the Worlds."

(132) Abraham advised his children and Jacob, saying, "My dear children, God has chosen this faith for you. Live your lives as those who submit to God, and never forget it."

(133) And when Jacob felt his time of death was near, he asked his sons, "Who will you worship after I'm gone?" They answered, "We will worship your God and the God of your forefathers, Abraham, Ishmael, and Isaac. It's the same God; we will also submit to Him."

(134) This is the story of a past nation. They faced the consequences of their actions, just as you will face the outcomes of your choices. You won't be held responsible for what they did.

(135) And they say, "Become Jews or Christians, and you'll find the Right Path." But you answer them, "No! We follow the faith of Abraham, the dedicated monotheist. He never worshipped idols."

(136) Say, O believers, “We believe in God and what was revealed to us, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and their descendants. We believe in what was given to Moses, Jesus, and all the prophets by their Lord. We don't distinguish between any of them, and we are Muslims, submissive to God alone.”

(137) If others believe what you believe, they are on the Right Track. But if they don't, they're going a different way. ˁ Don't worry; ˀ God will shield you from harm. He knows everything and hears everything.

(138) This is God's natural way, and who can guide better than Him? We worship no one but Him.

(139) Tell them, O Prophet, “Do you argue with us about God when He is our Lord and yours too? We have our deeds; you have yours, and we're sincerely devoted to Him.”

(140) Or do you claim that Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and their descendants were Jews or Christians? Ask yourself, are you more knowledgeable than God? Who could be more unjust than someone who hides a testimony God gave him? God is always Aware of what you do.

(141) That was a nation already in the past, and they will face the consequences of what they did. As for you, you'll face the outcomes of your actions, and no one will question you about what they did back then.

(142) Some ignorant people will ask, “Why did they change the direction they used to face during prayer?” You can explain that it doesn't matter whether you face east or west during prayer because both directions belong to God. He guides whoever He wants to the Straight Path.

(143) We have made you a fair and just community, meant to be witnesses over people. The Messenger is also a witness to you. We changed your prayer direction to see who follows the Messenger and who doesn't. God cares about people a lot and is always Kind and Merciful.

(144) We noticed your face, O Prophet, looking towards the heavens. So, We have turned you towards a direction that pleases you—the Sacred Mosque. Wherever you are, face it during your prayers. Those who have the Scripture know this is their Lord's truth. God is never unaware of their actions.

(145) Even if you were to show undeniable proof to those who have the Scriptures, they would not follow your beliefs, and you wouldn't follow theirs, nor would they be followers of one another's direction. You will be on the wrong path if you follow their desires instead of the knowledge you've received.

(146) Those who have the Scriptures recognize him ˁ The Prophet ˀ, just like they recognize their children. However, some hide the truth, even when they know it.

(147) The truth comes from your Lord, so don't doubt it.

(148) Every community has its way of worship, so strive to do good. No matter where you are, God can bring everyone together. He's Capable of anything.

(149) So, no matter where you are, turn your face toward the Sacred Mosque, and it's the truth from your Lord. God is never unaware of what you do.

(150) Turn your face towards the Sacred Mosque wherever you go. So, people won't have any reason to argue against you except those who are doing wrong. Don't fear them; fear Me. This is so I may complete My blessing upon you and help you find the Right Path.

(151) Just like how We sent a messenger from your people to you. He recites Our verses to you, helps you become pure, teaches you the Book, shares wisdom, and tells you things you didn't know.

(152) Keep Me in your thoughts; I'll be there for you. Be grateful, remember to thank Me, and do not be disbelievers.

(153) O you who believe! Seek comfort in patience and prayer. God is with you if you're patient.

(154) Don't say those who've given their lives for God's cause are "dead." They're very much alive, but you may not see it.

(155) We will test you with challenges like fear, hunger, losing stuff, loved ones, and opportunities. But good things will come if you are patient and hang in there.

(156) Those who, when tough times hit, say, "We're from God, and we'll go back to Him."

(157) These folks receive blessings and mercy from their Lord. They're the ones on the Right Track.

(158) Indeed, the two hills of Safa and Marwa are significant symbols of God. So, if someone goes on a pilgrimage to the House or does Umrah, ˁ which is like a mini-pilgrimage,ˀ they can walk between these hills. If you do it voluntarily, God appreciates it and knows everything.

