In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.
(1) Alif, Lam, Ra. These are the verses of the Wise Book.
(2) Do people find it astonishing that God has sent a message to a person from their community, telling him, "Warn everyone and share good news with believers about their special status with their Lord?" But some people who don't believe said, "Indeed, this person is a magician!"
(3) Certainly, your Lord is the One Who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then settled on the Throne, managing everything. No one can speak up without His permission. That is Allah—your Lord, so worship only Him. Don't you think about that?
(4) You will all go back to Him in the end. God's promise is true. Indeed, He creates everything and brings it back to life to reward those who believe and do good. But those who don't believe will have a boiling drink and a painful punishment for not believing.
(5) He is the One Who created the sun to give you light and the moon to shine at night with specific phases. This helps you understand the passage of time and its calculation. Everything God made has a purpose, and He makes these signs clear for those who seek knowledge.
(6) Certainly, the way the day and night change, along with everything God has made in the heavens and the earth, are clear signs for those who are mindful of Him.
(7) Certainly! For those who don't think they'll ever meet Us and are happy just living in this world without paying attention to Our signs,
(8) Their home is the Fire because of what they do.
(9) But those who believe and do good things will find their way with the help of their Lord because of their belief. In the beautiful Gardens of Bliss, rivers will flow beneath their feet.
(10) In their prayers, they'll say, "Glory be to You, O God!" They greet each other with "Peace!" And when they finish praying, they say, "All praise is to God, the Lord of everything."
(11) If God made bad things happen as quickly as people want good things, they would be in trouble. But We let those who don't think they'll meet Us make mistakes in their rebellion.
(12) And when tough times hit someone, they turn to Us in prayer, whether lying down, sitting, or standing. But once We take away their trouble, they return to their old habits as if they never asked Us for help! That's how wrongdoing seems attractive to those who break the rules.
(13) We've destroyed other communities before you for their wrongdoing. Even though their messengers showed them clear signs, they refused to believe. This is how We deal with those who do wrong.
(14) Then, We appointed you as the new generation on Earth after them to see how you would behave.
(15) And when Our clear messages are recited to them, those who don't want to meet Us, say to the Prophet, "Give us a different Quran, or change this one!" Tell them, "I can't change it on my own. I only follow what's revealed to me. I'm afraid of a big, painful Day if I disobey my Lord."
(16) Say, "If God wanted, I wouldn't have recited it to you, and you wouldn't even know about it. I've been with you a long time before this. Don't you get it?"
(17) And who's worse than someone who lies about God or denies His messages? Indeed, the sinners won't succeed.
(18) They worship things besides God that can't help or hurt them. They say, "These things can speak to God for us. " Say, "Are you telling God something He doesn't know in the heavens or the earth?" Glory be to Him! He's far above what they link to Him.”
(19) All people used to be one big group of believers, but then they started having disagreements. If it hadn't been for a decision from God, those disagreements would have been resolved quickly.
(20) They say, "If only he had a miracle from his Lord!" Say, "The future is with God, so just wait. I'll be waiting too."
(21) And when We show people mercy after tough times, they start plotting evil against Our messages. Say, "God is the best at planning. Our messengers record your evil plots."
(22) He is the One Who helps you when traveling, whether on land or sea. Imagine being on a ship, sailing with a cool breeze, and having a great time. Suddenly, a strong storm hits, and huge waves crash all around. And they feel trapped and scared. In that moment, they turn sincerely to God and pray, “If You save us from this, we will be grateful.”
(23) But once He rescues them, some people forget their promises, start doing evil things on earth, and become unjust. O People! You're only hurting yourselves! Life on this planet is like a temporary thrill, and eventually, you'll return to Us, and We'll remind you of everything you did.
(24) Life on Earth is like rain that falls from the sky. It helps plants grow, and people and animals depend on these plants for food. When everything seems perfect, and people think they have everything under control, Our commands come, day or night, and mow it down like it never thrived before. This is a lesson for those who think about life deeply.
(25) God invites everyone to the Home of Peace and guides those He chooses on the Right Path.
(26) Those who do good will get awesome rewards and even more. Their faces won't be covered with sadness or shame. These are the folks who'll enjoy Paradise forever.
(27) But for those who do evil, they will be rewarded by a similar evil. Shame will come upon them, and they won't have anyone to protect them from God. It's like their faces are covered in darkness. They will be the residents of the Fire forever.
(28) Think about the Day when everyone will be gathered together. God will say to those who worshipped other gods besides Him, "Stay where you are with your fake gods." Then We'll separate them, and their fake gods will say, "You didn't worship us!
(29) God is enough as a Witness between us. We had no idea of your worship!"
(30) At that moment, everyone will remember what they did, and they'll return to God, their True Master. The fake gods they believed in will leave them behind.
