In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
(1) Praise be to God, Who made His servant travel from the Holy Mosque to the Farthest Mosque at night! We blessed the places around it to show him some of Our amazing signs. Indeed, God is the One Who hears and sees everything.
(2) And We gave Moses the Scripture as a guide for the Children of Israel. It said, "Don't trust anyone else but Me with matters."
(3) O descendants of the crew on Noah's ark! He was a genuinely grateful servant.
(4) In that guidebook for the Children of Israel, We warned them, “You're going to mess up on Earth twice, and you'll get super arrogant.
(5) When the first of the two warnings happened, We sent against you some of Our powerful servants who entered the innermost of your homes. And this is a warning that was fulfilled.
(6) Then We gave you victory against your enemies, gave you lots of money and children, and increased the size of your community.
(7) If you practice goodness, you do goodness for yourselves, but if you commit evil, you do it against yourselves. And when the second warning comes to pass, they will embarrass and humiliate you big time, going into the Temple of Jerusalem just like before and wrecking everything they can get their hands on.
(8) Maybe your Lord will show you mercy if you change your ways and repent, but if you go back to doing evil, then We will go back to punishing you. And We made Hell a prison for those who don't believe."
(9) This Quran shows what's right and promises that those who do good will be significantly rewarded.
(10) But for those who don't believe in the afterlife, We have prepared for them a painful punishment.
(11) People pray so hard for bad things to happen just like they pray for good things. People are always in a hurry.
(12) We made the day and night as two unique signs. So, We made the night dark and the day bright so you can enjoy and seek blessings from your Lord and understand how to count the years and time. We've explained everything clearly.
(13) We have tied everyone's deeds to their necks, and on Judgment Day, We will bring out a scroll with all their deeds spread before them.
(14) It will be said, "Read your scroll; today, it's just you answering for yourself."
(15) If someone follows the Right Path, it's for their good. And if they choose to go the wrong way, it's their loss. No one carries the sin of another, and We don't punish until We have sent a messenger.
(16) And when We decide to destroy a city, We warn the rich folks in it to be good. But if they don't listen and keep doing evil things, then it becomes fair for God to destroy the whole city.
(17) Imagine how many people We wiped out after Noah! Your Lord knows everything about His servants and sees when they do wrong.
(18) Those who are only about enjoying this world, We let them enjoy it for a bit. Eventually, We will place them in Hell, where they will be roasted, condemned, and feel rejected.
(19) But those who are looking forward to a great life after this one, putting in the effort and being a true believer in God, that effort will be appreciated.
(20) We give gifts to all, both the good and the not-so-good people, from the generosity of your Lord. Your Lord's generosity is not limited.
(21) Some people get more blessings than others, and the afterlife will be even better, with higher rewards.
(22) Don't worship anyone but God, or you'll end up condemned and rejected.
(23) Your Lord says, "Worship only Me and be super nice to your parents. Even if they get old, be patient and kind. Never raise your voice at them."
(24) Be humble with them and say, "My Lord, have mercy on them, just like they took care of me when I was a little kid."
(25) Your Lord knows what's in your heart. If you do good and turn to Him, He forgives those who return to Him.
(26) Always support your relatives, help the poor and homeless, and avoid wasting money.
(27) People who waste their money are like brothers of the devils, and Satan is ungrateful to God.
(28) If you can't help someone out because you don't have the means right now, but you're hoping for help from God, at least say something nice to them.
(29) Don't be too stingy, or people might blame you. Also, don't be too generous; you might end up broke and regret it.
(30) God generously provides for whoever He chooses and sets limits. He knows and watches over His servants.
(31) Don't kill your children because you're scared of being poor. God takes care of them and you. Killing them is a terrible sin.
(32) Do not go near adultery; it's immoral and an evil way.
(33) Don't kill anyone unless it's necessary for a just cause—every life is sacred to God. If someone is wrongly killed, their family has the right to seek justice, but it's essential not to be overly harsh in seeking retaliation, and God will be there for support.
(34) Don't touch the money that belongs to an orphan unless you mean well until they grow up. When you promise something, stick to it because promises come with responsibilities.
(35) Always be fair when evaluating things, and use the right tools for measurement. This is a wise choice, and it leads to positive outcomes.