(159) Those who hide the signs and the guidance that God sent down even after it was made clear in the Scripture are cursed by God and by those who curse.

(160) But there's hope for those who realize they made mistakes, change their ways, and openly admit what they did wrong. I will accept their repentance; I am the Acceptor of Repentance, the Most Merciful.

(161) On the other hand, if someone doesn't believe in God and dies as a disbeliever, it's pretty tough. They've got the curse of God, the angels, and everyone else on their case.

(162) This isn't temporary; it goes on forever. The punishment won't get any easier, and there are no delays.

(163) Remember, your God is just One God, and He's the All-Merciful, the All-Compassionate.

(164) Indeed. In the creation of the heavens and the earth, how night turns into day, the ships sailing across vast oceans to benefit people, and the rain that God brought down from the heavens that brings life to the earth, making it flourish with all sorts of creatures. Even the winds and clouds that move through the skies are a marvel for those who think.

(165) Some people treat others as equal to God. They love them as much as they love God. But those who believe have a greater love for God. When the wrongdoers see the consequences of their actions, they will realize that all power belongs to God, and God is indeed strict with punishment.

(166) Those who misguided others will abandon their followers when they see the punishment, and their ties will be broken.

(167) Their followers will cry, "Only if we have another chance, we will abandon them, just as they abandoned us." That's when they'll regret their actions, but there's no escaping the Fire.

(168) O everyone! Eat what's good and allowed on this earth, and don't follow in the footsteps of Satan. He's totally an enemy against you.

(169) He tries to get you to do bad stuff, sin, and say things about God that aren't true.

(170) And when they are told, "Follow what God teaches," Some of them are like, "Nah, we'll just stick to what our ancestors did." But what if their ancestors were clueless and lost?

(171) Those who don't listen to the Messenger are like a bunch of sheep who can't understand anything, following the shepherd's calls. They're deaf, dumb, and blind to the real deal.

(172) O you who believe! Eat the good stuff God provided for you, and be grateful to Him if you truly worship Him alone.

(173) He forbade you to eat animals that die by themselves, blood, pork, or anything sacrificed for anyone other than God. But you're not sinning if it is absolutely necessary, don't want to eat that stuff, and are not going overboard. Indeed. God is Forgiving and Merciful.

(174) Indeed, those who hide God's revealed Book and try to make a quick buck off it are only filling their bellies with fire. God won't talk to them on Judgment Day, won't cleanse them, and they'll face a painful punishment.

(175) These are the ones who choose to follow the wrong path instead of the right one and prefer punishment over forgiveness. How long can they handle the Fire?

(176) This happens because God has revealed the Book with the truth, and those who argue about it are in serious disagreement.

(177) Being righteous isn't just about facing East or West; it's about believing in God, the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets. It's about helping your relatives, orphans, people in need, homeless people, and those who beg with the money you love. It's also about setting enslaved people free. It's about praying, giving to charity, keeping your promises, and staying patient in tough times and battles. These are the qualities of those who are truly good and pious.

(178) O you who believe! When it comes to murder, there's a law of equality: a life for a life, an enslaved person for an enslaved person, and a woman for a woman. But if the family of the person who was harmed decides to forgive the killer, then the killer should pay a fair amount of compensation nicely and respectfully. It's a way to make peace and shows how Merciful God is. But, if someone seeks revenge even after the compensation is paid, they're in for a painful punishment.

(179) The law of equality offers you a valuable lesson, O people with insight, to help you stay mindful of God.

(180) When you're close to passing away and have money, you must make goodwill for your parents and family. It's the responsibility of those who do good things.

(181) If someone changes the will after hearing it, they are at fault, not the person who initially made it. Indeed, God is always listening and knows what's happening.

(182) But if someone thinks there's a mistake or wrongdoing in the will and corrects the matter among the parties involved, he has not sinned. God is Forgiving and Merciful.

(183) O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you, just as it was for those who came before you. It's a way to help you become more pious.

(184) During a specific number of days, you'll fast. But if you're sick or traveling during Ramadan, ˁ don't worry ˀ; you can make up for it later by fasting the same number of days. Or, if you find it extremely difficult to fast, you can feed a hungry person each day you can't fast. But remember, fasting is better if you can manage it, and it's more rewarding if you understand why.