(31) Ask them, "Who gives you everything from the sky and the earth? Who controls your hearing and sight? Who brings life from death and death from life? And who manages everything?" They will answer, "God!" Say, “Why not fear Him then?
(32) That's God, your True Lord. What's there beyond truth except lies? So, How can you be turned away?”
(33) Your Lord's decision has been made for those who disobey. Indeed, they won't believe.
(34) Can any of your idols create something and recreate it? Say, "Only God creates and recreates. So why are you so confused?"
(35) Ask them, O Prophet, "Can any of your idols guide you to the truth?" Say, "God is the true guide." So, who deserves to be followed: the One Who guides to the truth or those who can't find their way unless someone guides them? What's going on with you? How do you decide?
(36) Many believe in things without knowing if they're true. But assuming things is not the same as knowing the truth. Indeed, God knows everything they do.
(37) This Quran couldn't have been written by anyone except God. It confirms what was revealed before and explains the Scriptures. It comes from the Lord of all worlds.
(38) Or do they claim, “He made it up?” Say, “Then produce such a chapter like it and seek help from anyone you want other than God if you are truthful.”
(39) They refuse to accept this Book without understanding it, just like those who came before them. They reject things they don't know much about, just as those in the past did. So, wait and see what happens to those who do wrong.
(40) And some believe in it, and some don't. Your Lord knows who's causing trouble.
(41) If they call you a liar, say, "I have my works, and you have your works. You have nothing to do with me, and I have nothing to do with you."
(42) Some of them listen to you, but can you make the deaf people hear, especially when they don't want to understand?
(43) And some people among them keep staring at you. But can you guide those who are lost and can't see?
(44) Certainly, God doesn't mistreat people; people make wrong choices for themselves.
(45) On the Day God brings everyone together, it will feel like they only spent one hour on earth and were getting to know each other. Those who rejected the idea of meeting God and didn't follow the Right Path will be truly lost.
(46) If We make you see some of what We threatened them with, or if We make you pass away before that happens, everyone will return to Us, and God is a Witness watching everything they do.
(47) Every nation has received a messenger. Once they receive that message, they will be judged fairly, without unfairness or wrongdoing.
(48) And they ask, "When will this threat come true if you're telling the truth?"
(49) Tell them, "I have no power to harm or help myself; it's all in God's Hands. For every nation, there's a set time. When the time comes for them, they can't postpone it even for a bit, and they can't make it happen sooner either.”
(50) Say to them, "Think about this: What if God's punishment suddenly came upon you, whether it's day or night? Do the wrongdoers even understand the seriousness of what they're asking for?
(51) Will you only believe in it when it happens to you? Right now? But you've always wished for it to happen quickly!”
(52) Those who have done wrong will be told, "Taste the punishment that will last forever. You're only getting what you earned."
(53) And they ask you, "Is this true?" Say, "Yes, I swear by my Lord, it's true, and you cannot stop it."
(54) And if everyone who did something wrong had all the stuff in the world, they would give it up to ransom themselves with it. And when they see the suffering, they'll regret what they did, and a fair judgment will be made. No one will be mistreated.
(55) Surely everything in the heavens and the earth belongs to God. God's promises are true, but most people don't realize that.
(56) God gives life and takes it away; in the end, you'll all return to Him.
(57) O People! Indeed, here is a message from your Lord that has come to you. It is guidance and healing for your hearts and full of wisdom and mercy for those who believe.
(58) Tell everyone, "Rejoice in God's grace and mercy! It's way better than whatever stuff you collect."
(59) Have you ever thought about the food God provides for you? You made some of it forbidden and some okay to eat. But did God tell you to do that, or are you just making things up about God?
(60) And what about those who tell lies about God? What will they think on the Day of Resurrection? God is so Generous, but sadly, most people don't appreciate it.
(61) No matter what you're up to or reading from the Quran, God always keeps an eye on you. Not even an atom's weight is hidden from your Lord. Whether it's something small or big, God sees it all and keeps a perfect record of everything, whether it's happening on Earth or up in the heavens.
(62) Good news for God's close servants – they have nothing to fear and nothing to be sad about.
(63) Those who believe are mindful of Him.
(64) There's good news for them in this life and the next. God's promises never change; that's the ultimate success.
(65) Don't let what people say get you down. Indeed, all honor and power belong to God. He hears everything and knows everything.
(66) Everything in the heavens and the earth belongs to God. Those who worship things alongside God are just following made-up ideas and telling lies.
(67) God created day and night for you to rest and see things. It's a sign for those who pay attention.
(68) They said, “God has begotten a child.” Glory be to Him. He is beyond needing anyone. Everything in the heavens and the earth belongs to Him. Do you have any proof of this, or are you talking about God without knowing for sure?
(69) Say, “Indeed, those who make up lies about God won't succeed.”
