In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
(1) Kaf, Ha, Ya, Ayn, Saad.
(2) This is a mention of how God showed mercy to His servant Zechariah.
(3) When he called upon his Lord privately with a quiet voice.
(4) He said, "My Lord, my bones have weakened, and my hair has turned gray. I've always turned to You, and You have never disappointed me.
(5) And I'm worried about my family's faith after I'm gone, and my wife can't have children. Please bless me with a child from You who will be my successor,
(6) who will continue my legacy and be a blessing to the family of Jacob. Please, God, make this child someone You're pleased with."
(7) God said, "O Zechariah! Indeed, you will have a son, and his name will be John. Nobody has ever been named John before."
(8) Zechariah asked, "But My Lord, how can I have a son when my wife can't have children and I am too old?"
(9) An angel reassured him, "Don't worry, God can make it happen. He created you when you were nothing, which is easy for Him."
(10) He said, "My Lord, give me a sign." God replied, "Your sign is that you won't be able to talk to people for three days, even though you will be perfectly healthy."
(11) So, he left the place of prayer and used hand signals to encourage his people to remember and praise God in the morning and afternoon.
(12) It was said, "O John! hold firmly onto the Scripture." And We granted him authority when he was still young.
(13) And We gave him a kind heart and a pure soul. He was a God-fearing person.
(14) He also respected and loved his parents, never being disobedient or rude.
(15) May peace be with him on the day he was born, the day he will pass away, and the day he's raised alive.
(16) And mention in the Book, O Prophet, the story of Mary when she withdrew from her family to a place in the east.
(17) Mary screened herself to stay hidden from others. Then, We sent her Our Spirit, 'angel Gabriel,' who appeared to her as a perfect man.
(18) Mary said, "I seek protection from the Most Merciful. Please, leave me alone if you fear God."
(19) The angel reassured her, "I'm only a messenger from your Lord to tell you that you will have a pure son as a special gift."
(20) Mary wondered, "How can I have a child when no man has ever touched me, and I was not flirty?"
(21) He said, "Your Lord says, 'This is easy for Me, and We will make this child a special sign for the people, a mercy from Us. It is a matter that has already been decided.'"
(22) So, she carried the baby in her belly and went to a quiet, secluded place.
(23) When it was time to give birth, she leaned against the trunk of a palm tree and said, "Oh, I wish I had passed away before this and been forgotten and never existed."
(24) But then a voice called out to her from below, "Don't be sad; your Lord has created a stream for you here.
(25) And shake the palm tree's trunk towards you, and it will drop ripe and delicious dates for you.
(26) So, eat, drink, and be happy. And if you see anyone, just let them know, 'I have pledged to fast for the Most Merciful so that I won't talk to anyone today.'"
(27) Then she brought him back to her family. They said, "Mary, you've done an outrageous and terrible thing!
(28) O Aaron’s sister, your father was not a bad person, nor your mother was a loose woman.
(29) Mary pointed to the baby. They were surprised, "How can we talk to a baby in a cradle?"
(30) The baby, Jesus, replied, "I'm indeed a servant of God. He gave me the Scripture and made me a prophet.
(31) He's blessed me wherever I go and taught me to pray and give to those in need as long as I live.
(32) I'm also kind to my mother, and God did not make me a disobedient rebel.
(33) May peace be upon me on the day I was born, the day I pass away, and the day I am raised back to life."
(34) That's Jesus, the son of Mary, the word of Truth, although some people doubt it.
(35) It doesn't make sense for God, who deserves all praise, to have a child! When He wants something to happen, He says, "Be," and it is.
(36) Jesus said, "And indeed, God is my Lord, and He is your Lord too; so, worship Him. That's the Right Way to go."
(37) But the different groups had different opinions. So, Woe to those who don't believe, especially on the Day of a scary event.
(38) Listen to them and watch them on that day when they come to Us. But those who do wrong today are clearly on the wrong path.
(39) And warn them about the Day of Regret, when everything will be settled; they are unaware and unbelieving.
(40) Indeed, We will inherit the earth and all its inhabitants, and in the end, they will all return to Us.
(41) And mention Abraham in the Book. He was a truthful man and a prophet.
(42) Once, he asked his dad, "Why do you worship something that can't hear, see, or help you in any way?"
(43) He said, "O father! I've learned something you don't know. Follow me, and I will guide you on the Right Path.
(44) O father! Don't worship Satan. Satan disobeys the Most Compassionate.
(45) O father! I'm worried that God might punish you, and you will end up in Hell with Satan."
(46) His father warned, "Why won't you worship my idols, Abraham? If you don't stop, I might stone you to death. Just leave and stay away from me for a while!"
(47) Abraham said, "Peace be upon you. I will ask God to forgive you. He's been Kind to me.