(185) The month of Ramadan is when the Quran was revealed, guiding people and providing clear signs to help distinguish right from wrong. So, if you witness this sacred month, fast and abstain from food and drink from sunrise to sunset. If you're sick or traveling, make up for it by fasting an equal number of days later. God wants this to be an easy experience for you, not a hardship, so you can complete this religious duty and show gratitude for His guidance.

(186) And if anyone asks you about Me, tell them I am always near, ready to listen and respond when you call on Me. So, reach out to Me, and believe in Me so they may be rightly guided.

(187) During the night of fasting, being intimate with your spouse is allowed. It's like you're each other's clothing, ˁ providing emotional comfort.ˀ God knows you've made mistakes in the past, and He's forgiven you. So, be close to your spouse and seek what's written for you. You can eat and drink until you can clearly distinguish the white thread from the black one of dawn. But once you start fasting, avoid intimate relations in the mosque. These are the rules God has set for you to maintain purity and discipline.

(188) Don't cheat or steal from each other, and don't try to bribe judges to unfairly take people's money when you know it's wrong.

(189) Some folks are asking you about the new moons. Say, "They help people keep track of time and plan for important events, like pilgrimages." Real virtue is not about sneaking into houses from behind but being mindful of God. Always enter houses through the front door and show respect to God for success.

(190) When fighting for God's cause, defend yourself against those who attack you, but don't be the aggressor. God doesn't like bullies.

(191) Kill them wherever you find them, and kick them out from where they kicked you out. Remember, Oppression is worse than killing. When you're in the Sacred Mosque, don't start a fight unless they attack you there. If they fight you, then kill them. That's how disbelievers will be dealt with.

(192) If your enemies stop fighting, remember God is Forgiving and Merciful.

(193) Fight for justice until oppression is no more, and people worship God alone freely. If they stop fighting, then don't fight them unless they're the ones causing harm.

(194) If someone commits an offense during a sacred month, it's okay to retaliate during a sacred month, too, but make sure you're fair about it. And always keep God in mind. He stands by those who are mindful of Him.

(195) Spend in God's cause, and don't harm yourself by your actions. Do good because God loves those who do good deeds.

(196) Complete the pilgrimage and Umrah for God. If you can't complete it, send a gift, like a sacrificial animal. Wait to shave your head until the gift reaches its destination. If you're sick or injured, compensate for it by fasting, giving to charity, or sacrificing. When you're safe, whoever does Umrah and then the pilgrimage should offer a sacrifice they can afford. If you can't, fast for three days during the pilgrimage and seven days when you return, making it ten days. This rule is for those whose family isn't in the area of the Sacred Mosque. Always respect God and remember His punishment can be severe.

(197) Pilgrimage happens during specific months. Anyone on this journey must remember not to engage in intimate relations, use foul language, or argue during the pilgrimage. Whatever good deeds you do, God is Aware of them. The best preparation you can make is to be righteous. It's essential to be mindful of God, especially for those who think and reflect.

(198) You won't be blamed for seeking good things from your Lord. After you're done at Arafat, think about God when you're close to the Sacred Landmark. Remember how He helped you when things were confusing and brought you back on track.

(199) After leaving the same place where everyone departs, ask God for forgiveness. He is indeed Forgiving and Merciful.

(200) Once you've completed your pilgrimage, remember God as much as you remember your parents or even more. Some people only pray for blessings in this world, forgetting about the Hereafter.

(201) Some people pray, "Our Lord, grant us a good life here and in the afterlife, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire."

(202) These people will be rewarded for their good deeds, and God is Swift in rewarding them.

(203) Remember God during these special days. It doesn't matter if you leave quickly on the second day or wait until the third day for more rewards. Just keep God in your thoughts. Know that eventually, you will all be gathered to Him.

(204) There are some people who, when they share their thoughts on stuff, impress you and call upon God to witness what is in their hearts, but they are your worst enemies. ˁ Watch out for those who act honestly.ˀ

(205) When they leave, they work to harm the world, ruin crops, and endanger lives. God does not like troublemakers.

(206) If someone tells them to remember God and be good, they insist on doing what is wrong because of their pride. And because of that, they will have to face consequences in Hell, the worst place to end up!

(207) Some dedicate their whole lives to seeking God's pleasure, and God is incredibly Kind to His servants.

(208) O you who believe! Embrace Islam with all your heart, and don't follow the path of Satan. He's your sworn enemy.