(36) Don't just go along with things without understanding them. Eventually, everyone must answer for what they've seen, heard, and understood.
(37) Don't be arrogant and think you're better than others. You can't crack the earth or stretch yourself as high as the highest mountains.
(38) God doesn't like people who do these things.
(39) This is the wisdom God has given you. Stick to God and don't go after other gods. If you don't, you will end up in Hell, condemned and rejected.
(40) Did your Lord give you sons while choosing angels as daughters for Himself? What you are saying is a great thing.
(41) We've explained this Quran in different ways so that people think, but some rebel even more.
(42) Say, “Imagine if there were other gods with Him, as they claim. They would probably try to overthrow Him and take His throne.”
(43) He deserves all praise and is way above what they say about Him.
(44) Everything in the seven heavens, on Earth, and everyone in them, praise Him. Everything praises Him, but you might not understand how. Indeed, He's Patient and Forgiving.
(45) And when you read the Quran, We create a hidden shield between you and those who don't believe in life after death.
(46) And We put a cover over their hearts, and heaviness in their ears, so they can't understand. And when you mention your Lord being the Only One in the Quran, they turn away in disgust.
(47) We know how they listen to you when they listen and when wrongdoers say in secret, "You're just following a bewitched man!"
(48) Look at how they make comparisons for you. They're lost, and they can't find their way.
(49) They say, "Will we be brought back to life when we've turned into bones and dust?"
(50) Tell them, "Even if you turn into stones or iron.
(51) Or something even more challenging than what you know." Then they will ask, "Who will bring us back?" Say, " Well, it's the One Who created you in the first place." And they will shake their heads and say, "When is that?" Say, "Well, it could be sooner than you think."
(52) On the Day He calls you, you will respond by praising Him, and you'll realize you only lived for a short time.
(53) Tell My servants to say the best. Satan tries to cause conflict among them. Indeed, Satan is humanity's enemy.
(54) Your Lord knows you best. If He wants, He can show you mercy or punish you. And We didn't send you as their representative, O Prophet.
(55) Everyone in the heavens and the earth is known to your Lord. We have favored some messengers over others and gave David the Psalms.
(56) Say, "Call upon others besides God. They can't remove your harm or change your life's challenges."
(57) Even the ones closest to God, when they pray, are just trying to connect to Him. They want His love and mercy but are also scared of His punishment. Indeed, God's punishment is very intense.
(58) No society that engages in evil deeds will escape; We will either destroy or severely punish them before Judgment Day. This is already written in the Record.
(59) What prevented Us from sending miraculous signs is that people rejected them in the past. We even sent a she-camel to Thamud as a clear sign, but they mistreated her. And We only send these signs as warnings.
(60) Remember when We said, "Your Lord knows everything about mankind." And the vision We showed you and the cursed tree were meant to test people. We scared them, but they just became more stubborn.
(61) God told the angels to bow to Adam, and they did, except for Iblis. He refused, saying, "Should I bow to a creature made from clay?"
(62) He added, "You favored him over me. If you spare my life until the Day of Resurrection, I'll mislead his descendants except for a few."
(63) God said, "Go away! Whoever follows you among them, then Hell is your reward and theirs, and it's more than enough punishment.
(64) And try to mislead them with your words, gather your friends and team up, share with them wealth and children, and make promises to them.” But remember, what Satan promises are only lies.
(65) "But you won't control My servants. Your Lord is enough to protect them."
(66) Your Lord guides the ships on the ocean so that you can find His blessings. He's Merciful to you.
(67) And when you're in trouble at sea, those you worship besides Him disappear, and you call no one except Him. But when you're safe on land, you forget about Him. People have always been ungrateful.
(68) Do you feel so secure that He won't let the ground collapse underneath you or send a tornado against you that leaves you with no shelter?
(69) Or do you think God won't take you back there to the sea, send a big storm your way, and overwhelm you because you're not grateful? There's no one to protect you from Us.
(70) Indeed, We have honored the children of Adam by giving them ways to travel on land and sea, providing them with good things, and favoring them over many other creatures.
(71) On the Day of Judgment, We will call each group by its leader. Those who receive their record in their right hand will read it, and no one will be mistreated, not even a tiny bit.
(72) But those who are blind to the truth in this life will remain blind in the next, leading themselves astray.