(70) They'll have little enjoyment in this life, but in the end, they will all return to Us, and then We will make them taste the severe punishment for their disbelief.
(71) Tell them about the story of Noah. When he told his people, "If my message is too much for you, and if you don't like me reminding you about God's signs, I trust in God. Plan with your fake gods, and don't keep it a secret. Then, go ahead and try to harm me right away!
(72) But if you turn away, I'm not looking for any rewards from you. My only reward comes from God, and I was commanded to submit to Him alone."
(73) Sadly, his people rejected him, but then We saved him and those who believed with him in the Ark, made them successors, and drowned those who rejected Our messages. So, think about what happened to those who were warned.
(74) After that, more messengers came to their people with clear signs, but they still refused to believe what they had rejected earlier. So, their hearts were sealed because of their wrongdoing.
(75) Then we sent Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh and his leaders with Our signs, but they acted arrogant and kept doing evil things.
(76) But then the truth came to them from Us, they said, "This is indeed clear magic.”
(77) Moses replied, "Are you calling the truth magic? Magic won't work; magicians won't succeed."
(78) They were upset, saying, "Are you trying to make us abandon our ancestors' beliefs so that you can be in charge? We won't trust what you're saying!"
(79) Pharaoh commanded, "Get me all the best magicians we've got!"
(80) So, when the magicians showed up, Moses told them, "Go ahead and perform your tricks!"
(81) So, when they did their magic, Moses said, "What you did is just magic, but God will show that it's not real. God doesn't support those who try to cause trouble.
(82) God will ensure the truth wins, even if the wicked don't like it."
(83) But sadly, not many folks believed in Moses, just a few young people from his tribe. They were scared of Pharaoh and his gang since Pharaoh was a big deal in the land and was a bully.
(84) Moses said, "O my people! If you believe in God, then put your trust in Him if you are truly submissive."
(85) The people said, "We trust in God. Our Lord, please don't let us become a tool for the wrongdoers.
(86) Protect us, by Your mercy, from those who don't believe."
(87) We instructed Moses and his brother: "Find a place in Egypt for your people to live. Make it a place of worship and prayer, and give hope to the believers."
(88) Moses prayed, "God, you've given Pharaoh and his gang a lot of wealth and fancy stuff in this world, but they're using it to lead others away from Your Way. Destroy their wealth and harden their hearts so they won't believe until they see the punishment."
(89) God said, "Your prayer is heard. So, keep doing the right thing and don't follow those who don't know better."
(90) Then, We helped the Children of Israel cross the sea, and Pharaoh and his army chased them out of spite. When drowning was about to get him, Pharaoh said, "I believe that there is no god except Him, the One, the Children of Israel believe in, and I'm submissive now!"
(91) Now? After all that stubbornness and rebellion before?
(92) Today, We preserve your body as a reminder for those who come later. Sadly, many people ignore Our essential lessons.
(93) And We did indeed settle the Children of Israel in a blessed place and gave them plenty of good things. They only started arguing when they gained knowledge. On the Day of Resurrection, your Lord will tell them who's right.
(94) So, if you ever doubt what We've revealed to you, ask those who read the Books before you. Your Lord has given you the truth, so don't be one of the doubters.
(95) Don't be someone who ignores God's messages, or you'll lose out.
(96) Indeed, those who have been proven wrong by the word of God won't believe.
(97) Even if every miracle were shown to them, they wouldn't believe it until they witnessed the painful suffering.
(98) If only there were a town that believed and benefited from their faith like Jonah's people! We saved them from disgrace in this life when they believed.
(99) If God willed, everyone on earth would believe. Do you think you can force everyone to believe?
(100) No one can genuinely believe unless God allows it, and those who ignore Him will face His anger.
(101) Say, "Look at everything in the sky and on the earth!" But signs and warnings won't make a difference for those who choose not to believe.
(102) Do they expect anything different from those before them? Say, “Wait, I’m waiting with you.”
(103) Then, We save Our messengers and those who believe. We must protect the believers.
(104) Say, "O people! If you're doubtful about my beliefs, let me make it clear: I don't worship the things you worship instead of God. I worship only God, Who has the power to take your life. And I was commanded to be a believer."
(105) And commit to the true faith, believing in only One God, and do not be a pagan.
(106) Don't call on anything other than God that can't help or hurt you. If you do, you'll be doing something wrong.
(107) If God brings difficulties into your life, nobody can remove them except Him. And no one can stop His kindness when He wants to bless you. He showers His goodness to whoever He chooses among His servants. He is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
(108) Say, “O people! The truth comes from your Lord. If you choose to follow it, you'll be guiding yourself. But if you go the wrong way, that's on you. I'm not here to control you.”
(109) And obey what has been revealed and be patient until God's judgment. He is the Best of judges.