(209) If you mess up even after seeing clear signs, remember that God is indeed All-Powerful and All-Wise.

(210) Are they waiting for God and the angels to appear in the clouds to decide? Everything ultimately goes back to God.

(211) Ask the Children of Israel how many clear signs We have given them. If someone turns away from God's blessings after getting them and chooses not to believe, he should know that God's punishment is severe for those who reject His favor.

(212) Some people are so into this worldly life that they mock believers. But on Judgment Day, those who fear God will be way ahead. God provides for whomever He wants without limit.

(213) A long time ago, people were one community of believers but lost faith. God sent special messengers to share good news and warnings with them. He even gave these messengers Scriptures with the truth to help solve problems. Surprisingly, the same people who got these Scriptures started arguing about them because they were jealous of each other. But God, in His wisdom, guided those who believed to the truth. He guides whoever He chooses to the Right Path.

(214) Do you think you can enter Paradise without facing any tests, like the people who came before you? They went through tough times, struggled with poverty, and faced such difficult challenges that even the Messenger and the believers with him wondered when God's help would come. Indeed, God's help is near.

(215) They ask you, "What should we give in charity?" Say, “Anything you give in charity is meant for your parents, relatives, orphans, those in need, and homeless people. Whatever good you do, God knows all about it, even if it's a small act of kindness.”

(216) Sometimes, you might be told that you have to fight, even if you don't want to. But you might dislike something good for you, and you might like something bad for you. God knows what's best, and you don't.

(217) They're asking you about fighting during the Sacred Month. Say, “Fighting during this time is a big sin. But you know what's even worse? It's when people try to stop others from following God’s faith or rejecting Him, or when they block access to the Sacred Mosque, or when they kick people out of it. Those are even bigger sins in God's sight. Oppression is way worse than taking someone's life.” And they won't stop fighting you until they make you change your beliefs. But if someone gives up their faith and dies without believing, their actions won't count in this life or the Hereafter. They'll end up in the Fire, where they’ll stay.

(218) Those who believe, emigrate, and work hard for God's cause are hopeful for God's Mercy. God is Forgiving and Full of Compassion.

(219) People often ask you about drinking and gambling. Tell them, "There's some good in them, but the harm they cause is much worse." They also ask about charitable giving. Say, "Give away what you can spare." This is how God explains things to you so you can think.

(220) About this world and the next. They ask you about orphans, tell them, "It's best to help them improve their situation. If you become their partners, then they are your brethren in faith. God can distinguish between those who do good and those who are corrupt. If God wanted, He could have made things hard for you. He's truly Powerful and Wise."

(221) Don't marry women idolaters unless they become believers. A believer, even a servant, is better than someone who doesn't believe, even if you like them. Don't marry men who worship idols unless they become believers. A believing servant is better than an idol-worshipper, even if you're attracted to them. Those who don't believe lead others to Hellfire, but God leads to Paradise and forgiveness. He explains His messages to people so they can remember ˁ and make good choices.ˀ

(222) Some people have asked about menstruation. Say, “It is harmful. So, avoid being intimate with women. Don't approach them during their period until they're pure again. This is God's guidance. He loves those who repent and stay pure.”

(223) Your wives are like fields to you, so approach them kindly whenever you wish and do something good for yourselves. But remember to be mindful of God and know you'll meet Him. And give good news to the believers.

(224) Don't make promises using God's Name as an excuse to avoid doing good things. Instead, be honest, make peace between people, and act with integrity. God hears and knows everything.

(225) God doesn't judge you for oaths you didn't mean to make, but He cares about your intentions. He's Forgiving and Patient.

(226) If someone makes a vow not to be intimate with their spouse, they should wait for four months. But if they change their mind, God is indeed All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

(227) If they decide to divorce, remember that God listens and knows all.

(228) If a woman goes through a divorce, she should wait three months before marrying again. She needs to be honest if she's expecting a child, as long as she has faith in God and the afterlife. And if husbands want to fix things first, they have the right to take their wives back. Men and women have certain rights and duties, but men have a degree ˁ of responsibility ˀ over them. Remember, God is All-Powerful and All-Wise.

(229) A woman can be divorced twice; after that, you can treat her well or let her go with kindness. Don't take back anything you've given them unless both fear they can't follow God's guidelines. If that's the case, there's no blame on her if she compensates for herself. These are God's rules, so don't break them. Those who do are in the wrong.