(73) Some people tried to make you abandon what God revealed, thinking you'd come up with something else. Then they would have befriended you.
(74) If We hadn't strengthened you, you might have leaned towards them slightly.
(75) And if you had, you would face double punishment in this life and the afterlife, and you would have no one to help you.
(76) They almost tried to kick you out of the land, but they wouldn't have lasted long after you left.
(77) This has been Our way with the messengers We sent before you. Our way of doing things will never change.
(78) Make sure to pray from when the sun starts going down until it's fully dark, and also pray at dawn. The dawn prayer is especially important because angels are there to see it.
(79) Spend some time in the night praying and doing extra prayers to get closer to God. This way, God might raise you to a place of honor.
(80) And say, "My Lord, let me enter and exit places safely, and give me the power and support I need."
(81) Speak up, saying, "The truth is here, and lies are gone. Indeed, lies are going to disappear!"
(82) We send healing and mercy through the Quran to those who believe, but it increases the wrongdoers nothing but loss.
(83) And when We bless the human being with goodness, he ignores it and moves away. But when tough times hit him, he feels hopeless.
(84) Say, “Everyone acts in their way, and only God knows who's on the Right Path.”
(85) And they ask you about the soul. Tell them, "Only God truly knows, and whatever knowledge you were given is very little."
(86) If We wanted, We could have taken away what We revealed to you. In that case, you won't find anyone to protect you from God.
(87) Except for God's mercy, His favor upon you has been great.
(88) Say, "Even if all humans and jinn joined forces, they could never make something like the Quran, no matter how hard they try."
(89) We've given all kinds of examples in this Quran, but most people deny the truth.
(90) They say, "We won't believe you until you make a spring gush from the ground for us.
(91) Or, until you have a garden with palm trees and vines, make rivers gush through them.
(92) Or, if you can make the sky fall on us in pieces, or bring God and the angels before us.
(93) Or if you live in a golden house or can fly in the sky. Even then, we won't believe unless you bring us a book to read." Say, "All praise belongs to God. Am I not just a human messenger?"
(94) And what's stopping people from believing in guidance when it comes to them? It's just because they question, "Did God send a human messenger?"
(95) Say, “Even if angels were walking on Earth in peace, We would have sent them a messenger angel from heaven."
(96) Say, “God is enough to be a Witness between you and me. He knows everything about His people, and He sees everyone.”
(97) Whoever God guides is on the Right Track, and if He leads someone astray, no one else can help. On Judgment Day, those who got led astray will be confused, blind, dumb, and deaf and end up in Hell. We'll make the fire even stronger for them when it calms down.
(98) That is their reward for turning away from Our signs and mockingly asking, "Will we be brought back to life when we're just bones and dust?"
(99) Seriously, can't they see that the One Who created the heavens and the earth can make the likes of them? He has set a time for all this, but some folks deny the truth.
(100) Say, “Even if you had all the treasures of God's mercy, you'd probably hoard them because people are very greedy.”
(101) Ask the children of Israel about those nine signs God gave Moses. When Moses showed them to Pharaoh, he said, “O Moses! I think you are under some magic spell.”
(102) He answered, "You realize these miracles are from the Lord of the heavens and the earth, right? They're meant to make you understand. O Pharaoh! I believe you're doomed."
(103) Then Pharaoh chose to scare them off the land, but We drowned him and his group together.
(104) And after all that, We told the Children of Israel to settle in the land. Then, when the Hereafter promise comes, We will bring everyone together."
(105) We sent this Quran down, and it's true. We sent you to share good news and give warnings.
(106) The Quran was revealed to you gradually so you could share it with people step by step.
(107) Tell them, "Believe in it if you want, or don't. Indeed, when they hear it, those who know are deeply moved, humble themselves, and bow down."
(108) And they say, "Praise be to our Lord! Surely, Our Lord's promise has come true."
(109) They're so moved that they bow down, tears streaming down their faces, deepening their sense of humility before God.
(110) Say, "Call upon God or the Most Merciful—whichever you call, He has the Most Beautiful Names. Keep your voice moderate when you pray, not loud or silent, but just right in between."
(111) Say, "All praise be to God! He has no children, no one to share His rule, and He's not weak, needing someone to defend Him. And show Him a lot of respect. He deserves all the glory."