(48) And I will distance myself from you and the things you worship instead of God. I will pray to my Lord, and I trust that I won’t be disappointed in my prayer to my Lord.”
(49) Then, when he distanced himself from them and what they worshiped instead of God, God blessed him with sons Isaac and Jacob. And We made both of them prophets.
(50) And We showered them with Our mercy and spoke highly of them because they were genuinely honorable.
(51) And mention Moses in the Book. God chose him, and he was both a messenger and a prophet.
(52) God called him from the right side of a mountain and brought him close for a special connection.
(53) And out of Our mercy, We made his brother Aaron a prophet to be with him.
(54) And mention Ishmael in the Book. He always kept his promises. He was also a true messenger and a prophet.
(55) Ishmael used to encourage his people to pray and give to those in need, and God was pleased with how he lived his life.
(56) And mention Enoch in the Book. He was a sincere man and a prophet.
(57) We honored and raised him to a high position.
(58) These are some of the prophets whom God blessed, of the descendants of Adam, and of those We carried with Noah, and of the descendants of Abraham and Israel, and of those whom We guided and selected. When they heard the verses of the Most Merciful, they were deeply moved, falling to the ground, humbled and in tears.
(59) However, some abandoned prayer and followed their desires after them. They will surely suffer the consequences.
(60) But there's hope for those who turn back to God, believe, and do good deeds. They will enter Paradise and never be treated unjustly.
(61) The Gardens of Eden, which the Most Merciful promised to His devoted servants, are a reality that will come true in the future.
(62) There's no nonsense in this fantastic place. They will hear nothing but peaceful greetings and have delicious provisions served in the morning and afternoon.
(63) This is Paradise, a gift for those who live a good and faithful life, just like an inheritance.
(64) Angels say, "We come down only when our Lord commands. To Him belongs everything in front, behind, and in between us. Your Lord never forgets."
(65) God is the Lord of everything in the heavens, the earth, and everything in between. So, worship Him and be patient. Can you think of anyone even close to being as great as Him?
(66) Some people mockingly say, "Will I come back to life after I'm gone?"
(67) Did the human being forget that God created him before when he was nothing?
(68) So, by your Lord, We will gather them and the devils and bring them around Hell, humbled and defeated.
(69) Then, from every group, We will take the ones who have been most rebellious to the Most Merciful.
(70) We know very well who deserves to be punished in it.
(71) Every one of you will have to face it. It's the decree of your Lord, and it will indeed happen.
(72) Then We will save those who were God-fearing, while the wrongdoers will remain in it, humbled and defeated.
(73) And when Our clear signs and messages are recited to them, those who don't believe ask those who do, "Who do you think is better off and has more influence?"
(74) Remember how many generations before them We destroyed, even though they had more wealth and beauty.
(75) Say, "If someone is lost in doing wrong, God gives them time until they see what they're warned about, either punishment or the Day of Judgment. That's when they will realize who's in a worse place and weaker."
(76) God helps those who follow His guidance and guide them even more. Doing good deeds that last brings the best rewards from God and leads to the best results.
(77) Have you ever met someone who rejects Our signs and claims, "I'm going to be rich and have a family in the afterlife!"
(78) Did he somehow peek into the future or receive a promise from the Most Merciful?
(79) No, not at all! We will record what he says, and Hell will be even more painful for him.
(80) We will inherit everything he's proud of, and he will stand all alone before God.
(81) They have chosen other gods instead of God, hoping to gain strength and protection from them.
(82) But no! These gods will reject their worship and turn against them.
(83) Can't you see how We send the devils to those who don't believe, making them misbehave all the time?
(84) Don't be in a rush to see them being punished. Indeed, We're keeping track of their actions until a certain point.
(85) On the Day, We will welcome the good-hearted as special guests to the Most Merciful.
(86) And We will send the wrongdoers to Hellfire like a herd of cattle to drink from.
(87) Only those given authority by the Most Merciful will have the power to speak up for others.
(88) And they say, "The Most Merciful has begotten a son."
(89) You are certainly saying something monstrous.
(90) The sky almost bursts apart, the earth shakes, and the mountains crumble and fall.
(91) All because some claim that the Most Merciful has a child.
(92) It just doesn't make sense for the Most Merciful to have a child.
(93) Everyone in the heavens and the earth must come to the Most Merciful as a servant.
(94) Indeed, He knows them all and counts them all.
(95) On the Day of Judgment, every person will stand before Him alone.
(96) For those who believe and do good things, God, the Most Compassionate, will surely shower them with true love.
(97) Indeed, We gave you this Book in your language to bring good news to the kind-hearted and warn those against it.
(98) And how many generations have We wiped out before? Can you feel their presence or hear a word from them?