(230) If he divorces her a third time, she can't be with him again unless she marries someone else. If that second husband divorces her, she can return to her first husband if everyone follows God's rules. These are God's rules, which He explains to those who understand.

(231) When you divorce women, and they're almost done waiting, treat them kindly or let them go kindly. Don't hold onto them to hurt them or be aggressive. If you do that, you're only hurting yourself. Don't make fun of God's rules. Remember the blessings from God, the Book, and the Wisdom He's given you. Fear God, and remember that He knows everything.

(232) When you divorce women, and they've completed their waiting period, don't stop them from remarrying their husbands if they agree on fair terms. This is advice for anyone who believes in God and the Last Day. It's the right and pure thing for you to do. God knows, even if you don't.

(233) Mothers can breastfeed their babies for up to two years if they want to. Fathers are responsible for providing and dressing their kids appropriately. Remember, no one gets more than they can handle. Mothers shouldn't be hurt by their kids, and neither should fathers. This goes for their heirs, too. If parents decide together to stop breastfeeding, it's okay. If you hire a nursing mom, make sure to pay her fairly. Always think about God. He sees everything you do.

(234) If someone passes away and leaves a wife behind, she should wait for four months and ten days before remarrying. Once that waiting period is over, she can make her own choices. God knows what's in your hearts.

(235) It's okay to be interested in divorced or widowed people; you don't have to feel guilty about it. God knows that you might be thinking about marrying them. However, it's important not to make any secret promises to them. You can only express your interest respectfully. Don't decide to get married until the waiting period is over. Remember, God knows what you're thinking, so be mindful. Also, know that God is Forgiving and Patient.

(236) Deciding to break up with someone is okay, even if you haven't been physically close or given them a gift yet. Help them out—the rich should help as much as possible, and the less wealthy should do what they can. It's a good thing and the right thing for those who want to do good.

(237) If you divorce your wives before any intimacy or setting the dowry, you should give them half of what you initially agreed upon. However, if she or her guardian decides not to claim it, that's even better. Remember to be kind to each other throughout this process. God sees everything you do.

(238) Be consistent with your obligatory prayers, including the one in the middle of the day. Stand before God with a sense of obedience and devotion.

(239) But if you find yourself in a situation where you're in danger from an enemy, you can pray on foot or ride. When you're safe, remember to pray as you've been taught.

(240) If one of you dies and leaves a wife behind, it's essential to set aside support for her for a whole year. Nobody should kick her out during this time. But it is not your fault if she chooses to leave on her own before the year ends. God is All-Powerful and All-Wise.

(241) Divorced women should receive fair support. It's a duty for those who are mindful of God.

(242) God explains these teachings to help you think and understand.

(243) Have you ever thought about those who fled their homes in great numbers due to fear of death? Then God said to them, "Die!" but later, He brought them back to life.” God is always Bountiful to people, but sadly, most people don't appreciate it.

(244) Fight for what is right in the Name of God, and remember that God is All-Hearing and All-Knowing.

(245) Who among you is willing to lend God a good loan so that He multiplies it for him many times over? God can increase and decrease your wealth; in the end, you will all return to Him.

(246) Do you remember the story of the Children of Israel after the time of Moses? They asked one of their prophets, "Can you choose a leader for us, and we'll fight for God's cause?" The prophet asked, "Will you not fight if necessary?" They responded, "Why wouldn't we fight for God, especially after being forced out of our homes and separated from our children?" But when the time for battle came, most turned away, except for a few. God knows well who acts unjustly.

(247) Their prophet said, "God chose Saul to be your king." They asked, "Why him? We think we're more fit for the job, especially because he isn't wealthy." The prophet explained, "God chose him over you and gave him wisdom and strength. God chooses leaders as He wishes, and He knows everything."

(248) The prophet said, "You'll know he's your king when the Ark of the Covenant comes back to you. It'll bring you peace and a connection to God, along with the leftovers of what Moses and Aaron left behind, carried by the angels. It's a clear sign for you if you believe."

(249) Then, when Saul and his troops moved on, he cautioned, "God will put you to the test with a river. If you drink a lot from it, you will not join me. But if you only take a small sip with your hands, you're with me." Most of them drank to their full, except for a few. Then later, when Saul and the believers crossed the river, they felt tired and said, "We can't handle Goliath and his troops today." Those with unwavering faith said, "Haven't we seen before how, with God's help, a small group can overcome a larger one? God stands with those who are patient and steadfast."

