In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

(1) Alif, Lam, Ra.  These are the verses from the Book that explain things clearly.

(2) Those who don't believe might wish they were Muslims, submissive to God alone.

(3) Let them eat and enjoy life, have fun, and keep their hopes up. They'll find the truth in time.

(4) God has never wiped out a community without a set time for it to happen.

(5) No one can speed up or slow down their destiny.

(6) They say, "O you who got the Reminder! You must be crazy!

(7) Why don't you show us angels if your words are true?"

(8) Angels are only sent down for good reasons; when that happens, the punishment for those who don't believe will immediately come.

(9) We've revealed this message and will keep it safe and sound.

(10) Certainly! God sent messengers to different communities before you, O Prophet.

(11) Messengers were always laughed at when they tried to share God's message with those people.

(12) This is how God lets wrong beliefs get into the hearts of evil people.

(13) They won't believe the Quran, even though they know what happened to people before them.

(14) Even if We opened a gate to heaven, let them climb up and up.

(15) They'd say, "Our eyes are playing tricks on us; We are people under a magic spell or something.”

(16) We have set up astonishing star patterns in the sky, making it look incredible for everyone to enjoy.

(17) And We protected them from nasty devils.

(18) Except for the ones who try to eavesdrop, they will be chased by a shooting star.

(19) We've spread the earth wide, with mountains to keep it strong, and everything grows in a perfect balance.

(20) We provide for you and others, even if you don't directly help them.

(21) We control the treasuries of everything and bring them down with known quantities.

(22) We make the winds spread, plant seeds, and send rain from the sky to help them grow. Then, We will let you have that rain to drink. You can't control where the water wells are.

(23) We give life and take it away; We are the Ultimate Inheritors.

(24) We certainly know those who came before you and those yet to come.

(25) Your Lord will gather all, for He knows it all and is the All-Wise.

(26) We created people from sounding clay molded from black mud.

(27) And the jinn was created before from smokeless fire.

(28) Remember when your Lord told the angels, "I'm making a human from sounding clay molded from black mud.

(29) Then when I've shaped this human and breathed life into him through a spirit of My creation, bow down and show respect."

(30) All the angels did as they were told and bowed down.

(31) Except Iblis. He refused to bow down with the others.

(32) God asked, "O Iblis! Why didn't you join the rest in showing respect?"

(33) Iblis replied, "I won't bow to a human-made from sounding clay molded from black mud."

(34) God commanded, "Then, leave Paradise, for you are indeed cursed.

(35) The curse will be upon you until the Day of Judgment."

(36) Iblis requested, "Give me time until the Day of Resurrection."

(37) God granted, "You will have time,

(38) Until the appointed time.”

(39) Iblis declared, "Because You've led me astray, I'll try to tempt people on earth and deceive them all.

 (40) Except for the ones who remain faithful to You."

(41) God said, "This is the Way, binding on Me.

(42) You have no power over My faithful servants, only those who follow your sinful ways.

(43) And Hell is where your followers will end up, as promised.

(44)  It has seven gates, each for different groups.

(45) But the righteous will indeed, find themselves in gardens with fresh springs."

(46) It will be said to them, “Enter in peace, safe and content."

(47) And We will remove any bad feelings in their hearts, and they will be like brothers and sisters, sitting on thrones, facing each other.

(48) They'll never get tired or be asked to leave.

(49) Tell My servants that I am the All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

(50) But be aware, My punishment is the most painful punishment for those who go astray.

(51) Tell them about the unexpected visitors that came to Abraham one day.

(52) When they arrived, they greeted him, "Peace." Abraham felt a little scared and said, "I'm afraid of you guys."

(53) The visitors reassured him, "Don't be afraid! We have some exciting news about you getting blessed with a wise young boy."

(54) Abraham was surprised and asked, "You're giving me good news now when I'm old? What's the good news about?"

(55) The visitors replied, "We've got some excellent news in all truth, so don't lose hope."

(56) Abraham responded, "And who loses hope of their Lord's mercy except those who are lost?"

(57) Curious, he asked, "So, what brings you here, O messengers?"

(58) They said, "We've been sent to a town with many sinful people.

(59) But don't worry, we plan to save everyone in Lot's family.

(60) Except for his wife, she'll be left behind."

(61) When the visitors reached Lot's family,

(62) Lot said, "You're not from around here, are you?"

(63) They replied, "We've come to settle a dispute that people are talking about.

(64) We're here to bring the truth and are sincere.

(65) Pack up your family and leave town quietly tonight. Don't look back; follow our instructions."

(66) We told him this decision: "By tomorrow morning, God will wipe out the last trace of these folks."

(67) And the townsfolk gathered with excitement.

(68) Lot said, "Indeed, these are my guests; please don't cause any trouble.

(69) Fear God, and don't embarrass me."

(70) They responded, "Haven't we warned you not to protect anyone?"

(71) Lot responded, "Fine, if you insist, you can marry my daughters."

(72) By your life, O Prophet, they were wandering blindly and out of their minds, carried away by their desires.

(73) Then, a powerful explosion struck the town at sunrise.

(74) And We flipped the towns of Sodom and Gomorrah upside down and showered them with stones made of baked clay.

(75) There are important lessons in this for those who pay attention.

(76) Their ancient remains are still scattered along an existing road.

(77) Certainly, this is a sign for those who believe in God.

(78) The people in the Woods were also clearly in the wrong.

(79) We punished them, and today, you can find the remains of both nations along a well-known route.

(80) The people of the Stone Valley rejected the messengers too.

(81) Even though We gave them Our revelations, they turned away.

(82) They thought they were safe living in mountain houses.

(83) But a mighty explosion hit them early in the morning.

(84) Everything they had gathered became useless.

(85) We created the heavens, the earth, and everything in between with a purpose. The Hour is approaching, so forgive with a compassionate heart.

(86) Your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator.

(87) And We have certainly given you the seven often repeated verses and the Great Quran.

(88) Don't envy what some people have; instead, be kind to your fellow believers.

(89) Tell them, "I'm here to give you a clear warning."

(90) A warning, like We gave those who divided the Scripture.

(91) Those who accept some sections of the Quran and reject others. 'Or, like some people who call it magic, poetry, or old tales.'

(92) I promise you! We will question all of them.

(93) About the things they've done.

(94) So, preach what you've been commanded to, and avoid those who believe in many gods.

(95) We'll deal with the mockers, don't worry.

(96) Those who associate other gods with the One God will come to realize their mistake.

(97) We know you're upset by what they say.

(98) So, glorify and praise your Lord and stand with those who bow down to God.

(99) And keep worshipping your Lord until your appointed time comes.