(250) And when they faced Goliath and his army, they prayed, "Our Lord, grant us patience, make us strong, and help us defeat the non-believers."

(251) With God's permission, they defeated Goliath, and David became the king and a prophet. God taught him as He wished. Earth would have been in chaos if God hadn't made one group stand against the other. But God is Kind to humanity.

(252) These are God's messages. We're sharing them with you, and you're one of the messengers.

(253) Some messengers were chosen over others. God spoke directly to some and gave high status to others. He granted Jesus, son of Mary, clear signs and strengthened him with the Holy Spirit. If God wanted, later generations wouldn't have fought each other after receiving clear signs. But they disagreed. Some believed, and some didn't. They wouldn't have fought if God willed, but God does whatever He wants.

(254) O you who believe! Share with those in need what you've got before a Day comes when there'll be no buying or selling, making friends, or anyone to put in a good word for you. Those who don't believe are the wrongdoers.

(255) Allah, there's no god but Him, the Ever-Living. He never needs a nap or sleep. Everything in the heavens and the Earth belongs to Him. Who can talk to Him without His permission? He knows everything—past, present, and future. You can't know anything from His knowledge unless He allows it. His Throne extends over everything, and He's the Most High, the Greatest.

(256) You've got the freedom to choose your religion; no one can force you. Right and wrong are clear. Whoever rejects the devil and believes in God has grasped the firmest handle, which does not break. God hears everything and knows it all.

(257) God looks out for the believers. He guides them from darkness into light. But for those who don't believe, the evil ones are in charge, and they lead them from light into darkness. These folks are in for a tough time in the Fire and are stuck there forever.

(258) Did you ever hear about the one who argued with Abraham about God's power? He thought he had incredible power because he was a king, but Abraham said, "My Lord is the One Who gives life and takes it away." The guy argued, "I can do that too." So, Abraham challenged him and said, "If you're so powerful, bring the sun from the West when it rises in the East." The guy was left speechless. And God doesn't guide those who do wrong.

(259) Then there's the story of a traveler who came across a wholly ruined town. He wondered how God could bring it back to life. So God caused him to die for a hundred years and then brought him back to life.  God asked, "How long you have been asleep?" The traveler said, "Maybe a day or part of a day." God corrected him, "You've been asleep for a hundred years! Look at your food; it hasn't spoiled. Your donkey is proof of God's miracles, too. And see those bones? Watch how We bring them back to life, covering them with flesh." The traveler was amazed and said, "I know that God is Capable of everything."

(260) Lastly, there's the story of Abraham when he once asked God, "Can you show me how You bring the dead back to life?" God replied, "Don't you believe already?" Abraham said, "Yes, but I want to reassure my heart." So, God told him, "Get four birds, cut them up, and spread the pieces on different hills. Then, call them and watch what happens. They'll come back to you in a hurry. That's to show you that God is indeed Powerful and Wise."

(261) The example of those who spend their wealth for the sake of God is like a grain that sprouts seven spikes; in each spike, there are a hundred grains. And God multiplies for whomever He wills. God knows everything and takes care of everything.

(262) Those who give their wealth for the sake of God and don't boast about it or harm others will be rewarded by God. They need not fear or worry. Their kindness will be repaid.

(263) Being forgiving and using kind words is even better than giving to charity and hurting others. God doesn't need anything, and He's Patient and understanding.

(264) O you who believe! Don't spoil your good deeds by bragging or hurting others. It's like giving money to show off without believing in God or life after death. Imagine your kindness is like a rock washed away by rain, leaving it bare. Such actions won't benefit you because God doesn't guide those who don't believe.

(265) The example of those who share their wealth, want to please God, and trust in His rewards is like having a garden on top of a tall hill. When the rain comes, the garden blossoms and grows abundantly. Even a light rain can make it flourish. God is Fully Aware of your actions.

(266) Imagine having a garden filled with palm trees, vines, and various fruits, with rivers flowing underneath. But as you get older and have dependent children, a fiery tornado strikes the garden, setting it ablaze. This is how God illustrates His lessons so you can reflect.

(267) O you who believe! Give to others from the best things you have earned and from what God has provided you from the earth. Don't give things you wouldn't want for yourself unless you close your eyes to it. God is Self-Sufficient and deserving of praise.

(268) Satan tells you that you'll be poor and urges you to commit sins, but remember, God offers you forgiveness and endless blessings from His boundless love. God knows everything and cares for you deeply.

(269) God gives wisdom to whomever He chooses. And those who receive wisdom are truly blessed with much goodness. But only those who use their minds will be mindful of this.

(270) When you give or make a promise, remember that God knows everything. Wrongdoers won't find any support.

(271) Giving to charity is good, whether openly or in secret, but giving privately to those in need is even better. It can help make up for your mistakes. God knows everything you do.

(272) You can't guide everyone, but God guides anyone He chooses. When you do good, it's good for you, and any charity you give will be repaid fully and fairly.

(273) Charity is for the poor who are dedicated to serving God and can't go around looking for work. They may seem dignified, and you'll recognize them by their appearance. They don't beg for money, and remember, God knows whatever good you do.

(274) Those who give generously, whether day or night, in public or private, will be rewarded by their Lord. They have nothing to fear or grieve about.

(275) People who take interest on loans will stand on judgment day like someone who's gone crazy because of Satan's touch. That is because they said, "Trade is like interest." While God permits trade, He forbids dealing with interest. If someone repents and stops, they can keep what they've earned. But if they persist, they'll end up in the Fire, where they'll stay.

(276) God forbids dealing with interest and encourages giving to those in need. He doesn't appreciate those who reject His guidance and live in sin.

(277) Indeed, for those who believe, do good deeds, pray, and help those less fortunate, their reward awaits them with God. They won't live in fear or sorrow.

(278) O you who believe! Be mindful of God and stop demanding interest from others if you're true to your faith.

(279) If you continue to do this, then be ready for a battle with God and His Messenger. But if you change your ways, you can keep your initial investment. It's all about doing what's right and not causing harm.

(280) If someone struggles to pay you back, consider giving them extra time. And it's fantastic to help out those in need through charity if you only realized how much good it does.

(281) Remember, there's a Day when you'll all return to God. Each of you will be fully accountable for your actions, and no one will be mistreated.

(282) O you who believe! If you owe someone money for a specific period, write it down. And to keep things fair, get a trustworthy person to write it down as God has guided. They shouldn't refuse to do so. So, let them write it down, and you can tell them what's owed. When you're doing this, remember to fear God, your Lord, and don't try to change anything. But if the person who owes money isn't great at handling things or can't express themselves, then someone responsible should help them. Call two people from your community to be witnesses. If you can't find two men, one man and two women of your choice can serve as witnesses.  The second woman is there to remind the first if she forgets. You can't just say no when someone asks you to be a witness. It's essential to write down all the details, even the time you'll repay, whether a significant amount or small. This is fair in God's sight, provides solid evidence, and helps prevent doubts. Now, if it's a simple deal where you pay right away, you don't need to write it down. But anytime you make a more significant agreement, ensure there are witnesses and provide the person writing it down. Let no harm come to the scribe or witnesses.  If you do that, then you have made a very serious mistake. So, remember to be mindful of God, and He'll guide you. God knows all about what you do.

(283) If you're on a journey and can't find someone to write things down, keep a record in your own words. But if someone trusts you with something, honor that trust and show respect for God, your Lord. Don't hide important information, for whoever conceals it, their hearts are sinful. Remember, God knows everything about your actions.

(284) Everything in the heavens and the earth belongs to God. God knows everything, whether you share your thoughts out loud or keep them inside. He watches what everyone does and can decide to forgive or punish as He sees fit. God has the power to do anything.

(285) The Messenger believes in the guidance revealed to him by his Lord, and so do the believers. They all strongly believe in God, His angels, His Books, and His messengers. They don't distinguish between the messengers, acknowledging them all as sent by God. Their response is, "We hear, and we obey. We seek Your forgiveness, our Lord! Our ultimate return is to You."

(286) God doesn't ask any soul more than it can handle. The good things it does are for its benefit, and the bad will only harm it. Believers pray, "Our Lord, don't blame us for forgetting or making mistakes. Don't give us burdens like those before us. Don't test us beyond our abilities. Instead, forgive us, be kind to us, and be our protector.  Grant us victory over those who don't believe."
